Thank you so much for this video. My wife has a 2013 Honda CRV and while I've never been the automotive type, even when it comes to replacing a battery you made this extremely simple very informative and a lot more easier than waiting on a auto parts store or provider in switching out the battery for me.
You should always remove the negative black terminal first on a negative ground vehicle. Make sure that the negative conductor is held out of the way before undoing the positive red terminal. This is to avoid touching the spanner/ratchet touching ground and shorting the battery. Also the hold bracket should be installed back before re connecting. You also mentioned that you were only doing small trips this is possibly why the older battery is dropping voltage because it’s not getting long enough runs to keep the battery topped up enough. You might have saved some money by not taking it to the dealer but the dealer would’ve done that job correctly. You have posted a video that could cause somebody to damage or set fire to their vehicle and possibly injure themselves. You are clearly not trained on something as simple as this. Sorry for being so direct mate but your method could be dangerous. You might want to re post an amendment.
Very helpful when I needed to replace my 2014 CR-V battery. Wasn't happy after the past three mild winters to replace a battery on a car we bought new and only put 36,000 miles on it. But your video gets no complaints!
He did a great job illustrating with details. Yes he should have disconnected the negative First and also he should have gotten a 10 mm socket. I don't know why he is using the needle nose if he has to 10 mm socket but I forgot he didn't have the Deep one
Great video. I just finished replacing the original battery (5 years old). The procedure was well explained right from the 10mm spanner to listening for click on reattachment. I agree with the negative terminals first comments. Life in Canadian winters!
Thanks for the clear instructions. I was surprised to find my Canadian version of 2014 CR-V actually uses a group size 35 as OEM. I had to run back to Costco again to return the 51R and buy the 35. It also has different sized tray and plastic case. In case you need to upsize your 51R, it's definitely possible with the right tray and case. Not sure about the clamp though.
I bought my 2008 Honda CR-V in 2008 in Mesa, AZ. I was having to buy a new battery every year or two but the dealership said that was pretty common because of the heat in the summer. Since then we've moved to Utah where it's hot(low to mid 100s) and cold(-15 to 30s) in the winter, I'm just now having to replace my battery i last bought in AZ over 5 yrs ago. Thanks for the video, I'm hoping it helps me change my battery to save some bucks! I'm also going to Costco to buy one so thanks for that as well!
I'm going next door to my neighbors house right now to replace her 2012 CRV battery. She has had the same issues with her CRV. That is why I'm watching this video. Great video . Thanks.
Thanks for this video. I was able to remove my battery take it in and get it tested and charged at Autozone. Put it back in and the car started! Autozone stated it charged to 65% on their fast charger. I had the battery replaced as it was a 100 month OEM battery about 2 5 years ago. I plan to contact the dealership and see what they say as this was another OEM 100 month battery. Will keep you posted...
From Chicago. I’ve had this issue multiple times. I ordered an AGM battery from Costco. I hope that this may solve the problems. I had the alternator and starter checked. Everything came back good.
I have a 2012 crv and have the same issues in the cold weather!! After watching your video -- ill do it myself I think some caution should be taken when putting on the bracket- should have covered the positive terminal
Great Video - thanks for taking the time to make it. We have same issue with 2014 CR-V - on very cold mornings it won't start and dealer can't figure out why. I looked online and see many people also having this problem. For us, it takes a few tries and will then finally start up. Tonight it died in a parking lot - this time battery went dead and had to get a jump. So disappointed in this car. We are going to replace the battery but you also mentioned a computer issue - can you please elaborate as I want to ensure the dealer checks into that. Thanks!
You're welcome. At 0:12 seconds into the video I showed the letter I got from Honda about bringing it to their garage so they can update the computer. If you haven't done that with your vehicle, I would suggest calling Honda about it. It was free.
Thank you for the video. I checked out my 2015 CRV battery for the 1st time with help for your video. It was not starting with cold weather and I did the update last spring as well, so I hope this work
Hey AwkwardHamster, Thanks a lot for showing us how you installed your new battery. I am just wondering if you had any RESET problems with the radio or other electronics (maintenance minder, etc), when you disconnected the old battery and reconnected your new costco battery? Many thanks...Terry
Thanks for your reply. I picked up the same interstate battery at Costco for my 2012 CR-V. Thanks to your video, I’m ready to replace my battery tomorrow. But I'm worried that I will lose my data stored in my Honda Navigation GPS Address Book, Honda Radio and Maintenance Minder History. Does your 2012 CR-V have these devices? If so, did you lose and functionality on these systems? So to have to ask you again. Cheers…Terry P.S. Did you eventually fix your battery problem?
