  • The Castlerigg Stone Circle is in a picturesque landscape outside of Keswick, Cumbria, England. We'll look at its unique features, look for clues to the castle of the Derwentwaters, as well as explore the rich history of the axe industry and roman occupation in the region. We will also look at recent archeological find in the area of the stone circle.

    Me and my friends visited Long Meg and Castlerigg in July last year. I loved both sites. it was a really cool experience

    Really informative video guys. Plenty to learn about and we love the Lake District and visit as often as we can. So this is great to know and learn more about the areas that we like to go and see. Visiting just for sunrise or sunset really is the spot on time of day to see Castle Rigg Stone Circle. So stunning and the history is lovely to learn about too. 👍

    In my youth a bit over fifty years ago I visited this circle during one of several visits to the lake district. I now live in Australia so a revisit is unlikely. Nice to see it again.

    I think this monument is much truer to Stonehenge than thornhenge in Yorkshire

    we khasis tribe have lot of monolith like these type that our forefather bulit it just kindly do research in our khasi tribe monolith might be the same
