How is this possible that he is deemed "not guilty"? I want to hear from the prosecution. I hope he stays in an institution for life. 1 major point for the insanity plea is that Austin really did suffer from delusions
1 major point against it is that he was still sane enough to look up "how to use the insanity plea" two days before the incident even took place.
It's known that drugs can enormously exaggerate pre-existing mental illnesses. But he also made these poor lifestyle decisions so often, knowing that it could make his mental illness incredibly dangerous, that he one day looked up "how to use the insanity plea".

@@rOnda88 you're super uninformed. They released his blood toxicology results right after they got him into custody. He had nothing in his system but a tiny amount of THC. No bath salts, no nothing. And they HAVE released the pages-long reporting on why he has been deemed medically insane at the time of that incident and in general, suffering from severe mental illness. He had a schizophrenic psychotic break. Most people with schizophrenia sound normal/functional at least some of the time, for some more often and for others less often. There were warning signs for quite some time that he was starting to have psychosis issues and his parents, while disturbed at times, overall just seemed frustrated by him or dismissive about how serious what he was going through was. They should've taken him to get help long before this happened. He was not and is not a malicious person who wanted to hurt others. He's horrified at what happened. Even at the scene, when the cops finally got him off the guy, he was screaming at the cops begging them to kill him. He wasnt in control that day. You need to be aware of what psychosis is if you're going to be commenting on psychosis.

Were the Harrouff’s a wealthy, well connected family who received special treatment?
Were strings pulled, favors called in to protect this animal? I’m not a lawyer but to me this all seems shady.
The victims should’ve at least had their day in court.
Why do we live in a society where expensive lawyers, time and time again set guilty people free on some bs.
It shouldn’t matter who the family is, what lawyer they get, or what good things the killer did before the murder. People who kill should receive harsh punishment.
We shouldn’t send murders to a posh hospital with every amenity just to be found perfectly mentally stable and released.
My heart breaks for the victims and their loved ones. They deserve justice.
If the defendant had done this to the judge’s family I have no doubt there would’ve been a trial.
And I think the defendant’s family could’ve done more but ultimately it was the defendant’s choices that caused this senseless attack.
And I understand the defendant’s family wants to be there for their loved one. But that doesn’t mean they can’t offer the victim’s family a sincere apology or show remorse for the victims and not just their entitled, spoiled, impenitent family member.
My question to y’all is what can be done? Can the judge’s decision be revoked or something? And is there anything we can do to help the victims family?

Muting the victim statement is a disgrace to this poor woman and family, and cutting it short. I’m absolutely disgusted by his jail conditions too. Why was he allowed all of this after doing the heinous crime? What is happening to so called justice. As for his family, they’re just as bad. His father celebrated his labs? I love my son with all of my heart, but if he did this to an innocent family, I could not stand so close by. I’d be there, if still love him, but I’d expect and want him to face full justice and he’d be getting no such subscriptions and care packages from me. I reiterate, I wouldn’t stop loving him, but I could not morally behave like his family have. As they say in his own words (texts) he made choices to drink and take drugs. This does not constitute insanity in such a crime, as made clear by the experts they speak to.
