Thank you Henry, I picked up the Crewsaver I’m wearing here recently and I’m amazed at how light and compact it is. Weighs half as much as my previous Baltic yet has more buoyancy.
How LUCKY are we to have this on our doorstep!! We are a 3 mile drive from the nearest North Coast cove, and since April have been having an absolute blast! Love the vids, dude, still gotta pop along to Hayle for a sesh where you ventured in the cold times! Went last year but was fishing over the river from where you were, alongside the golf course. Would LOVE to bump into you there, brother. Tight lines, keep the fish and vids coming!
Couldn’t agree with you more, spoilt for choice along the north and south coast. Don’t have to go far from the beaten track to find some really nice marks. The last time I was in Hayle I had some really nice bass from an unusual spot. I will put a post up on my insta detailing soon.
Wow...great safety advice....spot on....please get your sib back....some of the best videos I've seen on you tube...your style and video is superb....well done!!
After getting broken off by a possible double figure bass the other day while lure fishing I’m always with my net, probably not a bad shout if you brought one down too much better chance of landing some of those cracking fish you hooked… great video as always mate throughly enjoyed that 🎣🎣
Nice mark dude 👌🏻 maybe a stiffer more heavier rod next time too 👌🏻 but can’t really get too critical as I have t fished where you are, surprised you weren’t weedless, didn’t snag much! But what a great spot 😎👌🏻
MH rod with a bit more length, and a rating or two higher on the braid and leader would have been the ticket but that’s all part of learning a new mark. Snagging is the part you don’t see on camera 😂 to tell the truth I very rarely fish weedles because once I’ve worked out the depths of a mark I try to keep the lure working a fair ways off the bottom.
Great session. I know the rough area you are fishing and you would definitely benefit from a heavier rod. Most of the county lads myself included use a 2-4oz bass rod with a 7000 size reel & 18lb mono because you have a real chance of a 10lb Pollock there, ive had one at 8lb and you would never stop one that size with a lure rod
Oban on water, i goCornwall and hold the camera for you, you catch big bass, i make good shot everytime. I no swim but always careful. Love videos oban on water
Looks like a very nice place to fish… never been there .. though I’ve always wanted to catch a European sea bass … here in the West Coast ..State Side ,.. we have stripped bass and we fish them the same way …except I use conventional multiplier reels which … which there are not many that use conventional gear anymore.. but I’m old school and have always use these reels.. Nice video..! 🤙😎👍
I’ve fished for strippers a handful of times when docked up in Woods Hole MA, hard to go back to their smaller relatives here in the UK after bagging double figure fish right off the dock.
Good video, but in that situation you absolutely need a long handled landing net. Not right to leave lost fish with lures in their mouth...hope you were fishing barbless...
Why dont you guys be more prepared to land Bass of the rocks you can get extra long landing nets i just dont get it you must lose more fish than you say and the fish can get damaged
totally agree no thought whats so ever why fish a mark hook into a fish and think how the fuck am i going to land it shame gives fishermen and fisher women bad name
Gosh I felt like I was there with you! Fab fish…. Love the bronze pollocks! So pleased to see that life jacket…. Great to see you Oban
Big respect for wearing a lifejacket, nice one and good fishing...........

You need some tungsten studs for your boots lad
Great to see you are back in the county Oban. look forward to more videos while you are here mate
Cheers, I’m actually back to work (at sea) now but I’ll still be uploading.

It's a different style of fishing. Leave him to it.
@@stuntmansynysterhiya. Where is this mark again?
Great video … where exactly were you ?

While trying to swing a big pollock and two mackerel onto the rocks my rod snapped.😟A net would have done the job no doubt.
Thinking of buying a sib for fishing, any recommendations. Much appreciated 👍
Is there any chance of a result asking where you are fishing here,Thanks.
Time to get an extendable net perhaps?
It would need to be a very long one but yes, it certainly would’ve been useful
Is that near Godfrey ?
Great fishing mate , but get some spiked boots and a net 👍🏼
Cheers expert
@@stuntmansynyster i was giving you some genuine advise not being sarcastic ..👌🏼
What you need starts with 'N' and ends with 'ET' 😂
I’ve never used a landing net from the shore but it would certainly have saved some frustration here
Looks more like West Cornwall to me 👀😀
Definitely not north cornwall
Dont understand why you not using a telescopic landing net

Oh bore off
Why fish a mark with no chance of landing a decent fish and pinging off your lure still in the fish....
totally agree needs more thought on landing and returning the fish safely ??
Really poor fish care and no forethought on how you're gonna land the fish. Your videos are usually good so it's a shame.
totally agree no thought whats so ever why fish a mark hook into a fish and think how the fuck am i going to land it shame gives fishermen and fisher women bad name
Really enjoyed the video. One criticism Putting your fingers up through the gills of a fish you plan to release is not great
You mess around too much wind in and stop yapping then talk about the retrieve
Shouldn't really fish where you cant land them ! Sort of pointless.
