I bought this knife, and I really like it. The knife you get for the price is very good. I wanted to look up on UTube; to see if anyone left a review, and who left a review on this solid knife. Kind of interesting to see who would leave a review on a knife like this, and thank you for taking the time to review this fine knife. It’s a beautiful knife, and very effective, and practical knife. I never get the chance to go camping, hunting, or anything. So it was nice to watch a video , where someone puts this knife to the test, Thank You. I found this knife on Amazon, I had never heard of a Holtzman knife. I ordered a Holtzman survival knife in tactical black, cause I really liked the red handle, just beautiful. Then I was watching the demonstration video, and they used the Grauer, with the nice curved blade. So I also ordered the Grauer, to go with the red handled, and straight black tactical bladed gorilla knife. I’m so happy to own these two knives by Holtzman.
we have several d2 steel knives . love them . that is a beast of a knife and beautifull scales on the handle . would love to see the rope cutting torture test with the chopper . just to see how many cuts till need sharpening .
I know this is off the wall but how about cutting thru barb wire, small nail and etc. All things you may come across on your homestead. See how how the edge holds up to it.
@@HalfPaceOutdoors i know you will torture the living crap out of that knife. Nate will definitely know its flaws when your done with your testing. See if it will cut one of those tires you found(if you still have any that is).
The 1095 version is a different knife. It's blade design is different. That being said, I have friends who have the 1095 version and it seems to be a stout knife. I prefer the d2 because I usually dealing with wet conditions or environments. It still rusts but not as quickly.

Holtman Gorilla has some awesome Gear
Thank you Mr. Holzmans.. love my neck nife👍
A really nice review on that knife and the price is not that bad. Reminds me of my Puma White Hunter.
Hi Zak! That’s a KOOL Knife!
Hi GBL! It's a heck of a tool that's for certain!

I'm a big fan of D2 and other stainless knives. Less corrosion in the wet environment on the trapline. That's a great idea for the test!
Just got this knife, it is indeed beastly 😏
Thanks for the info
Nice

Hey that's the kind of stuff we are looking for so those are great ideas!

Great review! Both knives are nice and hefty.
I have really liked the Silverback since I got it. I'm looking forward to seeing what this new one will do!
its beautiful knife but for 150 bucks i could get one hand forged from a buddy with 60 bucks left to spare! i do love the sheath though.
It's expensive for sure. Time and testing will tell if it's worth that kind of cost.
He also makes this knife in 1095. Do/would you prefer the 1095 version or do you like this in d2?

Cinder block chop em .frozen meat .
I like the cinder block idea! We have plenty at the new place to give that a shot for sure!
@@HalfPaceOutdoors Just what situation are you in to have to chop through a cinder block?
