Because you reacted to suarez. I also recommend you to react to prime neymar at santos and barcelona. And also i recommend you to react to the msn trio (messi suarez neymar) while still at barcelona.
Suarez vs Norwich was pretty much a bloodbath every time😂 he used to score hattricks on a regular vs them. His first liverpool hattrick was against them too
I think it's fair to say that in the last 10 or so years, out of all the pool of players in that time, he was arguably the third best player. Others will point to Lewandowski, Neymar, Kroos and Modric, which is understandable, but Suarez had so many special qualities and the numbers to back it all up. Having the greatest playmaker setting you up almost every game certainly helps but his world class ability is evident for all to see.
To answer your question, Messi didn't overshadow him. They complemented each other perfectly. I mean literally perfect! These two alongside Neymar at Barcelona were considered by many to be the greatest attacking trio of all time! React to MSN (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) highlights
You put him above Romario? I think he’s below Romario. I would recommend the two videos on Romario by the channel “Futbol Nacional” . Pele (or Messi) top. Then R9, Romario and Van Basten together. Then Muller and Suarez I think. CR7 somewhere there too.
#6 against PSG is still my favorite. First he makes David Luiz look like a training cone. And then he has no right to rifle it in the corner like that but he does it anyway because he's fucking Suarez.
1:50 He , Messi AND Neymar , as well as Iniesta , Xavi, Dani Alves and Ter Stegen were on the same team at a point, you should definitely check some MSN videos[Messi, Suarez, Neymar]
The most dangerous version of Luis Suarez I've seen was when he was in Liverpool 2011-2014. He would score so many incredible goals , Tear the defence up coz he could Dribble and was Quicker in that time. His time in Barcelona was Not far off either. His Quantity of Goals , assists & Aerial Finishing increased but there was a Loss of Dribbling, speed and Agility.
As an argentinian there’s only 2 players that I’ve ever thought “Damn, i wished they were argentinian” just to have them on the national team: Luis Suarez and Luka Modric.
everyone already knew how good suarez was before he played with messi because he had a very successful goal scoring career at Liverpool and other clubs before he joined barcelona also the point you made at 3:15 he was actually notorious for scoring goals against Norwich and think he still has the most goals against norwich out of anyone
Before Suarez went to Barcelona, at Liverpool he was incredible, im not even a Liverpool fan but in the Premier League he was pure class, you mention Norwich, he always played well vs Norwich, he absolutely tortured them
So true! I am a liverpool fan and the club was not anywhere near where they are now. It was just those few years with Suarez bringing his class that we were allowed to dream of silverware. That last season at the club it was crazy. Every Monday needed to show my friends in college (who didn’t follow PL football) the crazy goals Suarez scored that weekend.
@@Koen030NL I remember saying yo Liverpool fan friend of mine that year Gerrard slipped and they blew the title, it was an illusion that Liverpool team isn't a title contender, Luis Suarez is why you got 2nd, he was that good, if Suarez leaves you're screwed, which is what ended up happening, Suarez was so good
@@Koen030NL you weren't bad, but until Jurgen Klopp (im an Arsenal fan and I wanted Klopp to replace Arsene Wenger) you weren't ever a title contender, that was all Jurgen Klopp, i doubt Mo Salah and Sadio Mane (though pretty good already) ever become what they became without Jurgen Klopp
His goal against newcastle where he controls a 60 yard ping on his shoulder, is prolly his best. It's the most difficult pl goal, hands down. First touch with shoulder, sits the keeper down and outside the boot finish, all in 1 fluid motion.
Growing up Suarez was my favorite player My first kit was from him and when i was playing football with my friends i used to try and recreate his goals
Hey Corey As someone who has been a longtime watcher of Suarez I still remember he was a Liverpool player even though I’m a United fan through and through he was exceptional my dad who is a hardcore scouser through and through said Suarez could’ve stayed for another two to three years but makes sense why he left etc I watched him while he was at Ajax all the way to his Barcelona and Atletico Madrid days and imo one of the best strikers to stay neck and neck with Messi and Ronaldo to get top scorer not only the Premier League but also the Eredivisie( Dutch league ) and La Liga but also get the golden boot in all three of those leagues. His Barcelona, Liverpool and Ajax days in my opinion were his absolute best especially when he was part of MSN and even when Neymar left too Suarez and Messi were an unstoppable duo you can even see that duo’s chemistry in the MLS and yeah his gremio and now his inter Miami days you can even see how great his form is even now. Will always be an El Pistolero fan through and through will always have a soft spot for Suarez wish he played for United though instead of Liverpool
So the story of Suarez is that he was playing for Liverpool in the Premier League and he knew he was the best player in his team, and potentially the best player in the entire Premier League during that time. But then in 2014 he moved to Barcelona and he quickly realized he no longer was the best player in the team. Messi was. So Suarez used his talent and experience in order to take a step to the side and try to helo Messi as much as possible. Neymar was in the team at that time as well, so it was what they called the MSN, and the trio won every single trophy in 2015. After that, there was a lot of relaxation around the team since they no longer had much motivation since they already won everything, and got beaten by hungrier teams during those years.
