Anyone else brought to tears by just seeing some human beings finding joy in the moment and forgetting how divided the world seems right now? May you all have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a blessed Christmas, a wondrous Eid and whatever else you might celebrate, may it bring you a grand 2020.
That's exactly how I feel! I keep coming back here on December 23-24 in every year.
There should be more Flash Mob's around the world
No im just here because my teacher showed me this.
omg I'm still wiping tears, they're running like a faucet! We as human beings long for a society in all cultures yearn for the kindness of humanity and when you can see it and feel it like in this video it almost feels like you're filled with the holy spirit!!!
Thank you. And same to you!
Why did this make me cry? Just hits different in 2021.
What is the name to the movie this song is from???
@@judekaranja8269 The Sound of Music!
It makes me cry with joy every time. Greetings to you too from 2021.
Because everyone hates each other in 2021. White, black, asian, gender, we're more divided than ever. So it's nice to look back to better times when people knew how to have fun.
Agreed. We desperately need some happy.
The world as it should be. No hate, no disagreements, no war, only joy and happiness for all humanity. It can be this way world wide if we all try.
And don't forget to get rid of religion & divided politics... That would help as well.
Still my favourite flash mob , 14 years later, I still wonder how they managed to choreograph this number with so many people, so perfectly
Still my fav as well! Always joyful!

this isn't something new, they've been doing this for a long time now.
Same❤️🩹
2023
It's been a long 11 years, and I still remember this when I hear about 'flash mobs'
@AniUser: Me too! It's worth anyone missing their train for!
Same!
Its beautiful!!!
Fantastic ❤️
Was the first ever flash mob I watch and will always be my favorite❤
September 2020, I am crying while watching this. Will humanity ever again be carefree like this, singing and dancing together, close to one another, without fear of the person next to us? I feel like a piece of me is missing, an important part of life is missing, for everybody.
I find this video very uplifting and if we all try we can make the world a better place for us all there's always hope, para
You aren't the only one with a tear in their eye after this. We will get through this
Hang in there. This is the world we are coming into, finally. After thousands of years of control we are on the verge of humanity becoming "human"!
I'm crying too. This is so hard. I can't wait to dance with other humans again.
I always cry watching this too
Probably one of the best flashmobs I've ever seen!!! ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏
This is astounding ... I can't even get 3 people to go out for drinks ...
Tell the 3 people your buying
bad time to tell you I can't make it this weekend Steven.
August 2020, and still the best and most touching flash mob I've ever seen.
Are we ever going to get thru this as I type with tears in my eyes?
Hey 2020 friends
Yeah I wonder why it is so touching? I just remembered this flashmob today because I was thinking of happier times. This flashmob and stuff like the pranks from Improv Everywhere, I think we could really need them again.
Wow what are the odds we are all here watching this together? Just some musical fans all reminiscing of times we wish we could enjoy.
I have watched this clip since 2015, still like to watch in 2020
I've watched this one over 100 times.
Whenever I watch it, I cry.
I dare to say, this is the most incredible flashmob I've ever seen.
It never gets old 😥😂
I agree! love from Canada in these dark times (2019 Aug.)
I agree..I'm obsessed too..I've seen a lot of Mobs on YT, but the ones I like best are those composed of eclectic dancers with no obvious dancing skills or training..Like this one..
True words
@Paula Cherry bñ8
I've seen this so many times over the years! And here I am 13 years later watching it with a tear in my eye. So good!
Me too,tears flowing
Still the best flashmob of them all@@kumsr276
Every once in a while I come here to watch this! 🙌 please tell me I’m not the only one..
I’ve been coming back to this video for five years. Glad to see someone from 2021. We’ll get through this.
I use it as a pick-me-up as well. ❤🎉
In case Julie Andrews ever thought the world will ever forget her in the Sound of Music, she must watch this!...the Absolutely Best Movie EVER! Thank you Julie👍👍
I've actually just finished watching sound of music....And yes,it bought me here ..again.
@@paulbradnick786 it wS the end of an era...they just don't make movies like this anymore ⚘
For myself, second only to Mary Poppins (the Julie Andrews version, of course)
Everybody standing around watching, is smiling. At one point, where the children are coming down the stairs, one lady just breaks out in the biggest smile! You can almost see the tears coming to her eyes.
I think that if this was done everyday around the world, in a place that just seems sad, it would be a reminder of fun, laughter & life! No words can express the joy that can bring to the human spirit.
This was beautifully done!
Jesus . 1 word :)

