Gen x here. My sister & I were raised around them. They werent locked up. My dad made us aware of the danger & if we wanted to look at them or shoot them, all we had to do was ask for assistance. They were never a mystery to us. But that was many years ago, before our sick culture started glorifying them. Our society is lost. 😢
@naturelover2292 yet I know some that own them. And when I was 14 my 2 best friends both had access to their dad's guns and knew how to handle them and also had some of their own.
Blessed be thy name Father, lord please give this family peace and strength during this difficult time, Father accept your child back into your loving arms Father, I ask you hold this family together with your strength, love, and guidance 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Families please keep your guns locked away, it horrible a child could just find a gun in the streets! I kinda think it was a stolen gun used and then tossed, obviously I don’t know that for sure, but I do know one stolen gun can be traced back to multiple crimes over a period of years! My brother is DEA and it’s shocking to hear the history of one stolen firearm! KEEP YOUR GUNS OUT OF THE HANDS OF CHILDREN!!🥲🤬
In effect, by beating around the bush, what you are saying is the firearm was not registered to anyone in the house and there is a mystery as to where it belongs.
this is bs if there was some type of class in school that taught the dangers of guns an other stuff included this wouldn't happen an how the hell could you not know there was a gun in your home
@@mischaraine1645 well , it's the parents job to figure it out. Watching who your kids friends are is important. Idk , but I did it with mine. They call me the probation officer and laugh about it today. I had all their teachers email addresses , knew their friends , I treated them like my own. If they were hanging out with people I didn't think were appropriate I stopped the relationship. I get that things happen that parents can't control but we just do our best 🤷. Used to be the community knew who's kids belonged to who , parents used to look out for each other's kids & showed up to discuss any issues that arose. It's not like that any more. Sad. America was lost a long time ago imo.
@@mischaraine1645 I understand that. But let’s be honest here he’s a 14 year old kid who killed an 11 year old kid that was his brother while playing with a gun. I’m sure at 14 if I found a gun I’d be messing with it too. It’s highly unlikely he planned any of it. Law enforcement officers will look through cell phone records, social media, interviewing friends and family, anything to find any tangible evidence if it wasn’t an accident. If it was indeed an accident I hope they don’t charge him. His life is already ruined at such a young age it’s just wrong to ruin it more with 10 years in prison on a manslaughter charge.
I understand. The crime would be manslaughter. I get it, I just disagree that prosecuting a child would be helpful to anyone. Legally obviously he’s guilty. Morally I don’t think it would be right to throw him in prison for 10 years and make him a felon.
Killed his brother with a gun that wasn't owned by the parent? Yeah, you better trace back to how he got this gun.
That poor mama.
14 is way old enough to know better and this is the age of all of the shootings around the bay area...
Prayers for this family during this difficult time
This was a well-crafted update delivered with sensitivity and diplomacy but still providing answers. This is a well versed officer
Sad thing, but he has had to do this many, many times .
He "found" the firearm? I find it hard to believe
Me too! He saw it in an unlocked car and helped himself to it. Or he bought it for a couple hamburgers.
Jesus Christ please touch this situation in every way . Thank You. Amen
That poor mother!
Terrible shame for such a loss.
Poor kid he’s going to have a hard time dealing with that hopefully he get’s some help so sad 😢🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Prayers go out to this family. 🙏
God bless. So sorry.
Of course Mom was in a accident trying to get home you try driving upset. Sad
😂
It’s too low. I can’t hear.
No accident. 14 year old should know not only NOT TO TOUCH A GUN but NOT to aim it at anyone! Who loaded the gun???! See? No accident!
Plenty of 14 year Olds can handle guns responsibly. And yes they understand what it is and what it does. No accident.
Found it in an alley

Kids today suck.
The parents too in most of these cases.

Odds are its no accident the boy was shot. It was most likely out of some emotional disturbance... May the boys confess as to what actually happened.
💔💔💔💔
No god bless the family. And look after them.
RIP amir. Kemoni ain’t mean no wrong he always loved u. We love you mir and kemoni 🙏
hold parents accountable.
Why? They did not have a gun in the house. The teenager said he found it somewhere.
@@jenniferb2164they're still responsible for their children. Supervision

Let me understand this headline. A child killed a press conference?
😥😥😥🙏🙏🙏
Heartbreaking nut unfortunately the teen must be punished. If he found it he toke it home & hid it. RIP angel 😇

Horrible
It was probably in a school building this week also
RIHP LITTLE PRINCE BLESSINGS TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS PEACE GIVE THEM STRENGTH MY LORD
How did he get the gun?
Watch the video with the sound on.
@@GardenDude1How'd the gun get in the home???
Probably he steal the gun or stole,
I hope the press conference is ok!
If the gun turns out to have been stolen from an unlocked vehicle, the gun owner should be held with some responsibility for being so irresponsible
Shouldn't it be the responsibility of the thief?
What about the one who stole it? Stealing is a crime? Duhhhh😂😂
@@mvpd98yes!!! Some people don’t get it, or they don’t want gun owners like me to have myself protection.
That’s so sad. I hope the da doesn’t prosecute the child. He already has to live with accidentally killing his brother. He doesn’t need anymore grief.
YOU DON’T KNOW THE MOTIVE!!! Be quiet.
I’m pretty sure it would be a different story if law enforcement believed he tried to murder his brother. I really doubt he did
