She has so much feats for her screentime, She was done brilliantly in war arc especially,
she had unimaginable feats like sealing a half Jinchuriki, controlling tentails and misdirecting tailed beast bomb, connecting the entire alliance for communication.. she also went through so much like losing her sensei twice and losing her father in war but still remained strong.

All Ino knows how to do is hustle. My girl been working in that flower shop since she was a kid. Ino is a real one. She literally defended Sakura from bullies, and hyped Sakura up. And Sakura wanted to end their friendship over a boy... Bruh.
Sakura's obsession with Sasuke was never 100% revealed why.

In the chunin exams in their fight Sakura says that the actual reason that she broke her friendship with ino was cause she was fed up of being under inos shadow and always beings second best to her her bringing in Sasuke in their rivalry was just an excuse her real reason to end their friendship cause she was jealous of how much ino was better then her and her advantages doe I do admit their rivalry was dumb they were just kids back then in boruto Sakura regrets doing that and now their best friends

as someone who has loved ino for so long, it makes me happy to see all these comments praising her! she’s truly underrated / underspoken abt in this community. i feel like a lot of people tend to associate her w her part 1 self bc i guess first impressions stick. but u gotta be fair, she was a 12 year old girl going through a crush phase? even then, she was still pretty awesome in part 1 for being a good friend to sakura and a useful teammate to shikamaru & choji. her filler moments were great as well. war arc ino is my absolute favorite!!!! she’s always been my favorite girl from naruto. an amazing, useful, supportive, beautiful support character. she has it all. im so glad she got the happy ending she rightfully deserves. i could gush about her forever
Ino represents everything most people who like Naruto are not. Confident, beautiful, fashionable, capable, strong willed and strong minded, bossy, loyal, sensible and responsible. That’s why they gravitate to more pathetic characters like Sakura and Hinata who don’t have much going for them character wise. It’s not a slam to the fans of Sakura and Hinata that’s just what it is that’s why authors make “outcast” or “underdog” characters as their main characters. Ino is neither.
Her crush with Sasuke was not obsessive like Sakura it was a simple childhood crush so I don’t get why people would even dislike her for that. I feel her crush on Sasuke was normal. She didn’t obsess over him. She just liked him and so she flirted with him. She didn’t let it stop her from progressing like Sakura and she has other motivations outside trying to get Sasuke’s affection unlike Sakura…
Ino was never really serious when fighting Sakura, she was most likely teasing bc at the end of the day she was always there for Sakura.
Makes me so mad. I personally think Ino has always been loyal to Sakura. She went super easy on her. And Sakura was the one to end the friendship when she found out about Ino’s crush. Ino has always gotten Sakuras back regardless of how she’s fighting with Sakura. She notices sakuras mood immediately even if she’s teasing her or they’re fighting. She’s very patient with Sakura, even as a kid.

I remember when I first saw team 10, I thought it was gonna be a team where Ino is the bossy one, Shikamaru and Choji we’re gonna be some random people.
But after the chunin exams, I thought differently of them.
I thought ino will be main character from team 10.
They even Introduced team 10 as team ino.
She was a bossy one tho coz she didnt get to be with sasu 🤣🤣🤣
But then shika became the leader and the two followed and yea they're actually equal tbh.
Ino won the fight against Sakura in the chunin exams and you can’t tell me otherwise. Sakura’s “two souls” is plot armor at its finest. Not to mention Sakura rode the coattails of Naruto and Sasuke in the preliminary exams whereas Ino had to pull her own weight alongside Shikamaru and Choji, thus by the time their match came around she was more exhausted than Sakura was. Not to mention Sakura has nothing but basic ninjutsu, no clan jutsu or unique abilities. Sakura. Lost. That. Fight. Also Ino won the long run battle; Sakura threw away a whole friendship over a dude and stayed obsessed with him despite him trying to kill her several times, Ino got over Sasuke a while after his defection, she actually had a personality outside of “SaSuKe-kUn~~” Ino had better potential than Sakura in every possible way, it’s tragic she was the side character and not Sakura who would’ve fit side character vibes pretty nicely. It may sound harsh towards Sakura, I did use to like her or at least tolerate her, but after she ultimately did end up with Sasuke despite all he’s done, I lost any respect for her that I had.
Sakura's the equivalent of those girls irl who fantasize over serial killers/criminals just cuz they're cute. I started liking her a little after the sasori fight but yea marrying Sasuke ruined it for me
Not to mention Sakura constantly seeing Ino as a threat she “refuses to lose to”.

This is what I have been saying ever since. Sakura's "inner Sakura" is the biggest plot armor on that chapter. It's insulting because Ino have trained on her jutsu all her life just to be taken over by an inner Sakura? Like make it make sense.

