No, Mac Mini M1. I have not heard the pianos on iPad but could try them I guess.

It would not matter if I suddenly had millions of dollars, would I ever return to the Apple ecosystem. Nothing about Apple is cheap or reasonable, and I feel similar in regards to Abobe's offerings

I am seriously looking for a newish audio interface. Apple stands in my way as a consumer. They are done creating anything novel.
I am sure you must ask yourself if Logic is really any better than it was 10 years ago
Yeah it's quite a lot better.
10.2 was released in 2015 and brought Alchemy which was and is still a great addition. 10.4 in 2018 was killer especially bringing Studio Strings and Studio Horns. So yeah, it has continued to get stronger. And how with Studio Piano and Studio Bass, these are nice improvements.
