Grace M. Aguilar (1881-1964) was an Australian New Thought leader, publisher, editor and author. She learned New Thought from Dr James Porter Mills and his wife Anna W. Mills and is said to have been the first person to introduce Unity literature into Australia. On September 28, 1949, some 18 years after their first meeting, Aguilar married her long-time friend and associate, dental technician Hector George Paul (1902-2002). She remained married to him until her death on May 22, 1964. He succeeded her as leader of New Thought Centres, (E) Australia. In addition to Thoughts by Many Authors, Grace Aguilar’s publications include New Thoughts: or Light in Our Darkness (1917), the play Woman's Power (1917), Who is Our Fairy Godmother? A Story for Young and Old (1932), The Great Untouched Future (1938). For many decades she published and edited an Australian New Thought journal known as The Affirmer. Dr Ian Ellis-Jones (born 1955) is an Australian academic, lawyer and published author. He has also worked for many years as a minister and teacher of New Thought, mindfulness and meditation. He is a member of the International New Thought Alliance (INTA) and the Theosophical Society of Australia and has been president of a Unity centre in Sydney. His most recent book is Making Australia Positive (2023), which is both a history of New Thought in Australia and a dual biography of two great Australian New Thought leaders of yesteryear, namely, Grace M. Aguilar and Veni Cooper-Mathieson.

Glad you enjoyed it. I know the husband of Grace M. Aguilar quite well. She and her husband were very important New Thought leaders in Australia where I live. Keep well, friend.