My son's name is Matthew. He was born on July 7th. My husband and I asked for him for eight years. It happened when the Lord was ready. Look up Matthew 7:7. Validation right there. God is good!
Loretta Banks amen ! And I’m so happy for you :)) May God continue to bless you with the desires of your heart ❤️
Loretta Banks and wow , that’s crazy , we’re you always planning on naming him Matthew ? Born on 7-7 , for Matthew 7:7 , God is amazing . Reminds me of my pastor . He died 3 times from cardiac arrest . We prayed all across the nation . Taking authority over death , telling God that we still wanted him here . His wife , while praying about it , got a message from the lord , “I am the resurrection, and the life” , and on November 25th , which is John 11-25 , “ I am the resurrection and the life” . Their names are glen and Deborah berteau if your interested. They are amazing pastors , and they’re on insta & face book :)
I need you to tell me which one you’re talking about, cause I want to smile at her reaction.
And I can't get enough of seeing it again and it's 2024 ❤
December 24 2023, I still remember seeing this gif RUclips and go viral 14(?ish) years ago and it’s still absolutely beautiful. I miss this time in history; flashmobs, smiles, togetherness, no phones all over and people checked out of everything unless it’s “for the views”.
I want to go back.
We should do this evreyday all around the world. People would be happier and have less stress.
Tacitus
*Boss:* Why are you late?
*Person:* Because we had a flash mob.
😂
Agreed !
Just do it. 😀
I adore this. Loved all the other people dancing along and clapping to the song. And the remix in the middle is brilliant
I love this,my faithful in hoomanbean is restored
I LOVE THIS! I JUST WATCHED PERFECTION! ONE OF THE MOST BELOVED MOVIES ON THE PLANET! WTG!
@April Sandoval smiles never hurt anyone.
@April Sandoval nothing bad, that's for sure. It just brings special memories for me.
And that equals smiles.
And smiles are good.
lol we have the same name
I was 7 years old then...now @ 68...still watching The Sound of Music till now...thanks to the up loader 🎄⛄🎄💕❤️
Still loving this 12 yrs later! The best part has got to be at 2:40 where the guy just drops his briefcase and joins in!
Yes! The best ones are always those you would least expect to be part of the mob. Someone looking so serious or even bored... then joins in.
@Ashley P. brilliant.!!
I'm amazed how the guy at 2:40 immediately knows the flash mob dance moves.
That’s my favorite part he could be my SIL’s twin ❤
It would be great if we all could get along like that wonderful production and live peacefully.
Nobody likes you Ralph, not even Lisa
Yes, i was thinking the same thing...it speaks to me of the potential of mankind to be so united.
Yes, it would, Unfortunately, there are people out there who just don't want to get along.
Yes, I think that too, every time I watch it....
We'll get there.
This should be the international way to protest.
Totally agree. Wouldn't it be wonderful?
YEEEEES! THAT WOULD BE MORE PEACEFUL AND RECOGNISABLE! NO FIGHTS AND IT WOULD BE MEMORABLE! To get the governments attention, just keep doing this every day until they take action. They can’t harm the dancers cause they’re not doing anything illegal, so the government would have to notice the protesters/dancers!
Muze Ack this is actual genius.
Did you ever realize how timeless your comment from two years ago was/is?
They’ve actually done flash mobs in Australia last week when protesting!
Still the greatest flashmob ever produced and one of the first.
They made Grease too
WOW, it’s amazing how the sound resonates throughout that place! There’s so much echo, it sounds glorious. Julie’s voice is beautiful. Their choreography was amazing!
It is one of the most beautiful trainstations
If I was there,I would have joined in for sure. Brilliant!
@@maggiemalone3540ME TOO!!!
More Flashmobs in public places , it brings a smile to the public's faces and a warm feeling in their Heart . Which they'll transfer to people at work or home .
This never ever gets old. Watch it often for years. So fun still, after all these years. Perfect for enlightenment!
I have joined the club. I do the same. Often I come here to watch them perform at Antwerp station. 😀
Same here😁
Huge childhood memories ❤❤❤
I watch this every night LOL Crazy as it sounds makes me feel good about everything. Kevin
I’m literally crying at how beautiful this is....And I cried the last 20 times I watched this… This is so beautiful and heartwarming
They made Grease too
Me too....every time!
ME Too! This was so awesome!
That's the POWER of music and dance ! It unites people, and it brings emotion, which can even move you into tears. This is the best one ever !
Still the best flash mob, 11 years on. Thank you Antwerp!
I needed to watch this after hearing that Christopher Plummer past away today.
2022 : Still one of the best flashmobs ever. I only wished RUclips wouldn't deteriorate the video quality to that extent... 😪
Sorry.I do not know this song but it is splendid and voice too!We can see 2 Marypoppins ..!!
The video was done 13 years ago. Technology was not as sharp as it is today.
Who ever choreographed this, did an absolutely amazing job!
Whenever I feel sad, I watch this over and over again, and that's make me feel better
Same!
Hope you feel better now and forever.
May I share something with you Nadia?
I think I can show you hope,..next time you feel "sad".
If you ever get a moment, please come to my channel and let me show you something special.
Your going to love my featured video and for what its worth..none of it is faked.
After this mess is over we will need flash mobs again. Thank goodness this was a time before everyone had a cell phone in their hands.
I don't dance, but I would totally join one just to celebrate an end to the madness.
i agree!
@@hollyw9177 I bet you do, when nobody’s watching! We all do.
@@davidgalloway8825 no, actually I don't lol. I tried once and it just felt super weird and awkward so no dancing. I do sing though when I'm alone. Loud and badly lol

