Damn, nice work...truly impressive guys, and you're absolutely right...it DOES rip. With more and more of these big displacement rigs being built, how do you differentiate between go kart, dune buggy, and sand rail? because if I was asked to describe that machine i'd say it was closer to an offroad buggy than a go kart...but thats just me.lol
Thank you for the compliments! We refer to it as a mini buggy or mini dune buggy! It’s about the same dimensions as a Polaris RS1 which even though it’s a single seater it’s still considered a SxS.
MATE! Love this! Saw your build on facebook and need one of these... we have a bunch of karts and stuff, but I have a real hankering for something like this! What frame was it? Custom?
Thank you kindly! I appreciate it! It’s an AR51 built from plans. I would link you to the site I bought them from but it appears to be down at the moment.
Super nice bro!!!
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Looking good! We even got to see a good view of the underside. It really makes me want to finish the two AR51 buggys we started on.
Please do! I’d love to get a group of AR51s together someday. It’s truly a well designed machine.
That thing is a straight weapon! And awesome editing skills too!
Thank you! My son does all the high quality editing and cinematography.
Looking good John!
Thank you!
@@garagebuiltoffroad9432 , ouch what flipped out of the buggy at the end the differential???
@@jeffwilkins3052 there was no damage to either me or the buggy.
That was an old rotten tree stump that I believe the right rear wheel kicked out.
@@garagebuiltoffroad9432 , that's good!!! 😁
It's 11-30-20, at 1546; and I just finally received a notice. 👍🏼😉
@@jeffwilkins3052 gotta love technology! 😂

We’re planning a video in the near future of the build process so make sure you subscribe.
I did! Looking forward to seeing the build process. Looks like I need to get myself a welder and get cracking!
Roll cage certification... check.
Just a little light testing. 😜
He made a big mistake while rolling over he stock his arm up looked to be inches from getting his shit broke
My arm never left the car but it was a mistake to put my arm out like that and could have ended very badly. I wear my wrist restraints now.
I have been trying to purchase an ar51 buggy plan for two months now and the site has been shut down ever since: sigh. any suggestions?
Yes that is quite unfortunate, I will send him an email and see if he is still selling them and let you know.
Hi from scotland can you help me with plans for this buggy at my cost.
You can email him to purchase plans.
