Kayak Fishing for Big Backwater Winter Speckled Sea Trout!!!

20 MPH gust on the main bay so the conditions where definitely not ideal for kayak fishing but, with the ability to get way back to the end of a creek the fishing produced. This time of year with the colder water temperatures make these trout swim way back in the creeks to find warmer water. This is also the time of year around the Pasco Florida area you can find them big girls in the 20 to 25 inch mark. All fish where caught on a popping cork with a 12 to 15 inch monofilament leader, 2.0 j-hook and the good old Lews Xfinity combo. 15 lb Power Pro braid.
