On April 19, 2024 after an 11 month long project, the downtown platforms 82nd and 111th Street stations reopened. The stations were given new panels, led lights, platform, station signage and renovated staircases. The passengers that live around the station were amazed by newly renovated stations. Hopefully more stations get similar treatment. Recorded 4/22/24

@@WestchesterXBeeline What is it?
@@tfp_4215 do you have MTA bus timetables?
I recall a Train Operator who worked on this line at the time saying some of the 2- and 3 trains reached 60mph at the peak of their service. But, hey, GREAT footage in this pic NONETHELESS!

50th Street IRT 7th AVE line
Nice video!
Thanks man!
You are welcome!
That train is going about 47-48 mph for your information
Yeah them R142s definitely pushing 55 and I love videos like this where it’s just based on express trains only
Thanks! I know my subs likes these kinds of videos
The rocket of these r62s are wild
Here is, in my opinion, the fastest local stations on every express line, some will be a tie: 7 Ave: 59 St-Columbus Circle or Houston St, both like 50mph Lexington Ave: Astor Place-Cooper Union or 103 St, both like 47mph 8 Ave: 50 St 6 Ave: You can’t actually see the B/D express, though they go really fast Broadway: None! But I guess fastest would be 23 St. Central Park West: 103 St White Plains Rd: Freeman St Pelham: Morrison Ave-Soundview Concourse: Haven’t ridden express Flushing: 74 St-Broadway Queens Blvd: Woodhaven Blvd Jamaica: Again, not ridden express Eastern Pkwy: Can’t see the 4/5 express much, when you can they’re not very fast in my opinion Fourth Ave: 25 St, but haven’t ridden much Brighton: IDK, any of the points where the track is straight Fulton St: IDK, the A just goes like 44mph the whole way through. But Liberty Ave is pretty fast Yeah, that’s it! What do you think?
Id say this is pretty accurate. For Flushing though it would be 90th Street, Jamaica is Lorimer.
For Lexington avenue, The fastest you'll see an express train go is if you're riding a uptown express into 59 street, Going 48 mph into the station. Astor Place is still a fast bypassing station, as most trains whip around the curve at 42-46 mph For Jamaica, The Fastest local station is Lorimer Street, With Express trains going through the station at 50 MPH in the AM rush and 44 MPH in the PM Rush. For Brighton, The Fastest you'll see a express train is either near Avenue H/Newkirk Plaza or Kings Highway, Where trains break the 44 MPH mark before braking into the station For 7th Avenue, The Fastest Local station is actually 50th Street as Trains often go 47 MPH on the downtown side. 59 Street and Houston Street are fast stations as well, but it's not as fast as going 47 mph. Maybe in the 40-44 mph range For the Eastern Parkway Line, it seems that you forgot the section between Franklin and Crown Heights, where trains go 40-42 MPH on the exp.
Ok thanks! Also for 7 Ave the fastest n/b trains are at 66 St-Lincoln Center at 52mph and the fastest s/b are at 50 St at 55mph, even up to 58 in rare circumstances. 59 St is just the fastest overall, since 50 St is only like 40 n/b, same with 66 St-Lincoln Center s/b. Thanks tho for your insight on Lex, Brighton and Jamaica though! Agree with the rest of the list? What do you think is the fastest s/b on Lex? I’d say 103 St
But both n/b and s/b trains rocket past 59 st at 50mph as well
@@lightning77125 The only trains that tend to go 55+ Mph is the N/R/W Trains in the 60 street tube between Queensboro Plaza and 59 Street. My dad was a motorman so that's how I know these things so well. I agree with the rest of the list. Although for the Fulton Street Line, I'd say the fastest You'll see an A express train go is Near Nostrand as Trains on the Southbound Side can go 42-48 Mph into Nostrand (Not all of them since some trains slow down to about 30-25 MPH before entering) And for the Uptown trains, They usually go 42 MPH into the station. If you go to Franklin ave on the S.B. side you might see a Lefferts Blvd/Far Rockaway Bound A train picking up major speed while its bypassing and making it's way into Nostrand.
2x playback and its 100mph
50-55MPH!
Man I've been on some of those trains going 50 even 55. Fastest express in the whole system.
Yup
Cbtc is kicking in
This is what those 3 train operators be waiting for lmao
Lol fr
8:42 was definitely hauling like 50-52MPH
They do go the fastest through this station

@@tfp_4215 you should try the super express on the 7 line dude goes about 50-55MPH

Why I love the 7th Avenue/Broadway Line. I miss the redbird cars formerly used on the 2 train, though.
Do they still use this bus
They’re no longer operated by Liberty Lines. PTLA Enterprises runs them. If you go to Courtlandt Town Center, you’ll find them there.
The local and express tracks are no longer connected to each other.
Why and how
@@BronzeCool55673 The express tracks from Bergen St to Church Ave are double but is single from Ditmas Ave. Compared to how the tracks are connected today, the two express tracks had switched to connect to both local tracks. However, as part of the junction’s renovation, said connections were removed and trains are now required to use the interlockings south of Church Ave to switch from either to the other.
As of now, the local tracks continue consistently whereas the two express tracks merge into a single express track. Formerly, the two express tracks also connected to each local track. Now, trains must use the interlockings just south of Church Ave.

Those panels are temporary. The new panels are on the way. They should be working on it there soon. 0:39.
Good to know. Thanks!
Is route 129 local or express bus
I think it’s express
Did you know that this local station has provisions at both ends for conversion to an express station?
Oh yeah! It could be used for Queenslink.
@@tfp_4215 Specifically, the line would begin as a split from the local tracks east of Rego Pk (which actually has a provision for such an extension). By allowing express trains to stop at Woodhaven Blvd, it’ll be easier to transfer between express and Queenslink local trains since the nearest express station isn’t too far away. Also, I suspect that the reason for converting Woodhaven Blvd instead of Rego Pk to an express station is because there’s much higher ridership at the former than the latter.
The F subway 🚇 line at Roosevelt Avenue ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 7:56
