I just came back from Isla Bella today. It was nice overall but not for me... This was a more relaxed resort with a few less things to do than other resorts. Also there were no hot tubs (I enjoy hot tubs even when it's pretty hot outside.) The hotel restaurant was basically a rip off for standard food. My family ordered salads and pizzas and the bill came to $178 dollars, so we didn't make the mistake eating there again. (We disliked the food but that's just our opinion.) Other than that stuff it was amazing! That had to have been one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in, the restaurants around the area was amazing with extremely high ratings. Overall the hotel room and food (Not in the hotel) but different restaurant food was definitely a 5. Also can't forget about the views. Going along the 7 mile bridge was beautiful, it was a nice feeling knowing nothing else is around you except water. In the end, if you're planning on going to the keys (Or near the keys) choose Isla Bella. We went to key west but left in a heartbeat, it's so chaotic and stressful there.
Yeah, the restaurant pricing I can imagine would be a little pricey. We had two pizzas which we enjoyed but they were on the pricey side. Thanks for commenting and sharing your experience.
This was a really thorough and helpful video review that gave a very nice overview of the resort. However, your background music was way too loud, it drowned out much of your commentary and made you sound like you were just mumbling in the background. If you fixed the sound levels, this would be a 5/5-star video review.
Great question, we only used the pool in front of our building but I would ask or try to use the others. Not sure if they only provide access to the one near your building. Enjoy!
Thx for the vid! I just booked my husband and I for end of March. I hope it's swimming weather. This will be our first trip to Marathon. Looks perfect for beach time and relaxation. I'm reading everywhere that the Isla B restaurants are super expensive and so-so food. Are there other closeby restaurants outside of the resort?
Donna Krstec yes, there’s a few. We used yelp to find the ones with the best reviews. I would suggest trying the yelp app to find nearby restaurants that provide the type of food you like. We had breakfast at the “7 miler” restaurant and it was perfect! Service and food quality was great. We also had dinner at Castaway, not bad and rated very well. They offer an assortment of food and it was affordable. Hope this helps, enjoy your vacation in March!
Love it honeymoons planning

Nice review. We go to marathon every year and stay at the Glunz. After this review we will be trying this place out. It looks very clean and quiet !
Thank you. We absolutely loved it!
Hi Thanks for sharing. Looks beautiful. Loved your review. Only wish it was without music so that we could hear your review of the facility.
Marathon is not a key. It is a city. It is on Vaca key.
Do they have a beach part to go in for a swim
?
joshi7405 yes they do, in my video you’ll see a few beach pics
Yes

WisGuy4 thank you! I’ll work on that.
How was the restuarants food and drinks?
We only had the pizza there which was fantastic! We ate at local restaurants nearby. Food at local restaurants was fantastic and reasonably priced.
Can we access all the pools?

@@DEEJAYGEEOOO thank you for the information
Can people who live in Marathon come see the resort? We have lived here 35 yrs. Owned music store. I am retired teacher, musician. Linda Lee Byars
I would contact the resort to see if they’ll allow for a tour of the property.
how was the weather at the time you went? Im looking to go to this resort in February
The weather was great! High 70’s to mid 80’s. I suspect it will be equally as nice in February.
