    One of his BEST!🔥When I saw him live, Eminem dedicated 'Sing For The Moment' to David Smith - one of his young Irish fans who died the night before from cancer - Eminem had given him tickets for the show 💔 R.I.P. Em got choked up but got massive respect from the Irish crowd.👏
    'Oxegen Festival' 2010, in Ireland It was the first time I'd seen Em live - UNBELIEVABLE! I've seen him 3 times - Oxegen, Tenants Vital (NI) and also at Slane Castle Ireland. He is one of the best live artists I've seen - OUTSTANDING! Peace to all the 'Stans' - from Ireland 💚

    Ems way of describing things is what makes him great in my mind. He makes you understand his point view. you can picture the entire scenario as if you were the one thinking it even when its not relatable to you he makes it relatable. I have yet to find another rapper that does the same thing for me.

    Rock and rap shouldn't give you angry thoughts you never had, they should give you an avenue to vent and safely clear and work through the angry thoughts you had already.
    It's an acknowledgement and a release mechanism, especially in teenagers and young adults, who are being overwhelmed by new emotions and pressures and can't even process or understand them sometimes, without a musician sometimes nailing exactly how they were feeling.

      I know this was 2 years ago but random fun fact: Stephen Tyler and Joe Perry of aerosmith actually both rerecorded parts specifically for this version of the song -- it's not just sampled. They also performed it live together at the rock and roll hall of fame

    The lyrics in Sing for the Moment are so well written.
    It's one of those songs you play your parents, when you want to win them over that his songs are really smart, even if they're put off by some of the image and boisterousness.

    Em Is fasho The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever! The 3rd Verse is my favorite motivational verse/emotionally driven Em verse of All Time! You finally see why we support this man through thick & thin he’s inspirational and has been through alot👊🏽🐐✨💯(He's basically saying that whatever might be going on in your life, you can use music as a refuge.
    “That's why we sing for these kids, who don't have a thing / Except for a dream, and a fuckin' rap magazine”
    Adding to this he adresses those who criticize him for being a bad influence on kids and says that if his music means something to kids going through tough times, then it's all worth it.
    “Or for anyone who's ever been through shit in their lives / Till they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die / Till they throw on a rap record and they sit, and they vibe / We're nothin' to you but we're the fuckin' shit in they eyes”
    In Dream On by Aerosmith, Steven Tyler is essentially saying that you shouldn't give up on your dreams and that you should 'Seize the moment'. Another familiar theme explored by Eminem. You should 'Lose yourself in the moment' because you never know if you'll get another chance tomorrow.
    “Sing with me, sing for the years, sing for the laughter, sing for the tears, Sing it with me, just for today, maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away...”
    I think it's nice how he links the meaning of these two songs together.)

    Brilliant reaction Daniel!!! This is one of my all time favourite tracks - I remember when it was released, it blew me away - and still does 20 years later!!!
    And yeah, if you ever get to go to an Em show, it’s next level! I’ve seen him once when he came to Scotland years ago and it was epic! (Second only to a tøp gig!) He hardly tours now though (even before covid) and almost stopped touring completely when he was bringing up his 3 daughters and Nate.
    Not Afraid is another great track that’s very uplifting!
    Loving your Eminem journey!

  • @nrgmanifest
    @nrgmanifest 3 года назад +8

    Only 4 mins in and already loving your reaction/breakdown. Idk bout others but ima fam of longer reactions. To me it's the whole point of watching reactions...to get raw thoughts aloud as they come to mind not how some reactors do like hold their thoughts in or don't want to keep stopping. Please, stop, share your thoughts.... which YOU do and I appreciate that. The last thing I want to do is watch someone listen to a whole song all way thru then at the end say "Good song, thanks for the request, see you next time". AND YOU LISTEN! Idk how you catch as many bars as you do listening to it for the 1st time w/o lyrics in front of you but you be catching em....and not only do you catch them but you acknowledge em. Keep up the good work

    • @suffireax
      @suffireax  3 года назад +4

      I really appreciate that. It is extremely nice to hear someone appreciate the pauses and thoughts/comments, cause I totally agree with you, what is the point of a reaction video to just sit there and bob your head and then end the video.
      Thanks for the love!

    This is my favourite Marshall song of all time I fucking love it and like you find it so relatable. It comes after he settles a court case regarding him allegedly hitting a man called Guerra in the face with a handgun after he saw him kissing his ex wife Kim mathers. (Hence the line you’re full of shit too guerra, that was a fist that hit you) a lot of the media at the time portrayed Em as a bad role model who would encourage kids to use guns and become violent it’s kind of his response saying he can’t help it if kids relate to his lyrics and it’s about the music and the words and the feelings these records give them not necessarily that they all want to become gangsters. So many awesome lyrics in it and particularly that last verse is just utter perfection! I have been waiting for your reaction on this one! 💙

    The irony here is that the only bit 'banned' in my house was 'black music' when I was a child but then by the time I was a teenager oh that was fine cause my parents met actual black kids at school and that was okay cause "Oh they aren't all gang bangers" and now my sister lives with a black man who is literally right now over to watch TV with us and they seem to forget how they gave me shit for liking the rap music my friends did in the late 90s/early 00s. I am HAPPY about this don't get me wrong! But the selective memory is staggering. They have matching nose rings and tattoos and I was always told I could NEVER EVER get a facial piercing or tattoo and now they seem to forget instilling that on me. I'm glad they no longer feel that way but something that when I was growing up in the 90s was instilled in me constantly being something they 'don't remember' 20 years later. Hmmmmmm.
