was NEVER a fan of ktm’s until i rode a friends 350 and i fell inlove with it. much like jay i stick to 250F’s and feel a 450 is too much and the 350 is the perfect in between bike. they feel just like a 250f with a really good engine package that revs to the moon
Ping: old school 2-stroke guy here. YZ250 or 350 SXF for getting back into riding and possibly 50+ and 55+ racing? This 350 sure looks nice. Great build.
As an old 250 2T guy who took 15 years off riding, the 350 will put less knobby marks on your tongue from running it over. My first off-road bike when I started back was actually a 350EXC. It was plenty enough power. Actually don't much like riding 2T anymore unless they're counterbalanced Austrian bikes. The older tech feels like an out of balance washing machine.
@paulmcmullen914 I’d highly suggest trying to find a 350 to try out. I started out hard core 2t guy and swore I’d never own a 4t. I converted 15 years ago and never went back. This past season I went from a 450 (been on them 15 yrs) to a 350 and haven’t looked back. The 250f’s are really a lot of fun but most of us guys in our 30’s or older aren’t as thin as we once were. And the 250f just doesn’t have the bark most of us want. I also don’t like the thought of having to rebuild a 250f every 50 or so hours. I’ve got 130 hours on my ‘22 350 and it’s been phenomenal. I’m probly have it gone trough around the 150hr mark. It’s a really awesome package.
Or, you could get an RMZ 450 which makes about the same power and at a much lower RPM. I had a last gen 350 and loved it, but picked up a 1 hour RMZ for 5k and with the suspension swap to a KYB shock, some fork revalving am only in about 6500. That is about half what a 350 will cost, unless you can pick up a left over. I have an SXF 270 as my other bike and it reminds me a lot of the las gen 350, just a little less torque. Either way it's a win!

I love the air forks. I guess I don’t know any better.
Great build, thanks for posting
I want to see Jay ride it !!
Jay Clark is a badass!

Ask @gypsytales he owns and runs the church of 350s
Get a 350. The Husqvarna chassis is great for people getting back into the sport.

Are you using the stock rear sprocket, or have you gone up on the tooth size ?
haha, "if deegan runs the scoop, I run the scoop!" Now I know why he said, if he sees a "dirt poof" hes out.
Not when it's just 10 pounds lighter than my kx450. Put that thing on a diet and give it more power than it currently has, THEN we'll talk.
Feels waaaay lighter on the track. Less inertia so it turns better and it’s easy to hang on for a full moto.
