Because the CAT has only around 30-40% weightage, your academics are also considered (10th, 12th, UG) and some institutions like IIM-B also give weightage to work experience. So, you need to have an overall profile. I know people even with 99.99 percentile who didn't get a call from IIM-ABC because of their low UG or class 12th GPA.
these exams are overrated and in india due to huge numbers exams have become preposterous. There is no meaning for 90 or 99 percentile. if you score 100 out of 100 is there anything else to learn in life? you think you are made? rome and manhattan are not built in a day. you have to get your hand dirty. indian system has huge flaws. it is one of the reason why it has not produced any scientist of any note for a long long time. There is no research, job is given based on marks in some exams and reputation of the school. the rule should be everybody must start at the bottom and then work hard and reach the top. you cant be at top and go topper. this is the reason india cant produce a bill gates or a steve job or a marck zucker. the brain is not matured at all to dream, all it did was study exams by roting and studying patterns of the exams: ias, iit, cat,upsc etc etc you name it--to get a dandy job. same o same!

Excise inspector is a coveted job too. If she wants to serve in the public sector, she can prepare for CSE alongside the job. IIM K is one of the best colleges in the country and she will, most probably, end up with a decent enough package. It depends on her which career path suits her more.

If someone reading this please tell me about it. I'm a stateboard student and I secured 90% in my 10th. I'm from Odisha( in odisha board even the 80% in 10th os regarded as a good percentage. And the topper of our state barely secures 95% in. So 90% is more than a good mark in 10th) But my 12th was so horrible as my father passef away and I just lost my brain and in the state board I only managed to score 65% in my 12th( 65% is Also a good mark , even scoring of 80% in our board takes guts). I'm a stateboard student and I secured 90% in my 10th. I'm from Odisha( in odisha board even the 80% in 10th os regarded as a good percentage. And the topper of our state barely secures 95% in. So 90% is more than a good mark in 10th) But my 12th was so horrible as my father passef away and I just lost my brain and in the state board I only managed to score 65% in my 12th( 65% is Also a good mark , even scoring of 80% in our board takes guts). I'm now going for my graduation, my only aim is to go to any of the government MBA university. I don't want 30lakh package but I just want to go to some of the IIMs of india. Can anyone tell me how much percentile should I score to get into any of the IIMs. Please tell me because I want to prepare for it from day 1 of my graduation 🙏🙏🙏🙏
