Hey Bane, Enjoyed the video. I had to chuckle when you said some like, “OK, that one may have wanted to eat me.” One of my long-term goals is to ride at least a mile in every county in Kentucky, which I plan to kick into high gear, when I retire from my full-time job later next year. It looks like this route would be right up my alley. Maybe you”d be interested in providing a riding tour on the Kentucky Cycling RUclips channel for a little cross channel promotion? I was also interested to hear you say that your touring drop bar bike was more comfortable than your MTB. I’m sure there are things you can do to make your MTB just as comfortable. My gravel/bikepacking bike is essentially a rigid MTB and I gained a lot of comfort by swapping out my handlebar for a Surly Moloko Bar, which is a beat alt bar that offers positions and a very comfortable position. You might be interested in checking out the video on my channel on it.
@@KentuckyCycling I’ll definitely check it out, if I haven’t seen it already lol (I can’t keep up) The mtn bike is still stock, seat and every thing. New seat and maybe a bit of a rise on the bars is probably needed. I’m literally in the garage right now mounting a rack and fitting bags on it! Yea, I’d definitely been down to ride and do some cross promoting!
As far as RUclips channels, started out watching Path Less Pedaled when they riding full time,Three Wheel Journey and Bicycle Touring Pro probably about ten years ago. Then shortly after Ryan Van Duzer when his channel was in his infancy. As far as current bicycle touring channels, you of course. You’re one of my favorite channels along with Ryan Van Duzer. I do enjoy watching some RUclips bicycle mechanic channels as well. Unfortunately Darren of Bicycle Touring Pro is no longer in the business. And Dave from Three Wheel Journey has seemed to just disappeared.

Mid Ohio here. I feel your pain. Rode last weekend, froze my butt off. Still feels good to get out, but riding in the cold, only on the weekends is painful. Any video upload in the winter mths is refreshing to watch. At least someone is out there riding!
I was expecting you to say the MTB was more comfortable. Now you got me thinking I need a drop bar gravel bike again! I watch too many on RUclips to mention, but anyone who tours watches the same people. It looked much colder than how you were dressed, and yes headwinds strangely enough follow me around also. At least it seems that way. Another great video👍🏼
Never heard of the pumpkin house until now! Looked it up and read the history. Interesting. I ride (rail trail/MTB) and hike year 'round along with regular strength training and yoga.
