This is a real game-changer for me. I do tons of lead sheets and many piano arrangements in Sibelius. I used to spend an inordinate amount of time on each sheet (or arrangement)
selecting the same x number of options (notehead style, title fonts, bar number placement and formatting, chord symbol font and placement, etc.). After having watched your video, not anymore. What a time-saver this is. I wasn't aware that I could create a custom template to achieve that goal. I will definietly check out your other Sibelius videos. Thank you, thank you.
Very straight forward and to the point. Just what I needed.
Thank you! Kept wondering why there wasn't an easy option for this!
THANK YOU!
Concise and to the point
can you do a tutorial
on deleing categories and manuscripts
@@toddmosbymusic I can certainly try! I'll add it to my list of video ideas 😅
Super helpful, thank you!
Temporary solution: it turns out I _can_ create custom templates... I just can't overwrite the existing 'Blank' template that Sibelius comes with pre-installed.
-This is a good tutorial however my edits to the existing 'Blank' template didn't save after clicking Export. More details 👇-
When I clicked 'Export', I got the following message: "This file is read only. You cannot edit or delete it". I click OK. Then I get another message: "You cannot export Manuscript Paper because the Manuscript Paper folder is read-only". I'm guessing this means my new version of the 'Blank' template wasn't saved.
Never mind: Deleting manuscript paper
If you ever want to rename or delete manuscript paper, you will find the manuscript paper files in a folder called Manuscript Paper within Sibelius’s application data folder (see User-editable files on page 26).
Great tutorial. Question: you accidentally put Largo into the file. I just created a file and accidentally put all the song information in the file. How do you delete a Custom Template?
