Hey Adam, I have watched your videos every day without fail for about a year now and you have taught me so much about having a positive outlook on life and being humble. You are doing great things. Remember that! -Linley
Thanks so much for this. In the midst of a world that sometimes seems to have gone mad, you bring light to days and remind us to keep making memories. Thanks for the daily smile.
Been watching you for some time now because I can relate to what you are doing. I left Indiana right after Thanksgiving in 1979 and hit the road in a new ford van with a mattress, pillow, and cover. I kept going until December of 1994. Saw every state, never missed an Indy 500 because I used to build Indy cars, saw Alaska on my own terms, been to Hawaii, and loved every minute of it. We didn't have U-Tube then or I would still be going. Instead I worked one or two days a week at labor pools. On June 24th I will be 72. I just might hit the road again but on a motor scooter. Ck me out on F/B. I have a great life story and am about half done writing it. The title.....Riches to Rags.
Its crazy to see the house where Eazy E was living, walking, staying, for him it was just a living life, for us its amazing to even see that house through YT video.. Brings some goosebumps vibe.
+axel hose he's a wise man lol. Even though it is safe to record in most streets, there are some in where you'll run into idiots, so I don't blame him specially with all his tattoos. He can pass for a white Mexican so I dont think his being White is an issue lol
I suspect that was more about the buyer not being interested in being posted on RUclips than anything else. To be honest, that section he drove through, at least, looks fairly decent (nice cars parked, few bars on windows, lack of graffiti, etc.).
MrJest2 that house has been recorded before. I'm sure Easy E's family still live there and they most likely don't mind having their house recorded. I think Adam was worried a bit but I don't blame him...Adam you should know that in that street you can walk around the block and to that house like you did at the Wonder Years filming location
rollin hard now under control then wrap my six fo round a telephone pole, I looked at my car an I said oh brotha I throw it in tha gutter an go by anotha
Thanks Adam. That was so pleasant and went by so fast. Thanks for the glimpse of the Carpenter house. Saw them when I was a teenager. So sad. so sad. Thanks again for all you do.
Adam - been dealing with pretty serious anxiety and depression issues lately. I want you to know that your videos, and both of your channels, have really helped me when I get "down". I stumbled upon your nick studios video, and haven't stopped watching since. Thanks a lot man, you're incredibly talented and your videos and filming style make me feel like i'm right there next to you on these adventures, which then makes me forget about whats going on in my head. Truly, thank you!
Cool to see you in South LA. My hometown is in this area. Hollydale. You would like the abandoned TB/Asylum in Downey as well known as Rancho. It's also where some Rose Parade floats are made every year. Huge abandoned hospital town pretty much. Now where cops & military train. 2 stations on it. I attended the private school adjacent. It's awesome as well. Pius Campus. Our building was an earthquake hazard built before the 60s. Has a Catholic chapel in it. Just awesome and ere.
The tank bearing the serial you read out is said to be a M60A3 Patton tank on the wikimapia website.Unfortunately I couldn't find out why it is there.Lists of preserved tanks in the USA,which have been complied by military vehicle experts like Neil Baumgardner, don't mention anything special about it sadly. I can say that these M60A3s were introduced after the Vietnam war and M60s in general finally retired from the US Forces in 2005.Although by this date the tanks had been serving in a training role.
That looks like a Patton Tank used from the Korean war up until the Gulf War 1991. Our local VFW just reconditioned(painted) theirs. I was told those tanks could be brought back into service if ever needed.
Wow!! the house Easy E lived and the house with the history that surrounded Karen Carpenter all in one video. This was very impactful and emotionally moving for me to watch and still to this day i cant believe they are both no longer with us.Eazy E the founder and first original member of the iconic groundbreaking rap group NWA and Karen arguably one of the best,if not ''The Best'' female vocalist to ever live!May they both continue to eternally forever rest in peace. They are both sincerely missed! Thanks Adam for bringing a little of their history together in this video.
It is fun to watch as you prepare for your upcoming journey, and see the gradual paring away of your belongings. Live the dream. The clouds looked like cumulus. Cumulonimbus clouds are what make up thunderstorms.
I have been to see the Caepenter's house, when she first passed. Yes you're correct, that was their studio. She had the voice of an angel. Rest In Peace beautiful Karen 💜
