  • This is a tribute to Jack Roche of Rockchapel, who with many others has done so much to promote Irish traditional music. In the video Jack talks of the building of Bruach Na Carraige in Rockchapel. He speaks of the young people there, the passing musicians, the many visitors and the ancient dances, songs and music. He explores the Irish music of long ago. Rockchapel, situated on the Cork/Kerry border is know for its Sliabh Luachra music -its dancing, repetoire of tunes, its slides and polkas. Jack talks of the developments there, its visitors, its young people, its special centre.... I am proud to have made this video about Jack.
