If there's anything I've learned from RUclips, it's that everyone talks about how to make money online, but the methods they're teaching aren't how they actually made their money. They make money by selling you the idea of how to make money.

Though I do agree that being in the right place at the right time plays a massive part in one’s success (bill gates and computers being a great example), it is important to remember that just because you weren’t born in the right time for one thing, doesn’t mean you haven’t got other big opportunities to capitalise on that you WERE born in the right time for.
Yes it’s too late to capitalise on computers and phones, but what can you be the pioneer of right now? And what can you make the most of now whilst you have the chance? These are the kinda questions you should ask yourself, and from my own experience these questions will give you all the right answers.

WOW, this resonated with me SO MUCH. Last month I actually had a total burnout from trying to "make it" - I fell for the "millionaire" BS and made myself sick with stress trying to "make it" with my side hustle (which I thought I wanted to make into a million-pound business), while juggling a family (2 young kids), a freelance career and my RUclips channel. I was literally making myself sick - waking up at 4.30 am feeling wired, restless, palpitations, the full works... But I've re-evaulated my priorities in life and thinking patterns (with the help of CBT) and done lots of soul searching... I realised that, as you summed up so eloquently in the video, "making it" doesn't have to mean making millions! I have a freelance career that's going well, helps me contribute to our family's finances, gives me flexibility to prioritise my children, a "side hustle" (my YT channel and my website and my book etc) that I enjoy and keeps me challenged,... Like, fuck, what WAS i thinking??? Your message is really ON POINT. Loved it - everyone needs to watch it and find perspective in their own lives!!!

No matter what decisions you make in life you will never have 100% of control over it. You only hear about the success stories. You're never shown the majority who fail. Truth be told, it requires money to make money. We have had a minimum of two decades where people have been conditioned to believe that social status doesn't exist anymore. It does and it's still alive and well. It's harder to work yourself from the bottom up than someone who started at the top.

something to keep in mind is that a million today isn't worth much compared to a million 50 years ago. Inflation adjusted, £1,000,000 (net) back in 1974 would be worth around £9,211,726.05 (net) as of September 2024, according to the Bank of England inflation calculator.
So, if you're just starting out today and aiming to become a proper millionaire over the course of a working life of around 50 years, theoretically you're probably going to have to aim at being worth 100s of millions (net) by around 2074, to adjust for 50 years worth of inflation (and taxes).

I work in a hospital surrounded by £100k consultants and none of them seem happy. In fact no one who works in that God damn place seems happy come to think of it.

One way of becoming rich is constantly slate fake nattys for lying to their followers and then when you have chance to collab with one of the biggest fake nattys in the industry you decide to throw away your morals.

If everyone is rich, who’s poor? It’s a zero sum game 😂😂😂
It’s a mentality and patience. Every person in the 1st world has at least 2-3 opportunities in life to get rich in their lifetime.
The key is to recognize those opportunities and don’t hesitate to execute when the opportunity arrives
The trouble is most people don’t or are too afraid to take that risk.
    That’s reality
Not everyone is meant to be rich.
Remember, money can’t be destroy. It can only be transferred 😬

People get good at video games because all this stuff they are doing seems fun and its pleasurable for them to do the next thing. If people felt that level of safety fun and pleasure while dealing with the real world theyd be great at it too.

I agree with you. I even saw this first hand with a friend of mine recently. She invested 30k in to Nvidia when it was $10, she has made a lot of money (especially since she lives in Dubai which I believe has no capital gains tax). Yet when she talks about it she says she was telling everyone it was a good idea. Essentially she feels she did her research and knew it was a sure bet. However, she has many trading failures, she doesn't have a trading system, it was luck.

Love these authentic takes on concepts. They’re probably more profound than you even realize. Thanks for the mind-food, brother 💙

It seems that people in the UK think more negatively about the possibility of being rich than in the US. I think this is partly due to low earnings and high tax. This would tend to kill the spirit. Also it seems like the overall culture is different. One aspect is classes are more well defined. People who think they are in the lower class and self identify as such will automatically avoid methods to get rich. If someone was actually in lets say a poorer class but always felt they were upper class and was always looking for ways to improve would likely rise up the ladder.
