Without a second thought better engineered and definitely last longer then the garbage built today that's supposed to be strong and last haha yeah right
I'm pretty sure I would not listen to a single other person on the planet talking about rewiring power windows. I noticed I was spell bound and it makes me realize how much I love your brand. Here is hoping I can own one someday. Until then thank you for uploading and sharing, it's always a pleasure to watch.
I Certainly Can Understand Why Van Neistat Built The Shrine, Very Impressive Build Sir. I’m Considering Building A Shrine of My Own !Subscribing was The First Step In The Ritual
Me to the guys: "Yo, I've just spent 300 grand on a truck." The guys: "Cool, what did you get? Bentley Bentayga? Rolls Royce Cullinan? Aston Martin DBX?" Me: "Nah, a Toyota Land Cruiser."
A Rolls Royce, Asston or Bumtly won't get you out of the desert or jungle.. This Vehicle is a Classic Legendry Beast, and Reliable... and is Worth that money...
You can feel the love and the sense of perfectionism that went into this truck. A work of art for those who have the eye to appreciate it! Thank you for sharing.
I love most that you have a working mans hand, paint stained or something. Really emphasizes how passionate you are. Still saving for my 74 FJ40 to be done by you.
As usual, another masterpiece of reverse engineering. Thank you Jonathan for sharing your passion and the passion of ICON. Its where old meets new and interestingly intertwined.🤘👌👏
Van sent me. I actually want you to tell us even more nitty gritty details! Mos def a 140 in my future. Love how you know EVERYTHING about these trucks. And how you make your own improved harness! And meters!! And gas tank!!! And spare tire carrier!!!! Impressive. Wowwowowowowow.
Another Van Neistat/Spirited Man carry over. As an Australian I truly appreciate an all-out, no corners-cut, to-hell-with-the-cost restoration attitude, even if the Californian obsession with old Toyotas is messing up affordability locally (we already had a 'Toyota Tax'). What a gorgeous 4WD. But I think to achieve true excellence and break the internet with a collective Toyorgasm, do a "Spirited Man" model with a twin-turbo V8 diesel from an Aus-spec 200-series aka. the only proper engine for such a vehicle. Possibly a bit rich to loan to him to complete the Panama trip, but letting Van drive about in it for half an hour, and produce a video of a grown man gurgling in absolute pleasure would be a helluva advertisement ;-)
Hi Johnathan, thank you for sharing this. What a work of art you have created. An amazing vehicle I must say. I drive a 2000 100 series and I never thought I would yearn for a 62 but this is just over the top in quality and love. Thanks for posting this video!
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful legacy with us! I also appreciate the explanation of the slowdown at TLC. Although you have more lateral movement at ICON, keep the TLC brand Restos coming too! Great work Jonathan!!
Wow, absolutely amazing! I used to have a 1984 BJ60 in the same color. About the only similarity to this and mine, is the color and bodystyle (except of course mine had the cool round headlights and older style dash). This is a beautiful truck, I would totally drive it, if it was in my price range! Though I'd love it with a modern turbo diesel.
Congrats!. And congrats again brother, because you are " Artistically well done, and you've been done an accurate's job!. I liked it, if you wanna change your mind, guest what I am interested!..
Beautiful truck. Why tease me with the beautiful center console. I just got off the phone with your parts dept. I was told that it is a one off. Bring it to market. So much better than the Tuffy.
Taking out all the reliable parts from Toyota with made a Land Cruiser and putting in GM parts the breakdown on the road and leave you stranded. It is a nice looking vehicle what you have done.
Hello Jonathan, You have excelled at the resto-mod of Landcruisers, Broncos, etc, but have you considered similar treatment of an International Scout or even a Nissan Patrol ?
He’s addressed the Scout, before, and noted they’re rarely in restorable condition. And the Patrol wasn’t available in the US after 1969, until it was brought back in 2011.
Curious as to why the customer didn’t want the Art Morrison frame and suspension? Still an engineering marvel which reflects the price. Incredible build. 👍

yup 100%
Just wish it had a diesel instead of an LS.

Same.
The Spirited Man wants this. See van neistat' channel to see a man who, like art, describes his desire to acquire this vehicle.

Thanks for sending me here Van
I never get tired of him geeking out over his vehicles. 🥰 love when people are passionate about their work.
His passion for excellence is what puts TLC and ICON at the tip top of the industry. I enjoy every one of these videos.

Spirited Man :)
Knew Icon and Jonathan but Van Neistat made me discover TLC as for many others it seems. Let’s make the spirited man get his stage 3 LC!

The people who buy this have 100x the money we have. So it's $3,000 to them.
Now let’s go beat it to death in the woods!
It makes me happy that there are people with that amount of cash that’s does this instead of buying something new

This is spectacular. Save me one, I’m buying Lotto tickets right now.