In California especially, refridgerators are a HIGHLY regarded possession! In fact, most apartments don't even include a fridge. You'll be looking over an apartment, then you'll see this rusty pipe sticking out of the wall, and be like 'What's that?' The building manager will go "Its for the fridge." 'Huh?' "Oh you don't HAVE a fridge?!??" They'll say in total amazement, like you just told them that you don't have a spleen. "Well, we DO have one that you can rent, for an additional 20 dollars..." 'Oh, ok, throw it in.' The rules are different out in CA.
you're doing good, adam! i've been continuing with my weekly gym workout regime (which i'll be upping to twice weekly) and i am slowly seeing results. haven't lost much weight but i think it's because i'm replacing it with muscle (which is denser than fat). definite improvement in the belly region, though. also slowly changing eating habits. been moseying right passed the cookie section. like a boss! feeling so much better.
when I was watching the carpenter's house part of your vlog I got superstar stuck in my head it kinda sets the mood since it was long ago thank you for the vlog
You're never supposed to lay a refrigerator down on it's side or back, it creates air bubbles in the cooling system. Typically the damage is minor and full cooling capability can be recovered by rolling the fridge on all 4 sides a few times to disperse the bubbles. But in some rare cases, the bubbles can burn out the compressor and kill the system. But hey, as long as the new owner was cool with it, then they must know what to do. Regardless, love your vlogs, been watching daily for months now.
"... I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation ..." first song that came to mind when you mentioned The Carpenters. Yeah, I had a tape or two of theirs as a pup. I remember thinking they were a couple & being so surprised to find out they were siblings.
Your daily videos are so fun to watch everyday. i cannot drink a bottle of water without crushing it everytime! i see a compilation video of you crushing bottles in your near future lol
Adam ,should've visited the McDonald's on Florence and Lakewood while you were in Downey. it's supposed to be one of the oldest running McDonald's in the world. there's even a little museum right next to it
Dang dood... did you go to Downey again? I lived there for years. Carpenter's lived there as far as I know. Also, that was probably a Sherman Tank... Any idea if it was a "Firefly" Sherman?? Anyways, boss video. Love catching your daily stuff. Will contribute when I can. Cheers.
Adam I have a question for you. You know when you are driving down the street on a normal day and you see people either going home after purchasing a new frig or just moving from one location to another and you ALWAYS see the frig standing up right?? Do you know why that is? So they do not damage the compressor in the frig. What is that laying down in the back of your van?? Just thought you would like to know that bit of trivia... :)
Years ago i grew up in Lynwood in the early 90s we would gi that park and play on that tank it had no gates around it then it was some other stuff out there to , Wow you brung back some memories i called it before you said it once u said South Gate Aka SURGate
Ever since Dan Conner, of Roseanne, said in the tornado episode "Oh man look at that cumulonimbus" its been one of my favorite words. Nice to know someone that appreciates it, as I do. There was a fairly big controversy when Richard Carpenter sold the Downey house a few years back. Fans wanted it turned into a historical site, and the family that eventually bought it endured a lot of online hate for awhile. Curiously, they reported that Richard had sold the house As-Is, leaving behind furnishings, as well as family photo albums, dressers filled with paperwork (copies of Carpenters recording contracts, etc.,) and other personal items. Very strange. Ultimately, the couple that purchased the house held a yard sale prior to moving-in, and got rid of most of it. For what it's worth, my sister is a Carpenters fan, and she lived in the area a few years back. She said that virtually every person she spoke to who had known or interacted with Karen Carpenter told her what a genuinely sweet person she was.
"Moving away" by emptying out your house a few pieces everyday is a really smart way to do it. I must say I am impressed. It takes away so much of the stress of moving.
good vlog adam,im here at the contemporary resort watching this thinking off you and your old vids off disney, would like to meet you one, keep up the good work,👊
I don't think Karen Carpenter died in that house. She collapsed in a nearby house that doesn't exist anymore. This was the house they bought for their parents.
Be careful man, people get shot there for going too slow, u need too be careful in those hoods man fr, stay safe Adam and keep making videos but don’t take risks like going too Compton, I wouldent even step in Compton, keep making videos but be safe while doing it

