After having seen this review, my feeling is that the new A110 should be reimbursed by national health insurance. Glad to see the owner is happy with his car 6 months after having owned it. Interesting review.
Thanks for your feedback... sounds great . Regards engine heat / CEL from track use, I noticed the GT4 race version has two charge coolers in the engine bay, so that could be helpful for the road cars too that attend track days often.
What a beautiful colour and yes, a brilliant car .... You bought a sports car in a sedan .... You are so correct, it makes you smile and almost sing loud with happiness and joy. Thank you for the brilliant review
Great six month review. I have had my Premiere A110 for a while now and love it more and more every day.. I have had the Litchfield Motors stage one software upgrade to take it to 300BHP and the delivery of the power is exceptional.
That's an interesting mod to know about, though one wonders why if capable, it wasn't tuned at the factory to release that extra 19% of BHP potential? Are there any downsides, such as MPG for instance?
@@productionplan6021 With BHP they didn't max it out on the first models as then they can't release new more powerful models and charge more for them, which you have probably seen by now. When it comes to torque, the gearbox isn't rated for much more.
Very nice! I own an A110S here in Austria and I'm so happy with it. Now for 2 month I smile all day when I have time to enjoy driving it! What a wonderful car! I like the S a little bit more, but if no S would be available from ALPINE for sure I would have bought the normal A110! Stay on the roads - with a smile in your face - ALPINE A110 and A110S!
Great review. Cheers for that. Please do more videos if you can. Also could you mention if anything went wrong in your 1 year ownership experience which is gonna be soon I believe.
Well worth hearing your experience with the car.You will be interested in the You Tube recording "10 annoying things about the Alpine A110". Certainly looks better than the new Lotus which to me looks like a Tonka toy with its profusion of apertures, ducts and vents. Nevertheless "Harrys Garage"was beside himself when he went to pick up his new Lotus recently.
Thank you very much for the review. I have had enough of German overengineering cars, which although built very well, kinda insulate you from engagement and feedback unless you are going at illegal speeds. I need something that feels light straight away and so I think the A110 will be perfect for me!. Cheers
Thanks, I really enjoyed that review. One question I am looking to get answered is whether or not you can safely mount a 3-cup suction device to the central roof area & rear screen, to then take a single bicycle. I believe the company Seasucker fo one called a 'Talon'. Any thoughts?
What count in a real sport car is not the sbsolute power, this is the ratio weight power all in a light weight. For example 1000kg for 252hp will be much more performant in a road race than the same ratio: 1500kg for 378 hp. And for that, no other car can meet the Alpine achievement in this market. Also, you say that Alpine is not cheap, but , when you go to Porsche and ask a 718 model with equivalent equipment, you have to put minimum 78 000 euros plus a big ECOLO MALUS. Finally at a period when everyone is worried about C02 emissions , the consumer of an Alpine can be as low as 6l per 100 km in a normal long ride (I have experienced 6,1 l/100km on a ride of 800 km). Just give me another sport car with the same qualities and so low fuel consumption, for sure not the porsches for consumption, not the 4C and elise for confort in an every day use. And concerning the design, I think that they are all beautiful: 718, 4C,elise, Alpine... it is a question of personal tast.
Is this a base A110 with your own spec, or Legende, GT etc? I think the Focal premium with subwoofer isn't available on the base model, at least on the UK website.
I owned RCZ last year. I consider to get A110 for REAL sport drive. Thank you for your feedback. I'm worried about DCT( no MT model ) and degital speed indication. I also consider to get 718 for MT model. I'm disappointed with card key system.

Thank you for your Alpine videos. I've watched them all - they're great. I'm in the market to buy the car. However before that I'd love your opinion about A110S and comparison to A110 Pure. The S model is faster, stiffer and not much more expensive if you want all the extras on the Pure version. My only question though is it as much fun as the Pure model?
Maybe i can chime in: I drove them both back to back and yes, while the S-Model is stiffer it is also significantly faster subjectively and even sounds better. So i ended up ordering the S-Modell instead of the regular one. It just feels more serious and is even more fun imho. Hope that helps ;-)

@@bartomiejknichnicki6175 Hi from Austria! I had same "problem" and I bought the A110S ... for me it is more serious and I prefer that. If you just want to drive a little bit more with "a knife between your teeth" then the A110S is the perfect tool. for anyone considering getting the stunning car that is the alpine a110, this is a compelling review. however, I would be most interested in hearing more about what may well prove to be alpine`s (ok, renault`s) weakest point, which is quality of materials and workmanship. having driven numerous rented renaults over the years, I was genuinely shocked at the low quality of materials used and the attendant durability issues: compare any renault (for example) to a volkswagen in the correspondant price range and you will know what I mean! of course, such renault-specific issues (especially considering the lightweight materials employed) would only start showing up after a year or two, so I look forward to continued updates...
I owned a VW sharan, with air conditioning cooler leak after 2 years, a VW polo with generator failure after 4 years, and an AUDI Q5 with an engine water leak (pump changed after 6 months). My father had an BMW 325 very expensive and terrible technical problems. I had a Peugeot 3008 (half Q5 price) and no problem after 11years.I think that today, within same price, you have same quality in every manufacturer, mainly because they all use (same) robots, and same providers. Of course a Mercedes or a Porsche are good quality, but look at the price!. And if you make a quality/price ratio, I am not sure they are the best. that said, I like also Porsche
Fail. We have all kind of car brands here around inside family and Renault ist very much okay compared to others. ALPINE is at higher level and Porsche has more quality problems. Just be fair and test drive an used Porsche ... you will start to rethink about Porsche and quality ...
@@carpediem1140 I was hoping to hear specifically about long-term quality experience from the alpine. I have owned volkswagens (scirroccos) for more than thirty years and have had one single repair, ever! a porsche is in essence a high-quality volkswagen, so I don`t really understand the porsche quality issues you are referring to; especially as almost all online reviews of porsche always point out the superior quality. the alpine is a beautiful car, but it is mainly plastic inside, and (thin) aluminium outside; so I suspect that my questions about quality could be valid...I`m still waiting to hear from a long-term alpine owner...
I see what you mean about excessive cold tyre pressures (for the front tyres, at least). 250 kpa equals 36 p.s.i. which I use ‘all round’ for the 235/75 LT tyres on my 4WD station wagon. 200 kpa is approximately 29 p.s.i. which seems more logical for such a light car. I remember Jay Leno saying that the recommended front tyre pressure for the Chevrolet Corvair was 11 psi (or thereabouts) and some idiot Yanks were inflating those tyres to 40 p.s.i.; with predictable results.
You can notice a slight scuttleshake, i.e a chassis torsion vibration over bumps. This is virtually eliminated when you lower tyre pressures to the ideal 1,9-2,0 bars. This is minor - not an issue that should stop you from buying the car!
