Yes you have to remove the flywheel if you need to get to the crankshaft bearing which is on the side of the flywheel. All others bearing, including the gearbox ones, are accessible without removing the flywheel

The thread of what ? I put all the dimensions needed on the video. I think the thread of the crankshaft is a M12 metric fine pitch thread :)
