Yes lol. I thought the joke would be that there was no decisive move to find and the opponent didn’t make a mistake, Bobby was just playing a joke on the others to see if they would pretend to see this move.
What did Yasser say at the end? Right after @1:45 he says Burns was horrified about something Bobby did or thought. What did Bobby think? I couldn't make out the words.
There's a few things that you have to know to get the story I think. 1) "Patzer" is chess slang for a bad player 2) Back in the old days before computers, it was common to adjourn a chess game after 40 moves or so to be continued the next day. 3) Bobby Fischer was a chess genius who was head and shoulders above his American peers and pretty much only the Soviet players were a challenge for him. So during the 1966 chess Olympiad, Bobby Fischer invited his American teammates back to his hotel room to analyze his game after the adjournment. Then Bobby Fischer plays the move that his opponent made before adjournment and starts laughing (because it's a losing move). Robert Byrne (one of Bobby's teammates) and the other chess players don't see the move at first and then slowly one by one see why the move is bad and also start laughing. The punchline is that before Robert Byrne saw why the move was so bad, he was terrified that he wouldn't ever see it and that Bobby would think he's a patzer. To put it in even more context: In 1966, Fischer was 23 years old while Byrne was 38. I'm sure the pressure Byrne felt to not look like a fool in front of Bobby was overwhelming for a few seconds.

I think he said that he was horrified that Bobby would think he was a potzer
@@stepladder3518 accuse him of being a patzer
A patzer, which is songs for a chess noob
Thanks everyone for clarifying that!
Having great stories to tell is meaningless if you don't know how to engagingly tell them. Luckily, Yasser also has that part covered.
Can someone please explain it to me, i am not a native speaker unfortunately I didn't get the story sorry
