- I, like the rest of the world's population (prove me wrong), hate Charmy Bee. I hate his stupid voice, I don't like his design, and he's never a fun presence in any game. So colour me surprised when it turns out he's a top-tier member of The Chaotix!

The only thing I don't like about Charmy is his stinger stopping you in air when colliding with a wall, but otherwise he's a perfect character. He even has his infinite flight when super, so that's cool

... I like Charmy. Damn you don't need to think Charmy fans dont exist.
They're a minority though.
Doesn't help that, despite the Heroes' revival, he isn't playable much (except the spin offs) and a secondary character at best.
Maybe with a nrw Classic game with the Chaotix and with Sega focusing on other characters outside of Sonic and friends could do the trick
8:48 according to the Knuckles Chaotix manual Charmy bee is: "Surprisingly sophisticated for his *16* years" & "he handles things in his usual quick, cool and charming way" very different from the Charmy Heroes fans know don't you think??
I had seen those quotes from the manual, but it was more through gameplay that I realised how he seemed. He isn't as fun to watch as Vector (my king), and due to his size, his lacks struggle to convey any personality outside of looking vaguely angry. Generally, you can get a sense of a character just by watching them stand around, but you can't do that for Charmy, and his design doesn't really indicate anything about him either.
@@The_JackalMan yeah I get that, if anything the manual kind of contradicts his looks as nothing in his design conveys any sign of being sophisticated.
@@nuggets283 thats because its an US transcript which might not entirely reflect the original JP characterization of the character. That being said, in JP manual, he IS said to be a mature and a rather moody figure, his age is also omitted. Makes me think that the whole point of Charmy's design is to be decieving, a small child-like figure bearing a strong mature character if you will.
On a side note i actually adore the idea of Charmy just being smooth in social situations, really drives his name home lol.
I think the difference between him breezing through levels, feeling like a baby-mode, and then struggling horribly to hit the easiest bosses is pretty funny.
I do like flying around with him, however, I feel like his moveset is a bit too simple, he doesn't feel as fun to go fast with compared to the rest

Oh hey it's me! I got the "homing attack" bit from his "Choose Player" readup. It says the stinger dash has homing capabilities at close range. I'll provide an example on the Discord!

I would like an exact explanation on this because I've read the "Choose Player" description and I don't see any mentions of homing capabilities, only existance of that is found on Battle Mod but that's not part of his main vanilla kit so I'm kinda confused on where you got this info from. Plus since I am a dev as far as I know vanilla Charmy has never had any homing

I would describe the stinger as a slightly delayed thok. It launches you at a high speed at something as slightly charging in the air. It is about as difficult as getting used to the thok.
Amy's hammer mentioned again, it less about git gud and removing your muscles memory of just jumping at the enemy point blank from underneath. Her style of attack is more so coming in from far way using her big jump and bouncing the boss to be safe.

WRONGG!!!!!!!!!!! Charmy is an hyper-active kid who's able to bring new perspectives to the chaotix's cases and is a fairly smart and loyal person for a 6 year old.
And he ain't even my favorite guy, that tittle goes out to espio lol

For me, Charmy feels so uncontrolable. Probably my least favorite chaotix member
he doesn’t feel uncontrollable, his move set is really cool but for me boring to play
Chargeing your weird flight thing for long enough,will make you go a bit higher,but you WILL lose a TON of your speed