The tank looks pretty cool.

Ck me out on F/B. I have a great life story and am about half done writing it. The title.....Riches to Rags.

Man, that was a truly cool Daily Woo. Thanks for posting these! Love all music history. Good job. Take care...
That's an M-60 tank. USMC received those in 1975-76 at Camp Pendleton when I was there. The Carpenter house was intriguing. Thank you.
Thanks Adam. That was so pleasant and went by so fast. Thanks for the glimpse of the Carpenter house. Saw them when I was a teenager. So sad. so sad. Thanks again for all you do.
Love your videos Adam. They make my morning every day.
The drone stuff interspersed with your vlog really works. Thanks for the hard work you put it to making these daily films.

My aunt lived a block away, I went to visit that house back in 91
I grew up in South Gate. We had a gutted fire engine and a tank in the play grounds at that park. Many cool memories at that place.
Hello, I live in South Gate too. :)
Hi from the UK, thanks for your uploads they make my evening watching the latest episode
Greetings from Germany, very nice to see all of your Adventures you have every day.

That looks like a Patton Tank used from the Korean war up until the Gulf War 1991. Our local VFW just reconditioned(painted) theirs. I was told those tanks could be brought back into service if ever needed.
Perfect timing for my daily fix - never ceases to bring a smile 😀

When new units are delivered from a place....say like Sears or Menards....its always kept in the upright position
Great timing! I just saw a TV special this weekend on A&E about Compton. If this was the 1940's, you would have gotten out of the van to film more LOL
Yes Adam, if your facing the front of the Carpenter's house like you were their recording studio was on the left end.
The Carpenter house is actually in the city of Downey. Richard sold the house with everything in it when his parents passed away.
Good Stuff! Thanks Adam..
Nice vlog and very entertaining Adam!! Its so cool how LA has so much "Famous History". Thanks Adam!!
Adam I really like the edited daily vlogs, they have renewed my interest in your channel
thank you , glad you enjoy them
RIP to the legend Eazy E! Comptonnnn
I've been thinking it was time for a haircut (for you) for a couple of weeks now. Can't wait to see you all clean cut and stuff!
"... I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation ..."

Hahaha, not going to get outside of the van and do a standup talk on the sidewalk in Compton? hehehe
Ok Adam how did u get the fridge in the van with no help
i like how you go check out interesting shit, keep them coming
Never get enough.
There's a park by me called Bangert Park that has a full sized tank too, but this one the kids and the occasional adult can climb on.
We've got lots of old army tanks in parks in PA :)
Adam ,should've visited the McDonald's on Florence and Lakewood while you were in Downey. it's supposed to be one of the oldest running McDonald's in the world. there's even a little museum right next to it
fullermrff also should've visited the Taco Bell near alondra boulevard near Kelly park
Dang dood... did you go to Downey again? I lived there for years. Carpenter's lived there as far as I know. Also, that was probably a Sherman Tank... Any idea if it was a "Firefly" Sherman?? They had a bigger gun to try to thwart the new German Tiger Tanks, to which they failed except for the fact the allies had so many more tanks despite their weak armor. (I'm a Firefly SciFi fan). Anyways, boss video. Love catching your daily stuff. Will contribute when I can. Cheers.
I'm think I'm going to love this vlog.

There's also a tank that sits right in the middle of downtown lol
@2:42, that's called 'The Marine Layer.' It will clear up by 1:00.
Hi, Adam thanks for going to the Carpenters house. I loved the video😀
My brother and I played that Now and Then record into the ground.

I don't think Karen Carpenter died in that house. She collapsed in a nearby house that doesn't exist anymore. This was the house they bought for their parents.
