This was useful in the war as he could use almost any ammo imaginable, and even after, when he was the Walters' butler, as he could produce his eponymous Hatch's Worth of sandwiches for them at any time. However, after a horrific incident involving lotsa destruction due to his rift, it was discovered that he was leaking deadly radiation from his hatch. He was locked, fully conscious, unable to sleep in a small lead vault on the Walter grounds for many decades, until the newest Walter worked out a way to fix his core. That's why he's so... odd, because he has literally been driven loopy by isolation.

I freaking love Hatchworths voice. His first notes at 1:50 are so amazing. And i love his personality - he's such a hyperactive adorable mustached goof.
Oh, gosh! Rabbit tells the best stories, and the dancing with the glow sticks- so cool! And Hatchy's just the cutest thing! Also, The Spine seems to be loosening up a bit; it's so nice to see him getting his groove on. :D

I've never loved a band as equally as I do SPG. All their characters are so terrifically diverse and so lovely. Even Steve and the Walter girls are just too cute. This is just such a wonderful group of people that found each other (well I guess it was sorta forced for David and Bunny but back to the point) and they are making really great things for the world to enjoy. I really love the way he makes use of breath support. Sometimes he really projects and sometimes he goes all breathy and quiet. I think the contrasts really add atmosphere to some of their numbers. It's a dimension that wasn't really explored previously.
Though both versions of this song are great, I find myself enjoying the live version a bit more. The increasing volume of their voices makes for an entertaining and expressive delivery, and the break about the chest cavity is hilarious as well!
