Everyone else says leave to callous over .....I get +90% success with : callous over place in dry compost and light spray every 2-3 days to keep damp but not wet . I like the ice trays and spoon use though

I just love this. The ice cube tray idea is so appealing. Thank you for sharing.
Only thing I would change is to use a cut paper napkin to line the tray instead.
Paper towels are strong and paper napkins break down easily.
I will try it myself. Lets experiment and learn.

Among the others, yours is the most effective! I think the tissue option will work for a country like ours, Philippines, because of our hot weather. I tried soil but none of the roots came out even after a week. You're such an inspiration!

I’m going to try this, Lele. I have been filling a flat with dry soil and setting the leaves on it, no water, but now I’m going to use pony pack containers and add a little water to soil. 😘👍🏼💚
If you propagate in soil and just spray water. Don’t add 50% soil, 50% water . The leaves will be rotting. If you use water propagation, just water only
@@lelessucculentsusa8978 yes, that’s what I did today. Put on flat of dry soil, misted lightly with water, put in sheltered potting area. 😘👍🏼

Hello good evening...
I m subscriber of your valuable channel can you tell me Crassula ovata branch propagation in water is possible now in india ( today 7th Feb) early spring season.
Actually I purchased a couple of Crassula ovata (2plant) is 8 years old.Bit costly.
And among them 2 are leggy , I didn't plant them yet (though bought 15days ago from nursery) , I also succulent soil mixture, perlite and pumice stone. So my query is whether the leggy one should be pruned before planting in new soil media or after planting . If after then how many days after repoting . And the pruned branches I want to propagate in water , whether it will be successful in now early spring season.
