They go on sale via Amazon quite often as well. Worth keeping an eye on for sure! :)

More specifically, how do I get my daughter ready for any of these books? Letter identification and letter sounds first? She is 4.5 and knows most of her letters. Thanks

I would start exposing her to the phonetic alphabet. Or, alternatively, you could use these books and plan on tackling the sounds that are highlighted per book as you go through them.
We used Elemental Phonics level 1. I found this to be an affordable first step. I am posting a flip through of this very soon. The creator of this program posted this very helpful video - ruclips.net/video/CyNC-TzigyY/видео.htmlfeature=shared

I always heard great things about the Bob books and they do sound wonderful. I wonder if they have any for older or higher level children. My little one is six. Thank you so much for sharing this. 🙌☺️

Yes! They do progress into higher levels! I believe they have 12 levels total.

How do you know they are ready for a Bob book

The Bob books state - "When children are interested in spelling their name, or are able to hear individual sounds in a word, they are probably ready to start reading." For my child, I felt like he was ready after having a little knowledge under his belt. He knew his phonetic alphabet and the concept of blending sounds had clicked (this was an exciting aha moment for him!!). Once he got the concept of blending, we started these. It was good timing for him. Hope this helps!
