- I wanted to check out what the combined PAR levels of the Spider Farmer SF2000 Pro combined with the Glow 30 Supplemental Lights would be, as I am going to be using them at least part time in an upcoming grow. That grow has been pushed back a bit due to all the damage we sustained in the Studio after the last hurricane ripped the roof off, but I was able to get these results before that happened so here is that video =)

Will do, hopefully the video is able to help folks out =)
Thank you for doing something like this, I have been using a patchwork of lights to grow, and it can be hard to figure out if they are getting better results or now, and stuff like this can help to make more informed decisions =)
What kind of lights are you using in your patchwork setup? We have done a couple of videos like this, just not a ton.
Very cool🎉
Thank you, and thanks for taking the time to watch the video!

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video!
Have you ever had an issue where the light being too close actually fried the flowers like you are talking about could happen?
Oh yeah, we have had a couple of grows where at least some of the flowers ended up getting crisped by the light. It really only happens when the entire environment is too hot though.
Why didn't you do the other height measurements that you usually done in the past? At 30 inches, 36 inches or 48 inches?
Once the height got to the 24 inch mark, it was obvious that all I was going to see was reduced PAR levels across the canopy, and I dont think that anyone is going to want PAR levels than what we saw at 24". If there ends up being more interest, we can look into this again and re-test all of the PAR levels at every height.
I am curious what kind of light levels you could get from just the Glow 30, is there a way that you could use them to grow seedlings, like maybe under a rack or something?
I may look into something like this, just to see what the light levels are. It would be easiest to do with something like one of those wire shelving units, and that is how we actually started growing our seedlings years ago. We were using a rope light though instead of something like the Glow 30, and while it worked ok something like this would definitely be better.
They seem more than bright enough to me. I would think I could do an entire veggie with it if I had to. They are very bright for what they are.
Did you move the Grow 30 up with the light, or did you leave it at the same height for all of the measurements?
We moved it up with the light for this testing, though in a real grow I would have it positioned right below the canopy so that I would be getting the max benefit to the leaves and flowers that tend to get shaded out by the canopy.
