It feels like a director told narrator to go way over the top for one take, just to warm up for the real take. Then they kept it in, voice cracks and all. I love it.
I feel like his voice cracks are intentional for an added bit of self-awareness
The narrator actually reminds me of old commercials. I think that's why I love it so much.

They must've noticed that the over the top narration in one of the Luigi's mansion 2 HD trailers got a lot of positive feedback. Great and fun stuff without a doubt. 😄

I think he did a good job but WHY did they go with that for the final version of the trailer???? It honestly got annoying for me after a minute or two 😂
The best part about this narration is that it sounds like the guy that always narrates, but they just let him go to town
I love how they changed the green and red shell, the Green shell is a multi attack (and can only hit ground enemies), and Red shell is one strong hit (and it can hit flying enemies). I'm glad they made them different
Apparently the green shell was different from the red shell in previous games too. The green shell would randomly hit different enemies (if there were multiple), and the red shell only hit the enemy it targeted. I only just learned this from the last Brothership trailer
@@Glitchyy07actually Depth came into effect with red shell, it wouldn't hit it's target if something else was in front of it

@@Glitchyy07 I know in Partners in Time, the green shell targeted one enemy and had limited number of hits while the red shell went on until you messed up and targeted the next enemy mid-attack if the original target was defeated
I guess that's one way to make them different...especially since they're not kicking the shell at the enemies, but back and forth.
So it's only the finisher that's different.

It wasn’t that weird we didn’t get this until now. Obviously their focus was on Echoes of Wisdom. Now that that’s out, it’s time to focus on Brothership.
For some reason the “Echoes of Wisdom” text is highlighted with blue and has a magnifying glass indicating you can search more about EoS. Is this new?

They fixed the only thing I hated in the previous games. Luigi being stuck one inch behind Mario. Now, it looks like he can break away and gather stuff and help with puzzles. Best idea ever!

I'm like not even a big fan of Mario and luigi games but every single thing I've seen about this game looks amazing. The animations and timing looks so satisfying, and the graphical style is fanstastic.
Same here. I'm not an fan of the series either. Aside from Superstar Saga & Bowser's Inside Story. But this looks incredible and I might get this game just for continuity of the Mario RPG renaissance.
Both of yall need to play more M&L games, it very well may be the best Mario series

@@Rad0115 I've played Super Star, and a bit of Bowser's inside story. I liked them and they seem fine but personally they don't click with me as much as Paper Mario. I get that it's probably just a me thing, I don't know what else to say.

Legitimately, the voice overs for a lot of Nintendo games on the Switch sound like people who do not care about the game or just being excited about the read.
This is outstanding for this game. It's pushing over the top, and I think that's how the feel of this kind of Mario game should be.
So many people ever since like ps3 era have said “wow this is so realistic its what I always imagined games could look like!”
That’s fine and all, but this, this is what I always imagined games could look like. Its beautiful. So wiggly and jiggly, so colorful, so energetically stylized. Its just pure joy.
When i was younger I hated this style, I was too cool and edgy, and now that I'm 35, I love this style. Don't get me wrong, I love a graphical marvel, ex. Horizon forbidden west, but this right here is amazing. This kinda style is what I prefer. It's just so much more alive imo.

I can’t stop absolutely admiring that one animation from Bowser; it’s so damn good. The squish and stretch is hilarious and quality.

This trailer is a complete opposite of what we would get at one decade ago. The period where Mario became so corporate really sucked, and I’m glad Nintendo has embraced Mario‘s weird side.
Ah yes the "The Super Mario [insert epitaph] Game" era. i feel from Odyssey onwards they've been mostly embracing what Mario is. Fun.
I love how this game looks silly and fun, like a good Saturday morning cartoon.

Being able to finally see the visuals look exactly how they intended it to look like in-game is a great step forward! 😃
The pixel art was nice and all but seeing Masanori Sato's box art come to life is just something else.
🙏 I just wish that if the Switch 2 is pretty much the OG Switch with better hardware, they'd create an "enhanced" patch for this game -- there are some textures that make the game look like an emulated 3DS game. 🙏

i love the narration so much, theres no pretense, no reservations, its achingly sincere. Theyre not hiding behind some sly ironic "oh wow hes right behind me isnt he ;)" Its just there and its happy to be itself

This game feels like what we've been wanting. . . from PAPER mario. . . ***FOR YEARS NOW!!!*** LITERAL years.
The only thing that's missing is an actual party system. You have a partner system, which is close, but not the same as a party system.
Trust me, this game is also what us Mario & Luigi fans want to get for over a decade now.

21:00 It seems like some of the “minigame segments” might be replaced with Luigi Logic, so it’s still a bit of a speed bump but remedied by a short Luigi demo instead of the partner’s idea>explanation>demo>practice

Narrator is talking like it's a preview for an upcoming episode of a saturday morning cartoon, and I'm all about it.
That Mario&Luigi ball reminds me of a Pokeball.
My only concern with this game is the way the islands are discovered. Having the ability to maneuver the ship and discover islands when you choose makes me feel like they want to the game to be less linear (which is fine), but if the whole plot is "Bring the island back together" however you choose and at a certain number of conquered islands a story beat happens, that creates a real disconnect between the gameplay and story. I'd much rather the game tell me "Go here. Explore. Do story. Now go here . Explore. Do story." and have the two work in tandem rather than the game say "Hey it's been 4 hours, uhh SOMETHINGS HAPPENING!".
Other than that, I can't wait! I love this series and will be buying DAY 1!
i do think the way they handled ship travel makes sense, based on some hands on impressions ive watched
while your ship is traveling, that's basically your time to shop and talk to npcs on your ship and start sidequests etc. and i think having to do more in depth ship travel while having that going on would be a bit too busy

I do wonder if Bowser will be the final boss here or not...since in Dream Team there was a new antagonist that teams up with Bowser, but it turns out at the very end Bowser ditches him so he could have the power all to himself. So you end up fighting Bowser as the final boss. So yeah, I'm just wondering if they'll do something like that again...honestly I'm fine with it since there was still a new antagonist in the game, so, whatever...I liked that plot-twist at the end, too. xD

I was onboard before never really played a Mario and Luigi game but it definetly realed me in but this trailer sold it HARD. I am genuinely excited for this game.
I really think you should play Dream Team, It’s my favorite (maybe because it was my first but I don’t care) although it doesn’t have the best pacing, the beginning is very tutorial/y more than normal but I still think the game is fun

This game looks like it will reference every previous game in the series. Not only is Starlow back but this time together with Peach, but you can also see a statue of that block guy from Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team and in one of the previews you can even see a mini island in the form of a Shroobs from partners in time
When some of the Bros attacks hit, you can see the camera focusing only on the enemies, standing on a horinzontal straight line, that's totally a nod to classic old JRPG, Dragon Quest especially.
Arlo being a voice actor would be AWESOME!!!!!

The some "mini-games" actually look more like puzzle solving to me, and some look like they are more like "okay this is blocks so we need to find away around". I never played a Mario and Luigi game but this looks like it would be fun to play
