I am VERY surprised! I had NO IDEA this song even existed, and this is so funny! And also really good! Jan Egeland, is a Norwegian politician, UN undersecretary and humanitarian worker who also helped in the Thailand Tsunami disaster. And this song is about him. I LOVE IT!

They call themselves Svågerz because they are 😁 Kim is Tommy's brother in law. They sang together in Tommy's cover of Christmas Time in his calendar and they also did a cover of I Want Out by Helloween many years ago under the name Granskogerz. To provide some context: Ylvis made the song (or, really, the anthem) of Jan Egeland when someone sent a strongly worded e-mail to Ylvis' talkshow where they critizised the duo for not congratulating Jan Egeland with his birthday

He was the guy singing duet with Tommy, in the song "Christmas time", in Tommys christmas calendar.
The origin of this particular song, is that people were upset that comedy-duo Ylvis had ignored Jan Egelands birthday. So to make amends they wrote this over the top tribute song to him. Very funny!

David, you do not know who Kim is??? Kim is Tommy's brother in law...Svågerz....😀He is Tilias father, remember the little girl Tommy sang with for christmas. Kim and Tommy did a duet in the christmas calendar too. They are amazing together. Kim is great singer and a great musician. Don't take that song seriously though 😄😄. I love the instrument changes and Kims guitar solo is fantastic. And I love Tommy's bass.

@@GivenToe Ja, Empty Rooms var kanon! Gary är rätt 'gammal' här i huset och han har ju gjort såå många bra låtar. Han sägs vara den som kunde spela Jimi Hendrix låtar bäst eller kanske bättre... Det finns en live från en konsert här på tuben, (tror det var i London) där han spelar Hendrix låtar. T ex 'Red House', helt otroligt bra!, även 'Voodoo Child'.

I have become a huge fan of Tommy's just from listening to your channel have never heard of him before, do you know if Tommy has released any CDs or material as I have searched everywhere but no luck.

Tommy has released 6 albums with his band ReinXeed, they changed name to Majestica (and switched to Nuclear Blast Records) in 2019 and released 2 more albums. He also released 2 cover albums, Swedish Hitz Goes Metal l & ll Edit: Majestica (ReinXeed) is Tommy's "baby" - he started that band when he was 14 (he basically played all the instruments on the first album, then he got bandmates) and kept it going for 20 years now
Jag hade inte heller hört den här låten förut men bandet Ylvis hade en megahit som hette ”What does the fox says” och den har säkert du också hört. Ylvis är en norsk komikerduo och jag tror att det finns nån story om varför dom gjorde en låt om Jan Egeland.
