- My step by step tutorial of how to cut bouncy face framing layers into your hair at home!
I am a fully qualified hairdresser so please feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below!
Thanks for watching, leave me a comment down below if you have any questions!
How I cut these bouncy 90's style layers into my own hair:
1- Starting at the very top of the hairline, cut the first section to the desired length.
2- Gradually introduce more hair section by section and use the length of the previous section as a guide while cutting in a downwards motion for a seamless gradual effect.
3- Repeat this on both sides
4- Once the hair is dry, remove weight to shatter any harsh lines

That's why Brad mondo reacted to her
Her comb tells me yes
90s layers are so beautiful! Timeless. This is gorgeous ❤
Very elegant 👌🏽

Watch an exact Tutorial, I am Sure there is
can i do this cut on dry hair?
Same
“My hair was feeling flat” same
Something about a small or simple haircut can be so life changing ❤
This is a 70's cut. My son is getting married with a 70s' theme. I'll cut this for the wedding.
Congratulations.
Looks like a fun style.
I was confused like, there's pictures of my mom & her friends in the 70s with this style. Congratulations!
style cycles every 20 years so the 70s were super popular in the 90s ☺️
You're right this is 70's-80's Farah Fawcett hair
I always did mine with a razor in smaller sections. They came out perfect.
Pretty good self cutting skills miss 😮
I'm in love with the style I'm gonna try it
Yass girl you did that!!! your hair looks amazing and so full of life now! And your cutting skills are on point!!! 😊
That transition was smoother than literally anything smooth
Hahahahaha thanks!
Omg stop it so perfect
My moms said this was once called the Farah Fawcet. You look fabulous fr. 💅🏽
Awh thank you!! I’ve never heard of that before I’m going to google it ☺️
She was an actress. I think she was one of the original Charlie’s Angels (show from forever ago). When I was smallkidtime (Hawaiian pigeon English) I noticed her bikini poster was everywhere. She was considered a bombshell. If you have like an uncle, or a dad ask have you heard of her they’d be like omg you don’t even know! Again fr.
You've done a great job in cutting your hair it looks wonderful.
I’m getting my hair done like this later today 😁
That transition was smooootthh 👌
That’s SO cool!❤
It looks so good on you and u make it look so easy I love ur vids!
Awh thank youuu x
That's the smoothest transition ever 😮 you slay girl ❤ PS. I cut my hair like this❤✨️
Яка молодчинка, така гарна робота. Я на іншій людини так рівно не можу обрізати.
1st of all.. that transition was fire! 🔥🔥🔥
This is fantastic!
Beautiful!!! You work well with the scissors you must be a cosmetologist.
Hairdresser here! I'd be shocked if she wasn't.
SHES ROCKIN THAT HAIRCUT
Excellent job...coming from a retired hairdresser!
Just now realizing how subjective "easy" actually is
Omg you did such an amazing job
Shame i cant do this i have african(THE NATURAL AFRO TYPE) hair and its in dreadlocks 😢 but i do still love my hair😮
Awh thank you so much! I think dreadlocks look so beautiful and I’m obsessed with the braid rings in your picture 😩❤️
Hey sis, u can also curl your locs with roller/rods. Smaller rods for smaller/tighter curls and vice versa❣️
@@Rachelmckeown thank you for the compliment ☺️
@@tissanyx1167 I’ll ask my mum if I could try that
Thank you for the tip
Gorgeous!
Yeah if it’s straight hair it’s easy… impossible with curly or wavy long hair.. even hairdressers get into trouble cutting mine :(
90s hair is for straight hair anyways
Cut it dry. It’s so hard with curly hair to factor in the shrinkage that will occur when it dries. If you go ahead and rough cut it dry then you won’t get into any issues of cutting it too short.
@@JentasticVintage26 I won’t dare to cut my hair myself.. not every hairdresser manages to cut front in the right way..
Great music and great hair.
THE BLOWOUT IS EVERYTHING, BEST BLOWOUT FR THAT I'VE SEEN ON THE INTENET UPTILL NOW
Looks wonderful
Hey I'm gen z we got those 90s layers from the 60s, lol. Still love them till this day. Now the "feathered look" id beg to differ😁😳😳😳😳
You've singlehandedly brought back 90s layers.
They were already in. Hundreds of thousands of women have these kind of layers. It's called the butterfly cut. She didn't bring anything back.. she follows trends.. not sets them. She ain't Kim K.
I think she meant 70's This wasn't a 90's thing!
@skyangel6336 wait whatt i swear it was... maybe it started in the 70s but i feel like ive seen this type of fluffy in a lot of 90s-2000s movies.
I just did this cut yesterday!!!
@@skyangel6336 wait, isn’t this what Tiffany had on Saved by the Bell & other various shows? Or am I remembering wrong bc totally possible 🤷🏼♀️😅 Baywatch, Pretty Woman, and well…. I was gonna give you another example but now I can’t remember. Guess that’s what old feels like compared to saved by the bell days 😂😂
I don't know what world you are living in if that is flat to you but wow-
Big hair is back!
