Meet him for the first time yesterday. Super cool guy! Planning to do some training together later this month when we are staying in his town for a week
@@kristian.blummenfelt I think in track and field it is quite common knowledge that spikes make you faster on the tartan. At least I have never seen anybody competing seriously with running shoes.
Hiya.... that was a good 10k effort, given the pacer failed you that early (was that by design?). I am sure you'll be able to smash it at some point Kristian. A couple of final thoughts: - Even if you run-taper properly I suspect that it is hard to achieve a proper overall taper with the other two disciplines going on even if you end up going easier on swim/bike in the immediate run-up. I guess this has to be considered a fact of life for a triathlete; - You guys need to have a proper look at how to manage leg tension on race day. Running 11k in the morning, that slow for you, it just doesn't work.. it kills your legs. You are a 13'45" or so guy on a 5k no?... if you really need a shakeout 3/4k at 3'30/3'45" pace will do. Too long/too slow in shakeout never a good idea. Which might not be the main reason a race doesn't go to plan but it puts one at disadvantage to begin with. Peace out.
Thanks for you advice! The pacer did a good jog. 3k help is better than no k help... so the plan was 3-4K at 2.50 pace. I where the one who didn’t have it in my legs
for such elite athlete, such amature gear choice for track meet.... the shirt and head band make you run hotter. the shoes already have track like technology for the road, so on a track they sort of cancel out the boost effect - thats why spikes are better
I live few dozen Km from Podersdorf and we have here 30 degrees Celsius during the summer sometimes peaking around 36/37. But no fifties 😱 It’s just cold front these days, unusual actually
The guy with the mtb who rode with you was a complete badass. Nuts of Steel😂😛🤗
I’ve never heard anyone describe sleep like it’s a workout (2 x 1 hours) 😂 Also are we just going to ignore Gustav’s t-shirt?!
I know right ! Gustav always looks so fresh ! 😂
And again this is a pretty cool video, very interesting content and relaxed!
Marcus will be watching

What an amazing effort, but i dont know how you do to run faster in triathlon😂, where can i buy that headband you use to run?
Unfortunately not for sale 🤷♂️
@@kristian.blummenfelt what a shame, thanks Idol🙌🙌
I would think that 2:58 km (29:42) is just a threshold run for you ?
Anyway, great video and best of luck !
Props to the guy on the MTB. 😅
Ebike maybe ? ⚡️⚡️⚡️
@@raphaellima9539 Guess they are driving faster than 25kph. So, an ebike wouldn't help him anyway..
Surprised you don't wear spikes for track races, especially chasing for time
Would be fun trying it out. But haven’t gone “that” serious into it. Not even sure if it’s faster or not ? Seems like the runners don’t agree on it ?

Martin Anders Sondre Norstad Moen set the norwegian national record in the next % shoes
@@martinanders4236 it depends on the distance, 10k is very long
Flat soles are chronic on the track
💪💪💪
It's good life for Arvid, just tanning and someone pays for it! Should be swimming trunks model by the end of pandemic then 😅😃

15º or 16º in july 😱, in my City, we are at 50º 🥵
Degrees Celsius not Fahrenheit
Elsa Staaf 50º Celsius
From the Middle East? Looks really tough for them to deal with the summer heat and training at the same time! 🥵