+Terry Lim My CRV doesn't have Nav. Even when I unplugged the battery to my Acura, I didn't lose the contents stored for GPS address book. I am pretty sure the radio station remained the same when I removed the battery completely.
I usually put a little oil on the threads on the battery hold down. It keeps the cheap threads from getting stripped so it will come off easier as the car gets older. Good video.
Awesome video! Really well filmed and explained. Here in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Costco has Kirkland Signature batteries with great warranty. Just replaced mine yesterday with the help of your video on our 2012 CRV. Hopefully, your issue got resolved. Our CRV (like all our Hondas) has been really reliable.
Hey, loved this video so well produced and infromative, I recently had an abnormal dead battery on my 13CRV the other day. What's weird was that the vehicle was in the shop a month before and tested fine. I never heard about this computer system update before and dealership never informed me bc it's not an official recall. I'm going to replace the battery with an interstate and we'll see how that goes. Although, there are rumors circulating that the ECO button contributes to battery drain. My vehicle has less than 33K miles and it's 2017 so I chalked it up to old age but it was bizarre how it died out of nowhere. I'll keep ya updated.
Very helpful. Thank you. Female with limited car repair experience, but I was able to follow along and replace battery all by myself. I own a 2014 CR-V, bought it new, and just replaced the original battery @ 76k miles.
Did you ever take it into the dealer to get it checked out? When I took it in they told me that Honda was working in a fix and it should be released soon. That was in 2013 and it's still it fixed.
@@frenzy2223 I know it's been a year, but for others that may be cruising this thread that's the infamous actuator valve problem. It does it on accords, CR-Vs, etc... There's no real fix for it. According to the forums Honda can replace it, but it comes back, sometimes after 3k miles and or up to 20k miles. And to get to it, they have to remove a lot of engine components, which if not done by a great technician can cause more problems if they don't follow a detailed procedure correctly. The best thing I've heard of and tried so far is to turn the key to the on position, but don't crank it. Let it sit for 3-5 seconds in the on position, then turn the key to off and then start it. Apparently this helps the actuator reset properly before starting. Who knows if that what it really does, but it seems to work. Our 2014 CR-V only did it when the temps drop. So I remind my wife every October to start doing this short process. She rolls her eyes, so it's doubtful she does it every time though... LOL P.S. Along similar lines, it's good to let the idle process complete before taking off. That is, wait about 30 seconds after starting or so for the RPMs to drop back to normal before taking off. Apparently that also helps oil get to all the right spots in the engine so everything is lubricated and it will increase engine life rather than just taking off immediately after starting. Just something I learned recently that is worth sharing.
did it fix your issue longterm? im googling this issue because my fathers 2016 crv has had the battery drained after short trips... so wondering if it's worth changing the battery.
It was a combination of having Honda update the computer and changing the battery that fixed the issue. If you don’t live in cold climates your battery may still last another year or two. But for my cars any battery issue pops up in the winter.
@@AwkwardHamster I live in one of the coldest countries in Canada (Quebec) with harsh winters this is starting to make sense. Could you please tell me how Honda updated the computer? Thank you and seasons greetings! =)
AwkwardHamster, thank you for your video. Do you still have car starting problems with your CRV after the Honda SB software update and battery replacement? We still have ours with our 2012 CRV after battery replacement and software update. It was done December of 2015 and after a year the battery started to bug down specially on minus degrees. Thanks.
Thanks for the video! I have a 15 CRV and after just 3 years, battery was dead after a cold night. Jump started fine, but happened again. Got my new battery from Costco and couldn’t figure out how to get those plastic wire keeper bolts off. One of them ended up breaking.
Dude I got a 15 CRV too, it was dead on a random night and since it was still under warranty I made dealership test it and they told me nothing was wrong. now 6 months later my car just got out of warranty 1 month ago, the car died on me 3 times in a spawn of 3 weeks. I did bring my car to 3 different location to get alternator and battery test and they told me they are fine... I dont know man... I will go change that battery and if this happens again... ill know I got some drains somewhere on a 3 years old honda car... Their reliability is a joke now.
