    65th st is another spot for high speed action. Only the Manhattan bound E n F trains fly through there. Woodhaven is definitely the fastest station along that express run.

    Friendly reminder to wear ear protection when standing on platforms with express trains bypassing. Noise can be above 90DB which is extremely dangerous at long levels.

    • @tfp_4215
      @tfp_4215  Год назад +3

      Yeah I try not to fan for too long and do take breaks

    • @meli4157cozy
      @meli4157cozy Год назад

      @@tfp_4215 The limit for noise ranging from 90DB-100 ranges from 4 hours max over 7 days, or on the upper end just 24 minutes over 7 days. Alongside regular commuting, railfanning can seriously damage your hearing. You can buy an 100 pack of earplugs to wear on the subway, or just a regular pair of headphones or earbuds with nothing playing.

    Did you know that this local station has provisions at both ends for conversion to an express station?

    • @tfp_4215
      @tfp_4215  8 месяцев назад +2

      Oh yeah! It could be used for Queenslink.

    • @anonymous3738
      @anonymous3738 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@tfp_4215 Specifically, the line would begin as a split from the local tracks east of Rego Pk (which actually has a provision for such an extension). By allowing express trains to stop at Woodhaven Blvd, it’ll be easier to transfer between express and Queenslink local trains since the nearest express station isn’t too far away. Also, I suspect that the reason for converting Woodhaven Blvd instead of Rego Pk to an express station is because there’s much higher ridership at the former than the latter.
