No matter what decisions you make in life you will never have 100% of control over it. You only hear about the success stories. You're never shown the majority who fail. Truth be told, it requires money to make money. We have had a minimum of two decades where people have been conditioned to believe that social status doesn't exist anymore. something to keep in mind is that a million today isn't worth much compared to a million 50 years ago. Inflation adjusted, £1,000,000 (net) back in 1974 would be worth around £9,211,726.05 (net) as of September 2024, according to the Bank of England inflation calculator. So, if you're just starting out today and aiming to become a proper millionaire over the course of a working life of around 50 years, theoretically you're probably going to have to aim at being worth 100s of millions (net) by around 2074, to adjust for 50 years worth of inflation (and taxes).

One way of becoming rich is constantly slate fake nattys for lying to their followers and then when you have chance to collab with one of the biggest fake nattys in the industry you decide to throw away your morals.
If everyone is rich, who’s poor? It’s a zero sum game 😂😂😂 It’s a mentality and patience. Every person in the 1st world has at least 2-3 opportunities in life to get rich in their lifetime. The key is to recognize those opportunities and don’t hesitate to execute when the opportunity arrives The trouble is most people don’t or are too afraid to take that risk. That’s reality Not everyone is meant to be rich. Remember, money can’t be destroy. It can only be transferred 😬
People get good at video games because all this stuff they are doing seems fun and its pleasurable for them to do the next thing. If people felt that level of safety fun and pleasure while dealing with the real world theyd be great at it too.

I agree with you. I even saw this first hand with a friend of mine recently. She invested 30k in to Nvidia when it was $10, she has made a lot of money (especially since she lives in Dubai which I believe has no capital gains tax). Yet when she talks about it she says she was telling everyone it was a good idea. Essentially she feels she did her research and knew it was a sure bet. However, she has many trading failures, she doesn't have a trading system, it was luck.

mate, absolutely refreshing to hear! No bs, just real advice amongst all the other noise going on. Absolutely bang on about the pleasure/happiness point too!
It seems that people in the UK think more negatively about the possibility of being rich than in the US. I think this is partly due to low earnings and high tax. This would tend to kill the spirit. Also it seems like the overall culture is different. One aspect is classes are more well defined. People who think they are in the lower class and self identify as such will automatically avoid methods to get rich. If someone was actually in lets say a poorer class but always felt they were upper class and was always looking for ways to improve would likely rise up the ladder.

The best thing I got from Tate, was finding out about you James when you were on the same podcast with him. Since then, I've listened to you more than I've listened to him tbh!
Exactly...if Baddy in business and Sarah make millions of dollars from their online businesses why would they share their idea to others😂 ,they can just make millions from business why bother with selling courses and ideas..same with people selling faceless youtube channel ideas ..same with vidiq ..all cheating people out of their money by telling they will make money online..
Fantastic Video! Really!! Shows how far we've moved on from the Grandiose & Grotesque... I'm building my business atm building myself, Money is great & a vehicle although I've learned I really get off on & feel happy when I'm of use, when I can use my skills & light to solve problems effectively & help people without expectation, I'm a single dad looking to improve my situation for myself & daughters but showing them that happiness & creativity / financial slavery & the 'Hedonic Treadmill' is far more important than likes, follows, fake tan, fake teeth & being fake yourself.
I"d really love to work with you & once I get in the position too, I'd definitely love at least 12 months of 1 to 1 coaching..
What you are doing & saying is admirable, possibly becoming a father gas granted you higher wisdom,
Thank You James, We appreciate You.
"Do not care overly much for wealth or power or fame, or one day you will meet someone who cares for none of these things, and you will realize how poor you have become. "🙂
Thanks James
something to keep in mind is that a million today isn't worth much compared to a million 50 years ago.
Pure knowledge right here!
Confidence tricking is too profitable to not do. Its also impossible to prevent.
I work in a hospital surrounded by £100k consultants and none of them seem happy. In fact no one who works in that God damn place seems happy come to think of it.
Great perspective.
thank you. You opened my eyes by saying the right words at the right time. thank you again.
The realest video on YT.
When the algorithm gets it right! I needed this video 💯
You're best rant ever geeza
Rich people are too busy living life and they don't care about poor people.
I always think of someone regular thinking that they will be a millionare , like it's a pie only a couple of slices , "the family" gets a piece first the pie is gone .
I wont say lucky i call it hard work which is obviously that but my advice to anyone reading this is to grind as hard as possible, doesn't matter how long it takes as long as you get there and there's no excuse cause you're definitely gonna regret it if you listen to this guy
Some good things were said here and many wrong things as well
Mate that Liam Payne joke was uncalled for 💀
James idk if I can speak for that many guys and girls on here but trust me, we know.
Unless they aren’t paying attention they have lived and worked for years, decades, already. Trying very hard, and just like you said, survivorship bias
One way of becoming rich is constantly slate fake nattys for lying to their followers and then when you have chance to collab with one of the biggest fake nattys in the industry you decide to throw away your morals.
If everyone is rich, who’s poor? It’s a zero sum game 😂😂😂
It’s a mentality and patience. Every person in the 1st world has at least 2-3 opportunities in life to get rich in their lifetime.
The key is to recognize those opportunities and don’t hesitate to execute when the opportunity arrives
The trouble is most people don’t or are too afraid to take that risk.
That’s reality
Not everyone is meant to be rich.
Remember, money can’t be destroy. It can only be transferred 😬
People get good at video games because all this stuff they are doing seems fun and its pleasurable for them to do the next thing. If people felt that level of safety fun and pleasure while dealing with the real world theyd be great at it too.
Love the Derren Brown anecdote that is excellent.
Remember to visit the cemetary of promising careers and financial investments.
Its sobering to realize you might be joining the majority of faliures....
Thanks for the honesty it's a refreshing perspective
Cheers mate… this has to be one of the best “motivational” videos I have seen on RUclips
If I hear the word ‘mindset’ in a condescending tone one more time I will scream.
However, she has many trading failures, she doesn't have a trading system, it was luck.
just remember, if you genuinely believe something, it's real
DUDE! “Making it” is literally that… we are the creators, we make it. We’re always making it in one way or another.
Love these authentic takes on concepts. They’re probably more profound than you even realize. Thanks for the mind-food, brother 💙
mate, absolutely refreshing to hear! No bs, just real advice amongst all the other noise going on. Absolutely bang on about the pleasure/happiness point too!
Focus on the proces (getting better) and results will be just a natural consequence
Great video, James. Well done, mate.
Excellent advice.