Hello, your video was really helpful to get the battery replaced. The only problem I ran into at the end was getting the little black (with green plug inside) connector snap into place. It seems it’s connected and the car started also but the connector didn’t click. Should I be concerned?
AwkwardHamster Sorry I don’t know how to add a picture in RUclips comment. At about 6:32 minutes in your video, just before you said ‘Start the car’, there was a click sound as you plugged the connector. When I plugged it, I didn’t hear the click. Again, the click sound I am referring to is at 6:32 minute in your video. It is the small connector below the negative terminal on the left hand side. Thanks.
Very helpful video. The biggest problem I had was when I dropped my 10 mm wrench into the engine compartment. I replaced the battery on my 2017 CRV after the instrument panel started to act up driving home down Alligator Alley in the dark. The radio stopped working, later the fuel gage stopped working, the display was all messed up. It was fine the next day, but I did not want it to happen again. The CRV is less than 4 years old, but I worry about the Florida heat. I never had a problem starting the CRV.
There are powered items running even when the car is turned off. The clock and anti theft system are 2 I can think of off the top of my head. In cases like this a deep cycle battery survives near or complete discharge much better than a standard lead acid battery. It wouldn't hurt to install a trickle charger, either a household current or solar powered to maintain the battery during periods of no use.
Do you have one of those 12V battery chargers and maintainers that you can connect to the car battery the night before you plan to drive. they are pretty good to have for card that do not get driven much.. They are also good to use from time to time in order to prevent the battery from getting deep cycled. Also if possible, can you get a multimeter and then use the current measure function to measure the cars current usage while it is off? This will help you determine if there are any failed components that are causing a drain on the battery when the car is off. PS, never attempt to start a car while performing a current measurement with a multimeter, it will blow the fuse in the multimeter.
I have that too. Used that with my 86 Reliant. Don't get to park the car in the garage anymore so not easy to use hook it up. I put about 6000 miles on the CRV a year and drive it at least once a week.
After Honda updated the computer, the car allowed me to start even at a lower voltage. I think before the computer update, the car won’t let me start the engine when the voltage dropped below a value. I still had to replace my car battery.
I live in New Jersey as well and now I’m having issues with this thing had a 05 Crv and it cranks but won’t start wait 1 minute and start idk it just starting to doing that on like on cold 🥶
Hey bud, thanks a million for this informative video! Can i ask if for an update on your situation now two years later? did this solve the CRV starting problem for good?
there is a rest always when u unhook the car, just did mine and you can get the code for the radio when u open the glove compartment right hand side theres a sticker with a 5 digit code
Thank you for posting this video, had great information. I have the same car, and the same problem. Honda will not help at all even with extended warranty, Biggest waste of money, do not but the warranty.
You mean the metal crossbar that goes across the top of the battery to told it in place? That’s not a big problem. Try to straighten it back and use those J hooks to keep it secure enough so the battery doesn’t move or shift when when driving. The J hooks are usually pretty long so they can be easily adjusted.
You just need to Clean the corrosion on the two ground wire harness. One ground wire is connected to the battery and the other one is hidden under. Honda's electrical wirings are designed to corrode & fail after several years. You should clean all ground wire terminals because Honda used dissimilar types of metal. Perfect recipe for Galvanic Corrosion. The Transmission Ground Wire is HIDDEN under the air cleaner bracket near battery. You will need to remove the front splash shield to have access on the opposite end of the transmission ground cable. You can use Multi-Purpose Grease to seal the connections. The best option is to replace the copper terminal with steel and use heat shrink to seal the copper wiring.
My 2016 CRV just took a big crap... it's got less than 3000 miles and it won't turn over. I got the computer "updated" about a month ago. We couldn't even jump it. Do you recommend getting another Honda battery or going with something else?
I would just go with another brand battery. I pay more attention to cranking amps (since I live in Jersey) and warranty and I'm less concerned about battery brand.
I am having battery issues on my 2013 Honda CR-V. Never heard about the software issue. Please excuse my ignorance. Which year model is the car on the video? Thanks. I have given Thumbs up on your great video. Do they charge you at the dealership to update the computer to fix the battery issue?
+Bangla Channel Mine CRV is 2012. The letter from Honda I showed in the video came in a general envelope. Not one of those recall envelopes with red warnings printed on it. Either case Honda updated the software for free.
after you changed the battery and started the car, do you see any code or anything abnormal? did you lose preset radio or cell phone connection? Or everything just became usual as before?
