  • Welcome back to the channel.
    We hope you enjoyed our HOUSE TOUR last week. If you haven't watched yet here is the link:
    • FULL TOUR of our House...
    This week we walk into the house as home owners for the very first time. We start planning where things like the fridge, the bench, the oven, etc should go and we start giving our home a fresh coat of paint.
    I will share an update of our situation in Italy and how this affects what and how we do things, like renovating our house and spending money.
    As promised in our last video, I will show you why we don't recommend hiring a Hertz van at IKEA. Spoiler alert, we almost wasted a 2 hour trip to IKEA.
    As always, I hope our experience entertains you, and most importantly helps you on your own journey.

    I watched with some great admiration as the first video (found by accident as I dreamed of adventuring beyond America) and the determination exhibited by man and wife in their own escape/adventure. It wasn't until several videos later that I remembered Italy ranks high for environmental damage by earthquake.

    The brown marks on the chimney stack are most likely water marks from ingress of water from around chimney on the roof. I'm sure this is easily resolved by a person who knows or has skils in sealing or making watertight. Don't attempt to fix yourself or by someone who does not have skills. When you have fixed clean back the internal plaster by removing all stained plaster work. Only do this when you are happy the leak is fixed and secure. Once fixed if you find the water stain is still coming through use a little satin oil paint on the area. That wl stop stain from coming through any fresh paint....

    I really like everything you’re doing. I’ve been looking at properties similar to yours in similar areas that you guys are at or have mentioned so for me this is like the best thing on RUclips. You guys have the cutest place in the greatest location and I sense you got like the dream deal. That view from your terrace and that perfect little place so close to the beach in a beautiful little town. I’m so happy you guys were so persistent about looking at it. Nice work with everything

      Oh KavanaKavana, your comment makes me so very happy.
      We love our house and the town we live in. Being not far from the beach gives us the best of both worlds ☀️♥️

    Wow thank for sharing, sure looks like alot. When you said la barba, for a minute there, recognize spanish and from a previous video a comparison with colombian farm house, visited there too. Yes, if this is meant for you then the hard work would bring much joy. For however long the citizenship connection comes inrto play tye sytem would see the hard work you've done. It seems to me that Italian system is keen in verufying if people can proof they can afford to live there, omg much different than the US but we actually reachee an excess. It is good to know that properties are less there however the financing at 50/60 LTV isn't easy unless people have a load of cash to drop. It is a nice place to retire though as retirement age in the US can be a long way according to year one was born. As of now it remains a mystery, good luck with everything. Its great you have these videoa and good connections, congrats🎉

    I don't trust car rental companies and don't use them. I always find a company that delivers. :) Glad you got the furniture. :)

    Your guardian angels worked overtime when you were stuck with all that furniture in IKEA. Thankfully your money was eventually returned. I enjoy watching your process of cleaning up and restoring your new home and I was wondering if the light fixture that you said was held up by cobwebs, 😂 is Murano glass? It is very pretty. Do you have to pay a toll every time you drive from one house to another? I’ve driven all over the western United States and except for a few places in Los Angeles, I have never run in to a toll booth. I know they have them in the eastern U.S. only because I see them in movies. It’s definitely something I would have to get used to.

    • @rossinniandco
      @rossinniandco  Год назад

      Hi VLPs, about the lamp I'm not sure. I don't think I know Murano glass enough to be able to tell. It does look vintage though :)
      Yes, we do have to pay tolls every time we go from one house to another. There are tolls all over on the freeway. They're located at the exits. Some times there may be a way to avoid tolls and go via the back roads but it can be longer, the roads may not be great, or the GPS can lose signal.
      That's one of the reasons we love Molise. The only tolls you have is if you are traveling North to Abruzzo or South to Puglia, but in between cities and towns there are no tolls.

    sure looks like mold up there in the attic....have u inspected the roof closely?🤔

    • @rossinniandco
      @rossinniandco  Год назад +1

      Hi Robert. The plumber came and said it is a smoke mark as the chimney chamber passes through there. Apparently they're too common.
      Luckily the roof is in perfect condition as that is one of the biggest expenses 😃

    Hertz in the USA has some serious issues. They have reported rental vehicles as stolen after they have been legally returned and customers have proof of return. This has resulted in legal expenses as Hertz has filed theft charges of their cars. There it’s a general boycott of Hertz in the USA still since they have not resolved issues within their system and people are still being charged with felony theft of the cars they rent even after they have been returned. Thank you for mentioning this issue, if you have a web site please post so others can see what goes on there.
