Who would like to try this neat macro trick?
Meee! I was always taught never to play with matches though :(
Wise advice!
Excellent vid as always, Andy. Especially enjoyed the editing in this one!
Thanks, John, much appreciated!
Thanks for this great idea and excellent tutorial Andrew. I will give it a try. It was good to see the pile of matches as a reminder that it takes perseverance to get it right!
In the end I photographed some candle flames and snuffed one out for the smoke. It took a while but I got there. Thanks again for the idea.
Thank you very enjoyable good and result the close-up of your match when you was doing the charcoal work actually took me back to the summer the sausages on my barbecue and once again thank you look forward to the next one
Haha, thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Andrew, another cracking video. Concept was great and the result was very nice. Really enjoyed the edit.
Thank you, Gary!
I was inspired by your video and gave it a shot. My first time editing double exposure. Turned out great I feel for my first try.
I had a lot of fun watching you... nice tips and tricks!
Thank you!!
Andrew what a great tutorial. I will soon be using my new Laowa 100 mm to take a picture of a small flame. Great inspiration. Thanks for your effort.
Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed watching it, and good luck with getting your own shots!
Andrew I tried but with a very small candle and I managed to make a special photo of it. You have had an inspiring effect on me and my Canon D90 / Laowa 100mm. My family is crazy about all burned out matches and candles. But I just keep going to get even more out of it.
Thank you for your humble, wonderful and educational tutorial.
Good pace for beginners. thx!
Great Tutorial,thank you!
Very interesting, and I really like the result!!
Thank you!
Nice.only one question.you have all this gear and you are not using a remote for the shutter.isn’t this produce a vibration?
Amazing and very detailed, and great photo thank you 🌹
Thank you so much for watching!
we need lots of matches, lots of fun
Very interesting, and I really like the result. I'll definitely give this a try 😊👍
Thanks Markus!

Interesting subject Great lessons and tips
I really enjoyed it, Nice work,,
thank you,very nicely done
Nice tutorial. On my monitor I see banding in the background so are you in 16 bit mode?
Thanks!
Liked and subscribed, wow. I wish I could have the time to learn Photoshop, it looks so easy when PRO´s like you use it. Great video and great result! I will try macro with my extension tubes, (I never used them 🙈)
Thanks so much! Hopefully this video has given some easy pointers on how to do similar things yourself. I found Photoshop baffling when I first started years ago but it was only by reading guides and watching tutorial videos that I was able to learn new skills and practice them to understand more what I'm doing. Practice makes perfect!
You are absolutley right! Thank god for RUclips that can help almost evereyone with everything 🙏👌
Thanks Andrew for sharing, would add the link in Amazon for Macro Extension plz & do you think it can work with Canon d90?
same with me mr, i like take photo when in burn my garbage
why don't you use a shutter release cable so your not touching the camera while your shooting?
Great video, some easy fun with a camera, and something to do when lost for ideas, or stuck indoors. You win a like and subscribe :-)
Thanks Jim, that's a prize I'll gladly take!
1:35 where did u get this small head with clamp on small tripod? Thanks
Bro what is your cam and what lens and what macro lenses? To shoot macro from far it is best lense or better is there to shoot from far but big macro?
I have iphone and macro lens but it needs 2cm it is to close to shoot burning matches so what i need to shoot from far?
Fly in the ointment here but as a 68 year old, new to photography and therefore to Lightroom and Photoshop, I find the speed with which you jump from place to place with the cursor very hard to keep up with. Of course I can replay and replay but that kind of takes the enjoyment out of the moment .
When the cursor seems to simply disappear, it might take a good while to see it move again or to see it's position. I did write to you once before asking for help for absolute beginners but have heard nothing back from you.
Perhaps a response to this one??
Mant thanks.
i better master PS than my camera
dude trying to get in your videos but your endless comentry is a big hazard...i gave up because after spending 10 precious minutes you were still there where you started..nearly 30 minutes for showing up this kind of macro shot is too much...trust me you could have more views and followers if you focus to deliver the information in least time..this video would be worth watching if its max duration was arrond three minutes..take this as a suggestion only, rest is entirely up to you..
Sounds like it's not the video for you then, but thanks for giving it a try!