+QQ QQ No warning indicator lights came on after the change. Radio unlock code is in the owners manual or pamphlet you got from the dealership after purchasing the vehicle. Every car has their own radio code.
Very helpful and informative video, thanks a lot. Changed my stock battery on my 14 CRV which had a little bulge on one side. Changed to a Duracell Ultra Gold, I'm going to see how long that battery lasts.
Thanks for this, it helped me replace the battery on my 2016 CRV. The only issue I had was reconnecting the connector (around 6:30 in the video) where I did not hear a click. However, it did feel connected. Anyone know the purpose of this connection? Never met this on any of my previous cars.
I need to enter a 5 digit security code after changing the battery, or any power loss, before I can use the radio. My 5 digit code was included with the owners manual packet.
OMG! You should always connect the POSITIVE Battery Terminal first and make sure you the terminal is tight and secured before connecting the Negative Cable.
SAL WHAT? It's STUPID to disconnect the Positive cable first and reconnect it last. Maybe your brain needs a little electric shock to function properly.
absolutely no difference. except for the following The reason I would connect the positive cable first (in a negatively-earthed car) is that while tightening the positive connector with a spanner (wrench), if I were to touch the body of the car with the spanner at the same time, nothing would happen and I would be OK. However if the negative was already connected to the battery and I shorted the positive to the body with the spanner, there would now be a short circuit with a big spark and a possible fire. For the same reason I would disconnect the negative connector first too.
I have a 2013 Honda CRV and it goes dead every month for no apparent reason I took it to the auto parts place they tested it said it was a good battery and the alternator is good now it won't crank at all. it has some miles on it but I would expect more from a Honda they have a good reputation they definitely need to fix this problem I have heard a lot of people have this problem
Intheevening 123 I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it used to do that. Later found out battery was losing power through the power outlets and a short on the electrical wiring. So, you may like to find out if your cars electrical components are draining the battery. Thanks.
You are great, thanks for the video, First I got panic when the car gave up starting, I was about to leave office in the morning, thinking of the options all over my head, I called the insurance to jump start it. But don't want to take to dealership, they charge a lot as you said. called Costco , they have the battery but won't do installation (disappointed). Then I searched and found your video. Its was so helpful, gave me confident to DIY, great; 10 minutes all set... Thanks.
Yes, I had to enter a 5 digit code to use the radio after a power lose, like changing the battery. My radio code is found with the owners manual folder.
Just wanted to say thank you for the helpful video. After watching, I just changed the battery myself for my Honda CRV which is exactly the same year as yours. After replaced the battery, no radio code is needed. Just need to preset some radio channels that l lost. Not a big deal at all.
Hello, if a new battery is inserted and the battery indication is still illuminated on the crv car dometer. What to do Knowing that the dynamo is good.
Thanks for the video. I just replaced mine on the same car with the same interstate battery from costco. The car starts up fine now but the battery light came on. Anyone know what this means?
+arshakadelic Be careful. That light indicates there is an issue charging your battery. Car may start but it isn't charging the battery properly. So if battery runs out you will be stuck on the road. 20 sec after starting the engine the battery light stays on? Do you still have the old battery?
AwkwardHamster yes it's still on 20 seconds after. Just drove around the block, it's on. I do have the old battery. I read it maybe from loose terminal connection or corrosion that wasn't cleaned away. I used baking soda and water and scrubbed most off but there were some stubborn pieces I couldn't get off.
I buy newborn the honda crv 1999 but I didn't know the place you want to program there but the car will start but it didn't have the place obd do you have to put the machine and you program I want you to ask weather they have different machine they use to program that 99 honda crv please I want you to help me to show me how to program the board the car will start
Anyone have grinding noise from engine when first start on cold mornings. Some people have the problem and it seems some don’t. The grinding can’t be missed. Honda won’t acknowledge but it has some to do with an auto cam adjuster or something..anyway I turn the key all the way to right for 30 secs or so and then turn to start very quickly once or twice without starting and then start...it helps. Comment please
Did you have any problems starting your CRV after installing a new battery? Let me know if this solved your problem. I am currently thinking about changing the battery on my 2013 CRV. Thanks
Sung Yang - We changed the battery and it still wouldn't start. Called Blair's Towing and the driver was able to start my car; he said he pumped the gas a few times before turning the ignition. Makes me wonder if lack of gas was the problem all along, rather than the battery.

