More over, it's been relatively easy to come across (in my daily research findings) examples of failures of this autocratic system (wherein power is consolidated by one person at the top[Putin]).
Thereby, creating a system where people within that system are afraid to speak truth to power - an inability for Russian Henchmen/Oligarchs to communicate to the Person at the top - openly, about the critical (pernicious) issues facing their country economically, militarily and technologically.
ie. An increasingly isolated and unaware Vladimir 'Presitator' Putin.

I love how Russian late night talk hosts talk of the Russian Empire as it still exists today. Apart from Alaska (which everyone knows) they did have a small base in Hawaii & couple of small bases on the US west coast. Maybe the way to solve the impasse in Congress is to present a bill to rebuild our defense industry, with emphasis on ensuring our ability to upgrade our allies' militaries. And what happens to our allies' militaries' old gear ... is not our business.
That ALREADY is the bill that was presented. Speaker johnson prefers tgat even the red states who eould benefit from the billions of investment from the bill to be starved so that his daddy trump can play besties with putin.

@@myBestWishes677 It's not an excuse on my part. That seems like a way to break through the impasse and get supplies to Ukraine by way of our allies. They're already working to supply Ukraine, but they could do it faster if we backfilled everything they supplied.

One that you have omitted is "The Partition Treaty on the Status and Conditions of the Black Sea Fleet" of 1997, in which ruzzia not only agrees to the sovereignty of Ukraine, but also agrees not to interfere in the internal affairs of Ukraine.

I saw a green plane like that in a museum restoration center in Washington State. It's interesting to look at planes designed before electronics, actuators, etc. Everything was a crank, lever, or pull knob. It's almost like Folk Art.

The An-2 is the most reliable utility aircraft in Russian service. They didn't have to pull one out of the bone-yard as they're still in frontline service.
Patriot missiles are at least as important as the systems themselves and they are expensive and in short supply. There is probably a shortage of missiles for older systems too. In addition there is probably a lack of man portable systems too from a clip we have seen recently.

Sorry, Juzzie! But the russian Shahed136's are using cheap chinese MADO MD550 engines (4-cylinder, 2-stroke, boxer) which can develope 10-50hp, not an MDR208 rotary engine! If you zoom in you can see 2 out of 4 cylinders and all 4 exhausts. The MDR208 has only one exhaust and no such cylinders ...
