Awesome, best thing about your guides is that even though you show it on a dummy you can follow it in a real raid setting. With most guides on the forums they give you such strict set in stone rotations to follow that they're simply not practical to follow anywhere but on a training dummy. You've helped me massively to enjoy specs that i previously hated, cheers bro!
+Welsheh Extremely glad to hear that. That's the whole idea behind these guides, to help players enjoy their Rift gaming experience more. So I'm really glad they help you! Thanks for the kudos, and please let me know if you have questions or anything!
Perfect! I have been waiting for this. You have the best build videos on the Net. Keep it up :)
+Kevin St.Clair Thanks! I hope its helpful =)
Quality Video! Would love to see a titan one though :D
+rickrolled1220 Absolutely, Titan's coming up pretty soon, got a few others to do still though. Got back to work on a big project I started a while back, so I'm actually behind on Riftblade, which is next. Titan will be coming your way soon though!
Alrighty, so I got around to practicing this a bit, and I think I've come up with a couple little pointers and thought I'd jot them down before I forget when I try to explain to you later lol. At the start, by using your opener macro 3x, you're using one of your air cutters. So after Whirling > Twister > Lashing > Air Cutter x2 (instead of 3) > Seismic > Lashing > Air Cutter x3 > Earthfall seems to work better for me. maybe I'm doing something wrong here though. Also, I don't see the point of the Seismic Smash just before Whirling Dervish if you're not going to use the Air Cutters (this is where you're doing the 1>2 dance) But after looking at the skill tree, I'm assuming you do this because of the Tremor stacks? which i'll admit, I don't fully understand the tooltips.
Are you going to be making up a Berserker guide any time soon?
+Jesse Laughlin Yea, I have it on the list. I've been taking it easy for a bit, but I'm hoping to have some more releases coming with 3.6, to ensure nothing changes with the guides I have planned.
with the new expansion, would you recommend using legendary molten wave and then going for the max fury legendary earthfall? or is the 75% bonus damage to earth abilities not really worth breaking the rotation for?
I'll be honest with you, I haven't had a lot of time to play lately, and just recently got a chance to really experiment and start up the ol' theory craft bus. That said, at quick glance, I'd bet that using a rotation that included a 3s molten wave channel to get a 75% bonus to a 100 Fury Earthfall is something I would definitely look into as promising. I'm currently working on rogue, but as we get further in the expansion I'll be doing more stuff for the community so stay tuned. =)
awesome, thanks for the input
Really stupid question but I havent played in a while and I didnt buy the primalist pack, but why does it only go up to 31 in the soul tree and not 61?
+CptFluffles1043 Trion came out and made a statement that the majority of the soul trees had too many "fluff" talents like "increases damage by 1% per point" or "increases finisher damage by 5% per point". So they opted to give the base Primalist all those things by default, and reduce the amount of points that need to be spent for a build to 39 total (31 per soul, and up to 8 to distribute between the off souls).
By doing this, most of the talents each soul has involve some sort of unique interaction, versus the generic damage increases. I'm not so sure it was a good idea to just do one soul like that, but I assume if they introduce any other callings later on, they will probably use the new 31 point system, if I had to guess.
Hope that answers your question =)
ChamberDown Perfectly answered and thanks for writing such a lengthy explanation, I appreciate it. Thanks so much:)
+CptFluffles1043 You're very welcome.
so most of the skills have change or i saw wrong?
+Gustavo Ramirez I'm not sure what you mean? None of the skills have changed other than during the initial testing before the soul was released. After this Dervish did receive a few balance tweaks but is largely the same since it rolled out in 3.4
+ChamberDown you say lashing winds build cunning but it dosent
You mean Air Cutter? I say that you use Air Cutter when you build cunning, because your earth abilities give you 20-40 cunning, and your Air Cutter gives 10 Fury, so if you alternate, you will inevitably move the bar to cunning. I'll go back and check real quick.
Ok yea, so watch at 4:53, I talk about using earth ability and Lashing Wind to build Fury, or an earth ability and Air Cutter to build cunning. Both Air Cutter and Lashing Wind build fury, however Air Cutter only builds 10 allowing for Earth abilties to overtake it to Cunning, and Lashing Wind builds 40, allowing it to overtake it to Fury.
Hope that makes sense.
+ChamberDown yeah neverm, ind xD i was to sleepy! ty for the guide! ill have to see it like a million times to get the rotation right
yo fam is that really a T-2 Procing 2 hand when your stats are that shit X'D
+GreenDove WelcomeToTheNest Nope hehe. It's a T1 healing relic upgraded from Izkinra. It's rather terrible really, it just looks fancy in the gear breakdown picture =D. I ran exactly 1 Mount Sharax on the Primalist a bit after Primalist release, and picked up that weapon that run, and a heart in a later Rhen of Fate the next day I believe. For a while I was trying pretty hard to gear all 5 of my toons, but that proves difficult for sure! =)
+ChamberDown yeah i understand the pain of trying to gear all 5 toons for sure, ive been raiding for maybe 2 months now and ive only got my rouge and primal too 1400+ hit, everything else is still kind of lacking, Love your guides keep them coming for sure!!!!!
the rotation isnt terribly hard he says. proceeds to do like a 20 step rotation. yeah not hard at all.