07civic too
did it fix your issue longterm? im googling this issue because my fathers 2016 crv has had the battery drained after short trips... so wondering if it's worth changing the battery.
I don’t know how Honda updates car computers. The letter I showed at 0:14 basically told me to bring it to Honda so they can update the computer.
Thank you for the video. I was able to change the battery my self for my car.
Thanks.
Hello. After the software update and battery replacement I no longer have battery issues.
Thanks for the video! I have a 15 CRV and after just 3 years, battery was dead after a cold night. Jump started fine, but happened again. Got my new battery from Costco and couldn’t figure out how to get those plastic wire keeper bolts off. One of them ended up breaking.
+John Bryant
Thank you
Dude I got a 15 CRV too, it was dead on a random night and since it was still under warranty I made dealership test it and they told me nothing was wrong. now 6 months later my car just got out of warranty 1 month ago, the car died on me 3 times in a spawn of 3 weeks.
I did bring my car to 3 different location to get alternator and battery test and they told me they are fine...
I dont know man... I will go change that battery and if this happens again... ill know I got some drains somewhere on a 3 years old honda car...
Their reliability is a joke now.
Did that resolve ur issue? I have a 2015 crv that randomly won’t start without a jump, just hit 40k miles. Battery & alternator test good
Hello, your video was really helpful to get the battery replaced. The only problem I ran into at the end was getting the little black (with green plug inside) connector snap into place. It seems it’s connected and the car started also but the connector didn’t click. Should I be concerned?
I'm not sure what you're describing. Can you send a picture?
AwkwardHamster
Sorry I don’t know how to add a picture in RUclips comment.
Thank you. I needed to remove that plastic bit without breaking it!
Hi was the computer ok after changing it? Did it need to be reset or anything?
After Honda updated the computer, the car allowed me to start even at a lower voltage. I think before the computer update, the car won’t let me start the engine when the voltage dropped below a value. I still had to replace my car battery.
I live in New Jersey as well and now I’m having issues with this thing had a 05 Crv and it cranks but won’t start wait 1 minute and start idk it just starting to doing that on like on cold 🥶
Hello sir, I have a 2014 CRV , just wanted to know what is that container in the bumper on the left called ? I takes fresh air to the air cleaner
If you’re referring to the air filter located under the hood, that is for filter out leaves and stuff so it won’t reach the engine components.
@@AwkwardHamster Thanks
Hey bud, thanks a million for this informative video! Can i ask if for an update on your situation now two years later? did this solve the CRV starting problem for good?
+vicko5000
Crv has not had a problem since I made this video.
there is a rest always when u unhook the car, just did mine and you can get the code for the radio when u open the glove compartment right hand side theres a sticker with a 5 digit code
Nope, mine is also CRV 2012. just hold down audio power button for 2 seconds and you are all set !..
Thanks. Made changing mine super easy. 10minutes.
Awesome
Thank you for posting this video, had great information. I have the same car, and the same problem. Honda will not help at all even with extended warranty, Biggest waste of money, do not but the warranty.
I think I bent the holder on the top.... is it gonna be a big problem? I’m worried...
You mean the metal crossbar that goes across the top of the battery to told it in place? That’s not a big problem. Try to straighten it back and use those J hooks to keep it secure enough so the battery doesn’t move or shift when when driving. The J hooks are usually pretty long so they can be easily adjusted.
@@AwkwardHamster alright... that's what I did. Thanks a lot! You replied really fast. Thank you.
The video was very clear. Easy to follow. Great job!
+Bangla Channel
Mine CRV is 2012. The letter from Honda I showed in the video came in a general envelope. Not one of those recall envelopes with red warnings printed on it.
Either case Honda updated the software for free.
AwkwardHamster Thank you.
Thank you You were very clear and easy to follow Blessings
Thanks
after you changed the battery and started the car, do you see any code or anything abnormal? did you lose preset radio or cell phone connection? Or everything just became usual as before?
+QQ QQ
No, the preset and cell phone data stayed. Prob had to enter the radio lock code but that's not a problem.
thanks. Did you see any indicators on, like engine or others? And what's radio lock code?
+QQ QQ
No warning indicator lights came on after the change. Radio unlock code is in the owners manual or pamphlet you got from the dealership after purchasing the vehicle. Every car has their own radio code.
thanks for your prompt response!
