Ahhh dad life… the first one you’ll never take your eye off of them, if that was his second or third kid he would be “go ahead and fall off that mezzanine, your made of rubber and will be just fine” lmao.
what a outstanding garage. any garage with a Ruf is the best garage in the world. especially because Alois and his team certified it a Ruf conversion. Farrah's video taught me all about but it just looks better every time i see. the 996 is a bueatiful car and the headlights are great. traditional lights or like the 997 lights would look horrible on the 996. its lines lend to the lines and edges where as a 997 is more curves and the round lights go with it. the 996 is one of the prettiest 911's. the interior is what it is but the car is so good that the interior can be lived with. outstanding cars my friend. cheers
What an awesome garage, I know he said the rules were you can’t sleep there but it would take the National Guard to pry me away from that building, I’d never want to leave
Ooohhh, man the early toddler back and forth, lol. I was cracking up at all of that because I'm doing the same stuff right now. Really dope spot this is like top level gearhead dream spot.
I think at some point, when the rarity of a car becomes something like this, or a Z-tune R34, or what have you - the market can't be particularly picky about it being wrecked or not. Sure. Those with money will want to flex that their car is ALL ORIGINAL, NO DAMAGE... blah blah blah. But there are ALSO those with money that will see this as a HUGE opportunity to have a 959 that's been properly repaired and restored and will throw an insane amount at it because opportunities like this don't come often.
Not sure if you have or haven’t but if you want to see some new looking old stock, Bruce Canepa should be your next stop. Edit: then he mentions Bruce in the video lol.
“Better than new” with a salvaged title and parts fabricated in house…not sure that 959 will ever reach the value of a non-salvaged 959 with similar mileage. Pedigree and clean titles matters with these cars. Gorgeous car, don’t get me wrong but think the potential value was a bit over-estimated.
I assume you'll never be in the flyover states, but Stone Gate Motorplaza in Kansas City metro has a cool similar setup. I've only seen inside one of the garages and am too poor to even inquire about information. But it's an extremely cool idea.
They have those here in Austin. I inquired about financing and was told that most owners pay cash. So….yeah, that’s not me. Price here was $300k+, I think. I’ll just have to live with my 15x50 storage unit. 😂
So the owner of the 959 didn't insure it and the transport company had no insurance? WTF. I guess it makes sense that the cheap ass owner cheaped out on the delivery service. Just insane.
I dont understand something, if its not his 959 why does he have it in his garage. He mentioned the owner has not seen it yet but he has it in his garage if anyone can explain. Love the garage btw !
Does anyone know if garages like this exist with a landing strip in los angeles? I want to store my cars and a bush plane in California while I only travel for business
There is car storage not like this but they take car of the car and store it, wash it, keep it charged and ready to run at your request. Matt Ferra owns the spot, has one up north too.
Cool garage but also totally illegal. Airports are not allowed to sell space like this for non aviation uses. Unless this is off airport property, but doesn’t look like it.
I enjoyed the silent battle over the TV remote.
same

Me too🤣🤣
As a father, I appreciate the multi tasking you are doing just to keep the interview going.
Thank you for the visit Larry!
nice restore!
Love the kid around. Brought back a few memories of me and my son . 😊
Kid silently stole the show rofl
I thought that man at the start was a giant, and then I realized it was a baby walking in front of him.

GOO! that 996 is in my rotation of desktop background pics from you years ago!
What an awesome garage, I know he said the rules were you can’t sleep there but it would take the National Guard to pry me away from that building, I’d never want to leave
Damn.. If i would have that garage i would not need a home i would live there.. is perfect and those cars are super cool !
You need to come out to Irongate in the suburbs of Chicago, namely Naperville, and they have this exact thing.
Agreed!!

Was my Dream Car when I was a kid. I had numerous Testor Models of this car🔥🔥
Little boy is thinking one day all this will be mine 🤣🤣
That interior is mad
Great garage, I got that book too, off to get it from its safe place now.
There's another guy that owns a bunch of porsches in that same building. His hanger is gorgeous.
Saw that 959 at Canepa Design a few days after the wreck. I felt like crying.
Not sure if you have or haven’t but if you want to see some new looking old stock, Bruce Canepa should be your next stop.

Dad, let me play with the remote, look, I know how it works 🙂

If there was no insurance, it's not a salvage title

Less than 300 959s and 99.9% are owned by millioaires. I doubt he cares.
This man has taste 👌🔥
who is this guy? cool video
Outstanding
959 super rare Porsche
Love it
Nice collection of cars...
i was panicking when i saw the little guy going up the stairs on his own, lolol... i'm a Dad of two boys, so yeah, i'm a helicopter parent
You were not alone...the further up he went the worse it got.

I had to fast forward that part because I wasn’t looking to have a heart attack today.
The most underrated among the orginal "trinity".

The joy of having a hyperactive kid. It's like herding cats... 😂😁😜
Unbelievable that no one had insurance on this 959 when it was damaged, just plain stupid.
Larry great video.
Beautiful 😍

Some yin with the yang dirtbag builds would be fun. Swapped mmmkay …🤙
That constant loud ass airplane noise would drive me up the wall lol..but then again, i live in a quiet little town in switzerland.
Yeeeeessssss my type of car
But that Eames Chair !!!!
I was hoping for more on the 959... It's why I decided to watch the video. Oh well...
Is the 959 that was on Pelicaon Parts
Forum?
I doubt it - this one crashed on the way to the auction. That one is in Europe and he's been working on it for like 10 years if I remember.
@@MH-ev3wr ahhh got it! Thanks.
Are there any places like this in Virginia?! I need a spot for my herd of cars😂😂 2:57
Anybody know what the discounted price on something like this would be? 🤔
There's no way a crashed porsche, even a 959, keeps its value 100%.
I didn't know Ross from friends was into German cars! 🤣 🤣
Mine and mostly every car guys dream garage

I’m sure the owner gave the shop owner green light to take it to the show. You know how much liability that is
Every Porsche guy says it’s the only 1 in this colour 🤣
Canepa made millions selling these…😊
Would love to see the build, even though it's 3 years....
god I'm so poor
Cool space cool cars, but not a great place for a toddler my nerves wouldn’t handle it😂
Wow
1:37 this is not my type of garage - I need to work on my stuff.
OMG
❤❤❤

@@muazunais2378 sorry I don’t have more info, West Side Collector Car Storage i believe is the name.
I think the compton airport has hangars you can rent/buy to do this. I’m sure on the many smaller airports in SoCal can accommodate you.
@@djconeyjoe thanks man, appreciate it
Anyone focusing on the safety of that child?
Unless that goes back to Porsche it will never drive right.
Shit it's a 959 it's worth what you want it to be and on the flip enjoy the hell out of it what is the miles on it! 12:57
Thought I was going to see a video about a porsche rebuild...instead I got first 5 minutes about a garage ... 🤔
Cool garage but also totally illegal. Airports are not allowed to sell space like this for non aviation uses. Unless this is off airport property, but doesn’t look like it.
Pays two million instant ticket for failed taillight.
No working on cars in the garage. Lame . Dope looking spot though
Feels like you are renting a glorified warehouse its a smart business
shame his kid isnt allowed to touch anything 😵
Thank god no goyard
Bad wreck, unoriginal parts, restoration shop's first time working on a 959... wild guess, it's not gonna fetch market value.
Well said…even if Bruce canepa restored it, I don’t think it would get back up to “pre crash” value
the only thing is that 911 wheels are ugly af. But amazing place and cars
That 959 aint no 2 mil
Sorry but that is an easy fix🙄🙄
Yo, rear balb is out,lol 2mil, though push