Plus she is the leader of the barrier team in the leaf. When delta invaded the village ino noticed and notified naruto in an instant with telepathy and then organized an evacuation if the whole leaf with her telepathy with no machincal help. Plus she saved the everyone in the war arc combining her mind transfer with hinatas byakugan to possess the ten tails from a long distance and divert its nuke
Ino and Sai were an unlikely couple but was sweet to see how Ino found someone she truly loved and Sai had changed.
I think it seems like the most likely couple.
People say ino is so weak like yeah she’s not the strongest but think about it losing your best friend losing your crush losing your sensei knowing the fact there not much you can do losing your father nearly losing your friend training your son having your husband be so busy having a very hard technique that takes up so much energy and to top it all off working hard in a flower shop she is still strong everyone always underestimates the girls in anime when they could beat our asses and there not even real

I remember I first got into naruto by the games on the ps2 my brother owned and I (being a 6 year old girl) only chose ino because I thought she was pretty. He’d tell me that she was useless and just pretty which would always piss me off lol and make me fight him playing as Itachi even harder. It wasn’t until years later that I saw the series that I realized how cool she is too.

Remember Ino was at the top of her class when she graduated the academy - Asuma called her a “standout kunoichi” and the guidebooks showed her grades were just as good as Sasuke’s! Tsunade also later referred to her as “one of the best and brightest we have in the village.” I wish we saw more of Ino - her personality, her unique jutsu, her looks - all A+!
Sometimes I wish Ino was there for Team 7 instead of Sakura. Like she accomplished so much despite such limited screen time. Imagine what she could do if she had an ounce of Sakura’s screentime. 😮

I think one thing that you might have missed was Ino and Sakura both going under Tsunade’s tutelage to become great medical ninja prior to the time skip. They both were tasked with reviving raw fish.

Plus she was up against the opponents from AKATSUKI who killed HER SENSEI, so her bravery is more than enough to prove her worth. If you want her feats, see war arc how much she does.

She was awesome before the skip too! She literally defended Sakura from bullies, and hyped Sakura up about herself. She’s was confident and caring, definitely the type of friend anyone would want. Even after Sakura literally ended their friendship over a boy, she still cared about Sakura and wanted to help her during the exams, and pulled her punch at the last minute because she didn’t want to hurt her. Her personality didn’t change, she was always compassionate and confident.

I always hate the part where Ino cries for Sasuke during the Kage arc. And that still in the war, I had feelings for sasuke seemed ridiculous and unrealistic. Also wish that the relationship between her and Sai had developed better to make their relationship more credible.
Outside of those moments I liked the character Ino ... I would have liked more time on the screen of her and the most important thing that Kishimito would have given her a better character development.

Both Sakura and Ino deserved better character development.
Actually, I feel that Ino would cry for any of her friends who were in that situation, more if you know that she is very affectionate by nature. However, her feelings towards Sasuke do not influence the character as much as Karin and Sakura, of the three girls who liked Sasuke, was the one who best overcame that infatuation. The love she feels for Asuma, Sakura, Shikamaru, and Chouji outweighs any feelings she feels for Sasuke.

Ino has some nasty moments. While Shikamaru in Tsukuyomi dreamed of a living Asuma, Ino dreamed of Sasuke and Sai fighting for her.

Or in the war, Sasuke appeared and Ino ran to him, Shikamaru and Choji had to literally hold her in place, and in Boruto it’s completely trash. She runs out to the outskirts of the village to say hello to Sasuke. Sarada literally drove her away.

In Naruto she was also part of the mission to help Naruto during the Fujin and Raijin outbreak. Ino also disguised a princess who looked like her so the princess would get married but she could show herself because she was having weight issues so Ino had to disguise as the princess until she could control her weight

Ino's ability is actually really good, I am surprised. Her personality and role does not seem to develop until Boruto, though. Pretty sucky to have her just focus on love and wait until marriage to show maturity.

It's interesting how she did but didn't move on from Sasuke. She settled for Sai, a 'safe' Sasuke who nevertheless treats his family decently. Still at least she did develop and become a competent Kunoichi before settling peacefully in the aftermath.

It's also rather surprising that Karin herself seems to have moved on somewhat from her Sasuke obsession. Yet again hers was insane, far from a temporary shallow crush.

Plus, Ino and Sasuke didn't have many interactions, quantitatively or qualitatively. Thus, she, aware of this, knew the chances of fully seguing into a full-fledged romantic relationship with him were very very scarce. I am surprised how my opinion of Ino has changed 180 degree now. I used to not care about her so much, since she was in the useless female category as sakura. Now i think she is the real courageous female.