June 2023 and still loving this. Rogers and Hammerstein produced this musical. I was a kid when this came out and fell in love with Julie Andrews. Great musical of all time.
Beautiful! I am watching from U.S. in 2022 when the world is witnessing a heartbreaking war in Europe. I wish there was more of this kind of unrestrained joy in the world. Thanks for posting at a time when we need a spirit lifter.
Ac i adore your comment , ,,its so lovely to see the Vonn Trap family having fun xx i wish i were with these fab people ,, long live dance xxJane x

OMG i kow this video a class mate of mine in my dance class said she was apart of this
*3 years later... is it still your favorite?*

Whats the other two? =)
fun fact: it's a promotion to find a lead role in the musical The Sound of Music
Well, erm it does explain that in the description to the video.

I've been watching this for years now and it still gives me goosebumps to this day...I absolutely love, love, love this flashmob dance and is the best I've ever seen!
How can 1000 people not like this, it should make anyone smile especially since it's everyone working together with a classic. Boo on you thumb downers.
They are communists. That's why.
I'm a communist and I LOVE this for years. I think they maybe Nazis, you know, considering the film's plot...
李书珂
That's a contradiction. This is an example of what we call here in America "Freedom of speech and freedom of assembly", which is against Communist beliefs and practices, comrade.
You have no idea what communism is don't you.
童茵茹
Communism is the lost of everything after it is handed over to the state. You can't even eat dinner without letting the government authorities know what you're having.
The most wonderful thing I find about this videos is you have children adults I want look like senior citizens all dancing together.
You can't tell me that even one person watching wasn't gladdened in their hearts!
I used to watch A Sound of Music back when I was a child. This video not only brings back good memories but also a smile to my face
I'm watching this for the first time today, October 1st 2019 It happens to be my Dad's Birthday wish he was still here, if he were he would be 102. Love the sound of music. Saw the movie when it first came out. I never get tired of it. The music is just wounderful. ♡♡
Convinced so many more people found happiness that day. Let's hope they continued their journeys embracing the same memories and emotions.
Events like this prompt the human spirit, our humanity, the arts. They let us sing. Pray they come back this year.
It's now 2023 and I love this today as much as I did when it was first out. Fantastic! I especially enjoyed the older black lady who really got into dancing on the outskirts. So much joy I saw on the faces of the people watching much less the dancers themselves. Still terrific today!!!!
To each and everyone of the dancers who took part in this video you all should get a medal for cheering the world up and putting a smile on People's faces i salute everyone of you absolutely uplifting we can all make the world a better place for us all thank you all you wonderful people tremendous video, para
Don't know why I'm drawn to watch this video regularly. There's just something so beautiful and compelling about it.
Still the best flash mob I've ever seen. Wish the image quality was better though.
I watch the Sound of Music at least twice a year. This was magical!
This made me tear up.
Why the heck did it make me tear up?! Come on me!! they are just happy and enjoying theirselves together, WHAT IS THE EMOTIONAL PART OF THAT??
For me, it's bittersweet to hear it again. We've drifted so far from this feeling.
A most magical thing about this is its mostly pre-mobile phone era, people are actually watching and experiencing it, not filming it.
This will never grow old!
The greates songs, movie. Thank goodness I grew up during those times. Still classics for over 50 years.
This is what the world needs more of, more flash mobs and less lynch mobs! Our world is too filled with hate and indifference. I wish we could put love and joy back in our daily lives. As John Lennon once sang, imagine its not so hard to do!
Still as refreshing in November, 2019 ♥️💜💙💚🧡🧡💖

