I really dont think The State got the recognition and credit it deserved as an album there are some great tracks on that album this being one of them!!
+Caleb Bartlett Actually, The State did pretty well. "The album was the band's first album to be certified Gold in both Canada and in the United States, it later went Platinum in Canada in April 2002 and then went Platinum in 2008 in the United States." That's only 4 years after it was first released in Canada & 10 years later in the US. It's just not, I guess, as celebrated as their later albums.
Never heard a live version before but was totally blown away by this... liked a few of their songs years ago but didn't know much about them apart from that. May have to go back and check out their early stuff again if it's on par with songs like this!
I learn this song in guitar an i played while i herad it and when the part of distortion happen i got so excited i almost broke the strings :P NICKELBACK ROCKS!
Yeah, the lyrics, at least to me, don't make any fuckin sense, but finding out this song is about trippin w/o luggage makes it all good. And yeah, they rocked this shit.and a few other songs they have as well.
Yeah, most of their stuff I couldn't care less about... but this is such a cool track. Almost has an Alice in Chains vibe to it... maybe that's why I l like it.
I don't care if you like NB or not. This is a great song. Very underrated.
I love them
I never really noticed man but Kroegers vocals are so controlled
I find this the best track of Nickelback.

Not even close 😂 it’s an ok song but far from their best work.. come on man.
I agree ❤

This is my favorite song of theirs and i had no idea it was about shrooms.
The guitar riffs are just killer!
I miss this song. Bring back the original Nickelback!!! Heavy rules!!!!
Not Just Heavy Rules!!!, It's called Original Nickelback of Post-grunge Rules!!!
That metal does sound like fifty mission cap by the tragically hip.
With a "Cowboy Hat"
Wish they played live like this all the time.

The State sold extremely well in Canada considering it was first released as an independent album that was picked up a year later by EMI Records.
@@SalandFindles In my opinion, The State is Nickelback's best album.

Only song I can handle from them, it's actually a decent tune
Yeah, most of their stuff I couldn't care less about... but this is such a cool track.

crazy how this band used to be palatable
This was the best..until they got all poppy...
Its about shrooms?
a little song about what? He said in the begning but I didn't understand.
About magic mushrooms :)
lol thanks for the answers
Cristiano Gizzi what could magic mushrooms mean?
SanjeevGeorgeV I think he's talking about drugs
+Jose Silva he was talking about adrug that natuarly occurs in mushrooms
I like nickelback with ryan videkal, the drummer better.
Yeah, good times
So pale by comparison to the recorded version, which is truly haunting
Theyre music sucks in general but i do agree this is a good song.
Could someone explain the cowboy hat in a rock band? Psh. It's no wonder..
It's a great track but sorry...they lost their man cards long ago
Those added screams are horrible - always.
