Vegeta knew how to use the Kamehameha because one of Sun Wukong's powers was to instantly share how to use his techniques, and his transformation here was a callback to that part of his origins.

The film is a original take / mish mash of what we love from Dragon Ball.
Goku's whole ghost rider thing was actually him turning into Son Wukong (Who Goku is based off of hence the monkey look)
Vegeta knew the Kamehameha cuz in the actual Son Wukong story... He could share powers and techniques by touching wrists.
(Peep how before the final blast Vegeta got Super Saiyan back and instantly knew to use Goku's move)
Lastly peep the audience... Saitama... Akuma... Akira Toriyama and a few others make a cameo.

The creator of this stated to be in super saiyan requires a lot of focus and control so when vegeta got hit and he falls out of super saiyan it’s because he’s lost focus

This short film did what no other scene in Dragon Ball *EVER* did; It had Saiyan refuse to revert back to normal, have them transform while fighting (not just standing there powering up), had them continue the fight when knocked out of Super Saiyan (instead of just being knocked out or standing their shaking in fear that they were knocked out of their form) and materialize weapons using their Super Saiyan power while on their normal state.
It was also awesome that they essentially merged Super Saiyan with the Oozaru form; implying that their tails is key to accessing that form and giving Goku, who has never used that form, a more monkey-like appearance. It's a callback to when Vegeta first came to Earth and could maintain his ego while transformed into an Oozaru, while Goku would always lose control when he was one. Not to mention Goku's form is a rendition of Sun Wukong. All these references were made with old-school fans in mind.
I really liked how they actually let my boy vegeta actually do something instead of being a punching bag and getting kicked in the nuts. Like I get it that he brakes down and then like a Phoenix he is supposed to rise again but even after all that he still gets mopped up and needs goku who who clearly dieing in the backgrounds help. Like in this one he went down as well but he went down swinging and took an arm.

Did anyone noticed that chichi is hella strong, at Broly's first punch she actually blocked and only moved when he put his energy into it. Ma boi the details are insane 🔥🔥👌
And when she charges in for that punch, she actually beefs up like Roshi does, but to a smaller extent. The details in this are INSANE!

She blocked a base Broly too. One that's already crazy enough without going LSSJ. That's mighty impressive for an end of Piccolo jr. arc Dragon ball Chichi. And she did manage to pressure Goten in training fights enough to go SSJ as a kid.
12:43 I mean. . . Only thing Broly did here was put boots in Vegeta's gut, crushed his ribs, yoked him up and knock him out of super sayian 3x's, meanwhile Vegeta was putting hands and forehead on Broly, made him bounce of a concrete slabs like a trampoline and took his arm. . .
After all the L's Vegeta took from the Canon, non-canon amd fan remakes, I say let Vegeta have this W.

Skitten. I get that your not a fan of the fact that they had to double team Broly to win. I get that that's not honorable. But frankly all rules went out the window when Broly broke Chi-Chi's arm. If I'm in a first fight and some dude and he breaks my girls arm... I don't care I'm pulling out the .45, baseball bat, WHATEVER. Rules be damned.
How about you pull the .45 and your homie pulls the baseball bat to pulverize the dude's skull while he's down?
I love how it's such a deep love and appreciation for the series, but it's ALSO something so new, creative, and just downright impressive.

This animation highlights a major problem with current Dragonball: there is no longer a feel of Chinese mythology in it.
The distinct martial art styles. The tails. The power pole. All gone.
I would love goku to have a primal form like that; coming full circle with his “Sun wukong” inspiration. I’d love to see him learn magic or dabble in mysticism like that sword Vegeta formed. I’d love more distinctive martial arts in the show again.

The tails were problematic, you see the moon, go berserk, and can kill everyone you love. You couldn't really master the Giant Ape form either. The power pole fell behind as the power scaling rose too. It's sad but it had to be done if it were to focus on martial arts.
well now Broly has that berserk form where his eyes are yellow because he's channeling his great ape primal form but still as humanoid

I watched this the other day, and it was amazing! Easily the best Dragon Ball fan work I’ve seen in some time, and it’s made me a fan of the team that did this.

Son goku is based off of sun wukong (the monkey king) there both overpowered goofballs, thats also why he has a tail but in this story you can see a little light wrap around vegeta coming from goku’s mouth, the monkey king can instantaneously share knowledge among people.
14:15 the Final Flash is superior to the Kamahameha Wave but the baddie always have too much power and stamina left whenever Vegeta uses it.