Greetings to you all, here I am watching it from South Africa 🇿🇦 November 2020. I just love watching all kinds of Flash Mob videos 💃😃👍
Bravo, beautiful. The look on the faces of the watching crowd, amazed, happy, appreciative, joyful. The world needs more of this. Not looting, not violent rioting.
You must continue, look at all the happy faces you are creating! No stopping now, we need to smile more and thank you very much.
Years laters still gets me how good this was. Everything was done so perfectly.
WHY do I watch this so often? WHY do I always cry when I watch it?
Because it is so darn adorable - people having fun, the surprise of running into to something this. It is so incredible to see the joy on the faces of the dancers and the audience watching this unfold.
Because it brings as happiness and brings out the child we all have inside.
ulla josephson strangers from all walks of life spontaniously coming together in the spirit of love and joy. You'd be weird if you didn't tear up.
You want to live in a world of happiness and joy.
OMG. I know this I'm replying to an old comment, but I was just re-watching this today and I was crying too. Like I do EVERY TIME I watch it. Even though it makes me really happy.
I just love how this dance and singalong happened in a terminal one day !!! They all got together, and danced and sang their hearts out !! Very wonderful !!! Linda xx's

Best flash mob ever! Everyone's immensely enjoying themselves, and I love at the end where they disappear into the crowd as quietly as they came in and all goes back to normal as if nothing had happened.
Oh my ! This took me 50 years ago when I was in my school choir . Those old good days ... I fee so happy we used to sing and sing and sing
These flash dancers are so amazing, and I don't even mean just this one group alone! The talent and the timing and everything...
Fantastic! Great performance you guys! The kids were just great and so were the audience! I hope that when the pandemic is over and people all over the world have healed from all the pain and heartaches, we'll have more performances like this. God bless you everyone! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Joy is a wonderful emotion. Videos like THIS flash mob make joy so overwhelming it streams from the eyes. We NEED more of this and less of opinions that divide us.
Thank You to all who participated to make this an unexpected gem of pure JOY!
Aah. The good old days where you would just experience it, with no phones or cameras. Just enjoy moments like this.
I haven't thought of this in YEARS. Then I watched and the kind of nostalgia that makes you cry. I didn't cry when I first saw it and I remember not crying. But right now I'm ugly crying. I think it has more to do with the fact that it's beautiful to watch people come together even though we live in such divisive times to see a slice of time where the only thing everyone there experienced together was wonder.
Best way to describe the feeling is it feels like you're getting a hug from a family member you thought you never see again. True people with depression or anxiety it's just joy. In the purest form.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
Why did this make me cry? I just get so happy every time the flash mob grows bigger! Especially when they’re playing instruments
Love this. I miss Belgium so much. Best time of my life!
God Bless Dame Julie Andrews a Legend!
Well if this isn't a fine tribute to a singer, a lyricist and a composer, I don't know what is! To die knowing your humble contribution to music, has given not ten or a hundred or a thousand people pleasure but millions. Its got to put one heck of a smile on Julie's face as well as all those child actors now grown. As for Hammerstein and Rogers, wherever they are, they ought to be equally proud. What more can music expect to accomplish?
All I can say is ... WOW!!!! What a fabulous ad hoc performance and only 2 rehearsals - amazing - THANK YOU!
mixed emotions….smiling while crying….I love the Sound of Music….….bravo to all the performers🎉👍🏼🎵💕😍
This is the first I've seen where closeups of the crowd reveal unbridled delight and surprise. Fantastic footage.
