The announcement at 10:55 is a work of art. Philly 57 is my favorite station, and a lot of that is the absolute perfection of Kim Martin’s voiceover work. In 30 seconds he thanks the viewer for watching, teases tomorrow’s movie, namechecks himself(VERY few US stations let the announcers do this), namechecks the station, and warmly invites us to stay tuned for the next show. You rarely saw such warm continuity BACK THEN, let alone today!

LOL I was just about to say the same thing.
I loved Remote Control. I didn't know it was syndicated, though. I always watched it on MTV. I even liked the crummy Nintendo game they made.
Also loved April O'Neil.
Philly 57 was a fantastic replacement of Philly's beloved WTBS TV 48. Their programs and movies were very good and they broadcasted Flyers games.
5:19 I was always fascinated by that commercial --- the snow part...it looked cool.
It's so trippy seeing Dragon Ball on TV from '89.
I remember shopping at Lady Bug store in the 1980s, at the old Willingboro Plaza in NJ. I spent quite alot of money there in my teens. I remember when the store and that mall closed...😥.

Combined Broadcasting bought the stations of Grant Broadcasting, all with the same branding as Philly 57 such as WGBO in Chicago.

If "Rosie: The Rosemary Clooney Story" aired "tomorrow night" (11:00) and that movie was on Friday at 8 pm (11:55) then these would have aired on Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989.
Ok, thanks. I was looking hard on Google for an old TV listing from the Philly area to figure out when these aired and gave up. I didn't realize all the clues I needed were in here.
0:40 - I remember when Princess Furniture would lose its lease at least once a year. Even as a kid, I knew it was a scam.

These are some weird ads to play during a Dragon Ball commercial break.
It was just the eight o'clock movie on this station, this was years before it was aired as a cartoon series in the U.S.
There's was a American Appliance in our neighborhood in New Jersey behind Taco Bell and near the High School 15 minutes near Philly.
Kirk Cameron doing an anti-drug PSA is like Charles Manson doing a PSA against littering. Sure, he doesn't do it, but he's done worse shit.
