- Today I am installing the powerful 6 in 410 CFM Inline Duct Fan for my Xtool S1. This is a must have tool for any enclosed diode lasers. It really helps eliminates the smoke and fume , not only making your laser last longer but ultimately help you live longer. Laser smoke and fumes are really bad for your health so I could say this tool is essential #xtool #xtools1 #xtoolinlinefan

Something to keep in mind is, when you exhaust air out of a room or wherever you are, air must come into that area from somewhere. If your area is sealed up too tight your exhaust flow will be reduced. Good information!!! Really enjoy your videos.
We just got the xTool 6” in-line fan in and installed it per the manual. We ran a job last night and used it for the first time and we found out it was backwards! The flow arrows were backwards on the fan. Word of advice - always check the fan BEFORE installing it to verify the flow!
That’s funny! Yes. Always check
Thank you for sharing this in line fan for enclosed laser engravers. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy 😁 and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

Thanks, I am so close to ordering one, xmas purchased all new routers this yr seems like Bosch had some great tool deals this yr and compression bits and router accessories, and a dust extractor. I had to grin once you said all was well, but could of imagined your reaction as the vent pipe was going up with the garage door. Glad it didn't become an overhead laser and an important tip for the garage shops! Also, appreciate the info on needing a riser for 3/4" cutting and the inline duct fan as I create my budget for my next tool! You the best Skyler, you will get my clicks on links that for sure for the great help, hope you have a great week! Thanks, Skyler
Thank you so much for the info. Love your videos! Always super helpful. -Paul
Glad it was helpful!
Very good job Ms Skyler.
Thanks
If only I had an additional bay in my garage ...... When it comes to these lasers, everything is SO big.
What if i dont have an enclosuer on my D1 ? Shoukdni absolutely get an encloser first ornisnthere a way to make it work?
Do you get any leakage from the fan unit? I just installed mine and ran a job, smoke pouring out of it. It’s like the fan doesn’t seal in its holder with those two ring clamps.
It is a little late for me to change paths as I am building a moveable cart for my Longer Lazer, however for the sake of asking where did you find the metal cart for your Xtool Lazer?
Its the Rockler Rock steady stand
To get maximum air flow you should cut a 6” hole in the door. Otherwise good job. Thank you 😊
Thanks for the tip!
Please post a link to where you got the 6" to 4" adapter from the xtool fan to the 4" exhaust vent. That seemed to have a similar fit as the 3" to 6" provided with the fan. Thanks for the video!
I will add it in the description in next 5 minutes or so. I am just waiting for my computer to restart
I just added the link
@@woodworkingwithSkyler Thanks!
Where did you purchase those metal clamps that you put your hose back on with?
amazon
Where did you get the second 6 inch to 4 inch adapter?
I just added the link in the description
Hello!
Do you have to remove the stock fan?
No. Both fans stay on
I think she's secretly building a particle accelerator. The only thing that makes sense with all those lasers.
:)
X Tool's toy fan with their enclosure almost begs to be replaced. 4 inch is fine.