Let's hope Toei doesn't catch wind of this. They have a track record of killing actual unique fan projects.
Don't look at this as anything like the dragon Ball Z you know. This is a different reality where the say and race was never under freezer and was allowed to thrive. So they might have a lot of different personalities. Including Goku probably never lost his memory so of course he'll know Vegeta and his real name and all that. And Vegeta's probably already met Goku for the reason why he knows the Kamehameha.
I know this took 4 years to make this and it looks amazing and beautiful and I love every minute of it but I feel like it was too short, like I know they didn’t have the budget to make it longer but now that this is out I’m sure hundreds of millions on people around the world are gonna do everything they can to make sure they have more than enough of a budget to make a even better and much longer sequel and maybe even a series

I know this fan made short took 4 years to make this. But this is really mind blowing! A good combination of martial arts choreography of Dragon Ball and power ups/transformations from DBZ. It deserves to have it’s own series. Mainly I wanna see more of Goku’s Sun Wukong transformation, as well as Chichi as an actual martial artist, and the war against Frieza’s empire. Can we all agree on this?
Loved DB as a kid, haven’t kept up after DB GT but I’m so glad this animation kept the tails lol
4:43 I love the way he said that, cause it's true af. Broly, much like a selection of few Saiyans are strong as hell by birth. This guy trained his whole damn life to get there. Also, props to my guy, Vegeta. Finally, they did him justice. Still wish he would've faded Broly.

No one has ever taken Broly down by themselves its always a group effort or plot punch
Conceptually speaking you could fit this decently into the actual canon of the show.
All you'd have to do is introduce Kid Vegeta, have him and Goku have their 1st fight somewhere between the 22nd and 23rd World Martial Arts Tournaments. Vegeta respects Goku's choice to train on earth after they whoop each other's asses. Then at the 23rd Martial Arts Tournament (where Goku and Piccolo Jr. had their fight) the lots are changed and Goku ends up fighting Piccolo sooner. Of course, winning and resting, then fighting Chi-Chi in the finals maybe the next day after repairing the ring.
Then we enter this.
6 minutes 30 seconds when Vegeta throws his cape to Bulma, right next to Yamcha is one punch man

If skitten has never seen DragonBall Z then why not do the abridged series as a reaction? It'd be great content, it shortens the story a lot while still keeping most of the key points, and it's pretty awesome after the first season. That being said I will admit it'd probably be a copyright strike nightmare so I think I just answered my own question.

I love the alternate timeline going on here, Planet Vegeta never was destroyed by Freeza, because he never got there or something. Broly brought the fight to Goku, Vegeta's the new king, and his dad's alive and an emperor, Goku's super saiyan transformation is more like his monkey king origin story that Dragon Ball was based off of. The only thing I don't like...no Piccolo. Everything's better with Piccolo. He was supposed to be the one making the Tournament a fight to the death in the original. Wonder what he's doing now. Did King Piccolo never die, and the Piccolo we know doesn't exist? Because, frankly, that would suck HUGE Donkey Balls.

Final Flash ‘should be’ pretty strong, but after like the fifth time it wasn’t the ‘final’ move at all, Vegeta stopped using it so he wouldn’t get bodied by people calling that out.

Broly wasn't done dirty, just got to say. This is a trope DB uses all the time. Antagonist comes in bouncing heads and you know the victor will always be the hero in an initial match up. However, the tone is set for an incredible, dare I say, unique and unexpected future given the nature of the cliffhanger. This will not be the last we see of Broly or the dynamic duo Vageta and Goku (Kakarot). Only, expect Goku and Vageta to get ALOT stronger and Broly as well. Yes plot armor is often used in the DB universe, but I think this sets up for more hazardous and trying situations in the future. Perhaps the same DB feel with a more suspenseful series of arches.
The 5 things you need to know about Broly.
1. Big mad, almost always
2. Massive petty vindictive crybaby, nothing is ever his fault and he will make you pay for whatever you did
3. Mans does not do conventional ki blasts, no hand gestures, no charging, no finger beams, you’re getting a flying bomb every time sometimes multiply at once, or occasionally a mouth blast
4. loves green, always wearing it -even when rebooted-
5. Will always inevitably shift the color of the sky, we don’t know why it happens but The Broly is not in full effect until it happens. it’s also a trademark move of his, no one else can do it (from fear of being sued, he doesn’t say much but has lawyers that make Disney shiver)
6. Hates children, has been shown to punt children distances at minimum comparable to length of highway
