I wish I would have seen your review before buying this. You are right on the money on all counts. I had a hum in mine which I thought was a loopback in the power. I bought a hum-x which helped but didn't entirely resolve the noise. I tried connecting through bluetooth which solved the noise issue, but the sound quality was seriously lacking pretty much all of the low end. Then I had a continual clipping problem which was driving me crazy and it was showing up after several minutes of use. When you mentioned the short power cable I about applauded out loud. I am not using mine in a situation where headphones would have been necessary, but I appreciate that you caught that. I think it could have promise and I hope they fix the issues and come out with a 2nd generation, but this one is going by the wayside for me. You sir have done a marvelous job with your review.
I just purchased this and the volume is definitely a disappointment. With my headphones on and the main slider on +10 the bluetooth incoming sound is not even reaching unity on the LEDs. Is this an indicator of a defective unit as well?
wish I would have seen this before buying this. I found the video because i searched for the headphones volume problem. Like you i have to turn the volume up all the way. But if I do that, then the speakers I have hooked up to it will also blow LOL ... My headphones are not super expensive they are just Philips and cost less than $75. As for the noise I hear it when everything is on but nothing is playing. Just a low hum. And Bonus for me NO USB CABLE ugh
Duse ... You are so rude. No money? Low budget?? So that"s why you HAVE O HAVE A CHEAP PAIR OF HEAD PHONES? Your terrible. Not every one can afford Fancy things. I bought it as a way to add more Mic's. Good Day Sir.
I don’t see how claiming to be on a tighter budget is being rude lol But to each their own I suppose. I also claimed multiple times that I used the device with a lower impedance headphone and it worked just fine so thats why I brought up the problem with my studio headphones in the first place.

Thanks for the review. I was planning on purchasing this for a podcast, but to me having the crispest audio is more important to me.
We're getting the same clipping/popping issues, did you ever figure it out?
