    Here is my soil mix.
    I use Bu's blend compost. Coast of main has an comparable compost but make sure you get the pure compost not the soil mix.
    I mix the Bu's compost/ Coast of main compost with peat moss and lava rock. 1 part of peat moss 1 part lava rock or Pumice Stone, and 1 part Bu's compost.
    Then add these amendments
    Here is what I use for amendments mixed into my peat, lava, compost blend.
    All amendments listed are per 1 cubic foot of soil or about 7.5 gallons.
    1 cup kelp meal
    1 cup alfalfa meal
    1/2 cup Neem meal
    1/2 cup Crab or Crustacean Meal
    1 + 1/2 cups Glacial Rock Dust
    1 cup of Gypsum
    1 cup Oyster Shell flour
    1/2 cup Azomite
    1/4 cup rock phosphate
    1 cup dolomite lime
    ↓(optional)↓
    2- 4 handfuls of worm castings
    2-4 cups bio char
    1 cup green sand
    1 cup prilled/ pelletized rock phosphate** ( hard to find)
    add 5-10% water let sit for 2 weeks or more to cook
    I top dress high N bat guano, high P seabird guano, and Langbeinite for K all as needed. Usually two tablespoons of each per 7 gallon pot on day 35 veg. Then 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of the seabird and Langbeinite for your bloom booster.

    • @RowsOfGreen
      @RowsOfGreen  2 года назад +1

      Sounds like a great mix. Yeah I have the pellet rock phosphate as well. 27% phosphorus and 5% immediately available. It’s good stuff. I would probably do about 3-4lbs of earthworm castings just to help with the microbiology but that’s just me.
      It looks like yours would make it the season water only as well.

    • @OrganicGreens
      @OrganicGreens 2 года назад +1

      @@RowsOfGreen I've grown up to 3 harvest with no extra re amending. I just top dress with the sea bird and bat guano and the Langbeinite depending on if I'm starting a new veg or going into bloom or if I see any deficiency's on hungry strains. I have gone water only but I do use a kelp , fish hydrolysate , silica fulvic acid blend foliar spray with yuca. I just do this to speed up growth and boost yield mostly. The quality imo comes from the soil the microbes and getting a good bloom boost out of you Langbeinite and sea bird guano. I use two microbial inoculants called Bio S I and Bio S I select. The Bio S I Select is for vegetative growth and has a higher fungal count. The Bio S I is used for bloom and has a higher bacterial count. I use these in place of compost tea and have had better results since then. I do use worm castings but on large batches of soil I cant use as much as I would like because they are so expensive. I figure I'm getting a pretty divers set of microbes from my two types of compost I use, the microbial inoculants, and the small amount of castings I do add. I plan to make my own in bulk once I get some time to do the research tho. Love the content man

    Gotta mix in some more Nitrogen heavy inputs into your compost bed if you want it to breakdown faster and be able to use it sooner. It’s the N inputs that drive thermophilic Composting.
    Look up the Berkley Composting method. You could have that soil broken down and usable again in as few as 18 days instead of 18 months with proper Hot Composting. ✌️

    • @RowsOfGreen
      @RowsOfGreen  2 года назад +2

      I do reuse it. I use it on my yard, vegetables and planters. I know what you mean though. I mix it with good stuff though. For cannabis.
      The reason is because soil testing is expensive around here and there is none. I like to know exactly what is left in my soil. I’m not into heavy metal build up and stuff that comes with it without testing. That said, if I ever get good close and cheap soil testing around here then I will do it.
      I’ve reused it before and didn’t get the results I usually get. Bud was more airy, not as strong, dense and always wondering if it’s getting enough or if I’m getting build up of toxins that I’ll put into someone’s body. I like clean weed with no guessing. I hope this answered your question.

      @Rows of Green your Sub Cool super soil is a great organic media for growing plants. It has been tried and true from people all over the world. When I first heard about Clackamas Coots soil recipe was on a utube cananbis podcast and he talked about living soil and vermacomost for over 2 hours. He totally changed my view on using chemical fertilizers to grow plants. First off the run off from chemical fertilizers flows into the water table , then rivers and ocean. Poising everything and the microbial world under ground. So I decided to go all organic with his minimalist amendments and give it a try. My plants loved it and just used water. As for subcool super soil it was meant more for small container pots and then after harvest making another batch of fresh soil. Coot is all about living soil and huge container growing like raised beds or anything above 25 gallons. Hoped this helped you out. Check out Coot on utube about vermacomost. Happy growing ✌️🌎