Thanks very much. Your video helped me change the battery.
Cool
Did you have problems with the computer not retaining it's memory when the battery was disconnected?
The electronics gets reset whenever the battery gets disconnected
@@AwkwardHamster Okay - thanks.
Very helpful and informative video, thanks a lot. Changed my stock battery on my 14 CRV which had a little bulge on one side. Changed to a Duracell Ultra Gold, I'm going to see how long that battery lasts.
Thank you.
I have a 2013 and appreciate your video. Btw my battery was original battery 5 years old. No computer problems.
Thanks
Thanks for this, it helped me replace the battery on my 2016 CRV. The only issue I had was reconnecting the connector (around 6:30 in the video) where I did not hear a click. However, it did feel connected. Anyone know the purpose of this connection? Never met this on any of my previous cars.
Is there a security code needed to enable infotainment after the battery install?
I need to enter a 5 digit security code after changing the battery, or any power loss, before I can use the radio. My 5 digit code was included with the owners manual packet.
It was so helpful.. thanks
Great. You’re welcome
OMG! You should always connect the POSITIVE Battery Terminal first and make sure you the terminal is tight and secured before connecting the Negative Cable.
That is completely wrong, DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS^^^^
SAL Do you really think the Owner's manual is wrong and you are right. 😆
SAL WHAT? It's STUPID to disconnect the Positive cable first and reconnect it last. Maybe your brain needs a little electric shock to function properly.
absolutely no difference. except for the following
The reason I would connect the positive cable first (in a negatively-earthed car) is that while tightening the positive connector with a spanner (wrench), if I were to touch the body of the car with the spanner at the same time, nothing would happen and I would be OK.
However if the negative was already connected to the battery and I shorted the positive to the body with the spanner, there would now be a short circuit with a big spark and a possible fire. For the same reason I would disconnect the negative connector first too.
Negative cable should be secured first.. This will help prevent "you" from being the path to ground in the event of a short.
Thanks for the video, gave me confidence to do it and I did it too!
Excellent

Do I need to run idle learning procedure?
I have a 2013 Honda CRV and it goes dead every month for no apparent reason I took it to the auto parts place they tested it said it was a good battery and the alternator is good now it won't crank at all. it has some miles on it but I would expect more from a Honda they have a good reputation they definitely need to fix this problem I have heard a lot of people have this problem
Intheevening 123 I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it used to do that. Later found out battery was losing power through the power outlets and a short on the electrical wiring. So, you may like to find out if your cars electrical components are draining the battery. Thanks.
I believe your CRV needs a software update in the computer. call your local dealer it’s part of a recall
Help me a LOT! Thanks man!
Cool
I followed your step by step. Thanks!
Cool
Thank you. you saved my day.

Thanks.
Glad to hear this helped. Thank you.
What year was this CRV?
2012
Thanks for the instructions 👍 I have 2016 Honda CRV does we need any kind of radio activation after we replace the battery?
Yes, I had to enter a 5 digit code to use the radio after a power lose, like changing the battery. My radio code is found with the owners manual folder.
very best youtube chanel👍👍👍
Thanks
Just wanted to say thank you for the helpful video. After watching, I just changed the battery myself for my Honda CRV which is exactly the same year as yours. After replaced the battery, no radio code is needed. Just need to preset some radio channels that l lost. Not a big deal at all.

Hello, if a new battery is inserted and the battery indication is still illuminated on the crv car dometer. What to do Knowing that the dynamo is good.
Excellent Video, thanks!
Thanks for watching
Great video! Helped me alot
Thanks for the video. I just replaced mine on the same car with the same interstate battery from costco. The car starts up fine now but the battery light came on. Anyone know what this means?
+arshakadelic
Be careful.
AwkwardHamster also, I did put those felt pads underneath the terminal connectors and covered it in silicone grease
AwkwardHamster dude, just realized I forgot to reconnect the wire that clicks in! Fixed it. 🤦♂️

Comment please
same noise from my 2013 crv. only in cold mornings does it do it
Check out that starter is returning to disengaged position
There s a cream to clean. The terminal to avoid corrosion😁 and neg first to remove ✌✌

Thanks! Just changed mine after watching ur video. Yes, the owner's manual also says remove +ve last. around pg 309.