The greatest striker of our generation! Probably the fourth greatest player of our generation too after Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar. Long Live El Pistolero 🔫 💙❤ ✨
I notice Suarez more when he was playing for Liverpool because they were two great players him and Gerrard but that Barcelona side had some many great players like Messi , Neymar , him and the midfielders they had but Its hard to stand out when you have Messi in the team.
In his last year with Liverpool he nearly won them the league on his own eventually finishing two points behind City on a very weak Liverpool team, he also had the highest scoring ratio (0.94) of any player with 30 goals or more in PL history (he also finished second in assists)
Luis Suarez vs Norwich was hilarous. Norwich fans had nightmares about what Suarez did to them. 😂 React to highlights from that battle, amazing goals from him
That goal against Newcastle was filthy good and 100% should be in the top 10. The ball was played from such a distance and what he managed at that speed was simply unreal.
1:56 I’m a Liverpool fan have been since 2009 when I was about 4 and I remember him for his 13/14 season at Liverpool we were bang average and he was still incredible with no Messi. He carried us to 2nd and was joint European golden boot winner with Ronaldo. Think Suarez had less games and no pens so even without Messi he was incredible
He is now with Inter Miami with Messi, his knees does not work anymore though so he is faaar beyond his prime. He needs to inject his knee before every game, and is no longer able to play with his kids at home due to the pain. But damn, he was so fun to watch back in the days.
If you haven’t already you should check out MSN (Messi, neymar, suarez) highlights. The greatest attacking trio of all time (imo) all on one team. It was truly unfair. Love the vids and roll tide, saw you wearing a tide shirt in another vid.
Someone said to you already that Messi, Suarez, Neymar is greatest front 3 of all time, fun fact. Messi and Suarez are currently back together in one team at Inter Miami and Neymar is also rumored to join them.
As a Man United fan i hated how good Suarez was for Liverpool. In his prime he was an absolute machine. The fact he played for Barca and was amazing too was just another annoyance
Messi Neymar and Suarez is the best attacking trio of this century, maybe ever, so you tell me of it's fair x) but it's kind of telling how good he is at free-kicks that he took some free-kicks over Messi and Neymar, who are both kinda "competing" to take it because both deserve to be the designated f-k taker
You have to react to this mini documentary about Maradona's two goals against England in the 1986 World Cup. Why? because anyone who starts watching football must know the story of what happened that day. Hate, war, revenge, football. The most important game in the history. The video is called: "Goles en contexto - Maradona vs Inglaterra" by Octavio Gencarelli (Link bellow) The video is subtitled in English and it's part Spanish, part English. I hope you see it. Trust me, this is going to be the best video in your channel.
Suarez was one of the best strikers in his prime, but he might be the best. Personally, I didn't like him because of his dirty playstyle, but his skills can't be disputed. As for Messi, they fit very well in a team, Messi was a universal player, playmaker and goalscorer at the same time, Suarez was good at finishing attacks. Messi was unique, but he also didn't know one thing, that of passing the ball to himself. Messi and Suarez have been very good friends since then, and they still play together in Miami. Suarez accepted that he couldn't be bigger than Messi, those who didn't accept this, left Barcelona, like, for example, Ibrahimovic or Neymar. Others left because they couldn't develop in Messi's shadow, such as Coutinho or Antoinne Griezmann, for example.
There is an excellent video (unfortunately in Spanish) where the guy makes the point that comparing Cristiano to Messi was just marketing, since no one alive can be compared to Messi, and instead they made a very good comparison of Suarez vs Cristiano, which was a lot more interesting. You get to realize that Suarez is actually not that far from Cristiano in terms of numbers, titles, national team titles and overall skill.
plus the fact cr7 had a team built around him, suarez got similar numbers for barca playing the supporting role for messi, he was barcas benzema until he got turfed out by barca and went and won a spite title at athetico which imo should go down as the most incredible act of trolling ever seen in football, and barca deserved it.
When him and Messi were on the field together we were desperately afraid. What if Luis had slept late and had to rush to the stadium that morning? Did Luis' wife pack his lunch? What if all the running makes Luis feel a little peckish? Messi is a small guy, we could have easily lost him to a distracted Suarez suddenly craving a light snack.
@OneStepMcKinney he was also given an 8 match ban once for using a racial slur against an opposition player. Another highly controversial moment was when he used his hands to prevent a goal from Ghana in the World Cup. Ghana were awarded a penalty kick but that was missed and they got knocked out in the end so Suarez basically single handedly (well, double handedly) stopped what would have been the first African team to reach the World Cup semifinals so the whole of Africa hated him.
