By allowing express trains to stop at Woodhaven Blvd, it’ll be easier to transfer between express and Queenslink local trains since the nearest express station isn’t too far away. Also, I suspect that the reason for converting Woodhaven Blvd instead of Rego Pk to an express station is because there’s much higher ridership at the former than the latter.
Yep as a retired motorman B-division RTO, I operated R32s and 38s on this stretch and by far best equipment next to R44s on ‘A’ line. With all traction motors operating I’ve reached speeds of 53-55mph on these sections of track.
I‘m also a retired B-Division train operator in the 90’s I operate R46 on the F- line it was the fun part of the Queens Blvd line and coming to Continental Forest Hill station almost 50 mph easy in the station