THAT WAS THE SMOOTHEST TRANSITION I HAVE EVER SEEN
I agree
Omg I remember your other video that blew up!!! This haircut you do soo good and you look so amazing!!!😍😍😍
Awhh thank you!! 💕💕 it’s my favourite cut to do x
I was a stylist forever but I don't know the twist thing on the opposite side I do it in the back on men but never seen this done thank you
Bro I thought u were those people who tried those hair hacks but ur amazing ❤
Precioso!!! Wonderful!!!
Omg you're so talented 😍
As a licensed cosmetologist I say DO WATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT TO UR HAIR! lol as long as it’s safe it’ll be fun 🎉🫶🏻
Very beautiful but the quintessential 90's layers were different -I'd describe them as blunter and edgier looking. Then we added chunky highlights and the look was complete.
I just did this for someone today at work! Amazing I can’t wait to try twisting and slithering into it! Thanks
Girl. Your hair was literally gorgeous
I love it!
Gorgeous 😮
imagine styling it everyday
If someone is styling it everyday they are clueless about hair in general.
You did THAT!!!
girl you did that!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🔥🌟⚡
It’s look so beautiful 😍
She's prob a hairdresser cause the way she holds the scissors is just professional
Beautiful !
Love it
I have been trying for years to get someone to get back my old 90s layered cut And nobody can do it About to attempt it myself.
It looks good but I would b so scared to cut my hair that much😭😭
Hahah thank you! X
Wow!!!❤🎉
You did that Amazingly Great ❤ Fearless
Thanks for share your video. ❤
You're definitely a professional
Girl naww the way I just fvcked my shlt up trying to do this lmaoo
Gorgeous
Eu Fiz e deu Mega certo 👍 Parabéns ! 👋👋👋 Meu cabelo é igual. É necessário ter Tesoura de Corte adequada
Lol the end result is bimbolisious 😂
Beauty❤
Beautiful!! However, it looks a lot more like 1980-1982 without the super wispy bangs that didn't connect to the face-framing very well, not the 90s.
Where did you get '90s from? 😂 This haircut is from the '70's.
Damn if you're not a hairstylist you really need to be cuz from my license cosmetologist you did a great job
Gorgeous. Def gained yourself a new subber, beauty with the hair secrets! If only I could have hair one quarter as nice as yours! Lol!
I am a hairdresser and I was an apprentice in the late 90’s ,
I remember doing the slide cutting with scissors just like that ,
You must be a hairdresser / hairstylist too?
Your cutting skills are amazing!
💜
I literally just saw BradMondo reacting to you❤
Didn’t you have layers initially?
Super habe ich etwas neues gelernt.
Brauo👍👍👍👍
Good job girl❤
Wow ❤🎉
Looks amazing however if you want a real 90' s feel you honestly need to break that flat bleached hair up with low lights & chunky ones at that ..your hair looks lovely but that big block of bleach is a bit aging
These are my 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s, Probably until I have hair on my head layers.
ابدعتي انه في غاية الجمال تحياتي لك ❤❤❤❤❤
Her: my hair was feeling flat
Me: Girl that's flat to you?!
That looks amazing on you! But it wouldn’t look good on my thin hair, mine looks better with no layers
perfect 👏
Qui comme moi a regarder cette vidéo et c'est mis a dansé😂😂😂😂
How would it look without a full blowout?
I have this same doubt
@@Tangsunyunit looks good smooth too. I had this haircut for many years. I don’t know what to call it but it was collar bone length with face framing layers that started around an inch or so below the chin. If you turn it under or flat iron it instead of doing a traditional blowout, it frames the face and lays nicely.
I fully did this last week but I forgot I have curly hair and it had that straight down cut since the pandemic so I acc forgotten how it looked with layers. It feels sooooo healthy but i feel kinda of bald or naked somehow 😂
This was not 90s at all!!! 90s bangs were still curled, ratted and hair sprayed til crunchy.
I woul like to see how its looked unstyled 😅
You're so skilled!
It's giving Elle Woods
Ohhhhh stop it hahah thanks I wish x
Guys she is professional. Pls don't try this at home 🙏🏡
You must be a hairstylist cuz you did that like a pro and if your not 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌🏼 - from a 10+ year hairstylist
❤ Amazing🎉
We did it first in the 70's...Farrah Fawcett. Soften up the roots though.
كنتحداك تجربيها عزيزتي المشاهدة 🙂
Girls, that's advanced skill level cutting.... trying this at home if you don't know what you're doing yet is a recipe for disaster. This isn't her first rodeo!
exactly
You should consider becoming a hair dresser 💜💜
Oh my lord. KIDS don't try this at home 😂 She clearly knows what she's doing. But i wouldn't risk it. Just go to a professional. It shouldn't be more than $30 . That's a lot less than if they have to do damage control bc you cut it half off and wonky.
You're welcome 🫶🏽🥰
@BradMondo needs to see this
Bravissimmma !! Sicuramente sei una Parrucchiera ! Interessante. Grazie per averlo condiviso, buon lavoro.
Color doesnt do its justise
