Hey parker I discovered your channel when I was scrolling on shorts and I just fell in love with your reviews and the style you have and most importantly your love for Android man thanks for making such good and chill tech reviews.
The reason why it is charging so slow is because maybe you have the Adaptive Charging on which is a feature so that the phone charges in usual routines where you dont need it for example charging it overnight to extend the battery life. So it basically waits all night till 1 hour before your alarm rings, or like 1 hour before you usually use your phone. Its a pretty smart feature.
@@mensuusxd dude, what I meant was it shows on screen that the phone is charging slowly. There's no way he didn't see that while it was charging slowly and if you want fast charging just turn it off. There's no reason to include adaptive slow charging in this video.

I switched to Pixel (from Samsung) 18 months ago. I bought a 6a. Never going back. I was wanting to "upgrade" to the 8a, but I'm not that fussed by the rounded corners. If you're around 80% on the phone and you have your alarm set it will do a trickle charge by default. If you turn off your alarm it will revert back to fast charge it's a feature that preserves the battery life of the phone. The phone is making the assumption that you put it on the charger for the night.
The manual brightness control (slider) is limited to around 500nits. To get the 1500 or 2000 nits of brightness you have to set it to autobrightness and the phone's AI will decide when you need it and provide it.

Went from Pixel 4a to 8a. i get 12 hours SOT on the 8a. charging truly sucks and yes you need full screen brightness for outdoor sun. Overheating is an issue. Wireless charging is so bad it should not be considered a feature. Hopefully they can address some of these issues in software updates
