He's the only poop related channel I'm subscribed to, I swear. This is now officially the worst joke I've ever made... also I'm happy to see a fellow Terry here.
3:56 i always though the water came out of the bottom of the dam cos that's where the highest pressure is. water coming over the top was the spillway to control the excess build up of water.
My mind goes back to that video of a Japanese racing bike which was purpose built to just go left in a circular flat race track and the special tires they have. This bike with a 400cc engine just handily defeats everything else being 1000 cc MotoGP bikes.
I did a lil bit of water treament in my past engineering time and I'm certain that even in the most remote of districts poo water goes through some treatment stages, and a series of settling ponds before it goes back to the rivers and waterways... althoug some textile companies would release blue die-water into the rivers untreated and cabbages growing along the river would grow with visibly blue veins...
No, not always it depends on a lot of factors. In my home city, we have shared storm-water & sewage pipes which means whenever there is a huge storm, raw untreated sewage is piped directly into the adjacent lake to avoid overflowing the system. In remote areas people have their own personal septic tank which they either let slowly drain under vegetated lawns so that natural bacteria, fungi & plants detox it before it reaches waterways, or they pay to have it pumped & taken away to a proper sewage system.
I do worry about RCE's fascination of poop, efficient shaped objects and what not, I do worry about the things he's designed as a civil engineering. I wonder if he's a CEO of a water company in the UK? 😅
Hi, you forgot how air pressure works for the air pollution. By making the mountain, you made a low pressure zone that sucks in the high pressure fast moving air from around the sides of the mountain. You need to wrap it completely in order to test it without this problem.
I want you to go overboard with the poop myth. Build a huge city and put 2000+ poo outlets along the entire edge of the map. (edit) To make it better, go to the top of a mountain and fill the entire top with poo outlets. Fill the whole land!
Myth: Wind can extinguish forest fires (using tall walls to make the wind flow faster through a man made valley) Another myth: The smoke from forest fires follows the actual wind direction
For replacing the sea with poo you could have started the way you did but every time the poo level goes down just a little add more outlets and increase population
Not sure I'd live in Milton Keynes, but I love that it exists as an experiment. But I can totally understand that you'd 100% need GPS to get around because everything looks the same lol
Im now imagining going on a walk, looking towards the usually beautiful landscape of the mountains, only to see a poonami (poo-tsunami) hurdling towards the city
5:55 matt it wont snow if you drop the temperature to -50 degrees c or -50 degrees f... cos -50 f is 10 c which is above freezing, and snow only falls (mostly when around the 0 c mark... cos the colder it is the drier the air is, therefore its rarer and rarer for it to snow.. for example at -15 c there is only 25% of the normal moisture... so im guessing at -50 c it would probably be 1% moisture or something very low
Ninety-Ninth day of suggesting RCE "Showing us that even the path of poo is a very important one and not to be neglected" Matt to play a game that he has already played but because of my OCD I need it to be one hundred days or I'll be unable to sleep. BTW, the game was "Oxygen Not Included"
If you notice, it looked to me like the water didn't go over the dam itself, it went over the sides of the dam, spilling back to the middle after. The top of the dam itself was always visible with no water over it.
actually with how air physics work, there absolutely would be air pollution being spiralled around and mixed into the air going into the pit. While there might not as much pollution on average going in, the heavy exhaust particles will sink down and stay there, building up more and more over time. This literally happens IRL with cities built in low spots or surrounded by mountains, I believe it was San Francisco (or one of the big Cali cities) that was really bad here, and there are a few others that i've heard about in the UK or India or China.
you should make a dam to the highest point and make it a line from one side of the map to the other because water cant go "out of bounds" and it woud take a long time for the water to get the the top creating an efficient dam
We finally got the first couple for roundabouts in my city finished. I was worried at first because of where they were putting them I was not sure if there was enough space but they made them work.
the boat myth, what if its on a big river map let the boats travel up the river to a dock and back, not using the edge that supplies the water for the river. Then if it's blocked or diverted you would have a shipping lane on land since it dries up.
Mat i saw once you did the snow there was a water problem, something about the pressure, 6:26, so could like freezing temperature affect the water pipes pressure
Important question. Can you make an underground sewage storage? Like what if that poop volcano had a lid on top with no exits. Is that possible and if so, what would happen when it gets full?
I'm not entierly concinced that the poo off the edge of the map was tested properly here? Maybe it is blocked like a wall, but the poo would have flowed like that anyways because it was being pumped slightly up hill. If it simulated the physics but cut off the graphics at the border then it might get the same effect that was seen here? Even if not, the other way of doing this where it is put into the far end of the river would still apply to "pumping poo off the edge of the map without consequences". Though the specific part of the specific edge matters then.
I found a poo glitch you can try out.... i was in the middle of raising and lowering the poo hole i made. but i had brush strength on almost max and some how it glitched to produce a tsunami of poo. the city was only just starting so there shouldnt have been that much poo to come out of the hole. the weird part was that the hole kept pumping out more poo even after the tsunami of poo was over. (i say tsunami but it only really covered the initial island i started on.)
Since terraforming is free, why not just dig an effectively infinite pit then dump septic there? it'll take long enough to fill that it's a problem for future engineers.
I can think nothing better for the environment then poo water. I can think of nothing better to sell bottle, poo water to the masses. I could think of nothing better than to have water poo parks. Can't wait to ride the chocolate wave. I can think of nothing better than to sell loo purfume to the masses
CS1 and 2 giving you a bunch of options on how to deal with sewage, but all this time later our boy here still just uses the absolute worst possible method and dumps it literally anywhere.
Matt, this Thursday, Epic Games is giving away free copies of a game called The Bridge in which you have to navigate impossible architecture. It's perfect for your channel! Please play it!
One thing I take offense with is how you say american's don't like roundabouts. In the midwest in the states, there is a town called Carmel, in Indiana that has over 140 roundabouts, and people love them.
Imagine enjoying a nice summer day only to be greeted by -50° in a matter of seconds
That's basically Finland.
That's just Canada lol
Bro
I see a thumbnail from RCE with Poop and I just click. I don't even read it anymore. I guess this is my life now.
He's the only poop related channel I'm subscribed to, I swear.
This is now officially the worst joke I've ever made... also I'm happy to see a fellow Terry here.
Only thing missing is the strongest shape
Pretty shitty
You should have put the sewage outlets into a river heading to the border instead of a mountain since the fluids can escape the map there
Isn't that just the normal and intended playthrough?
that's what I was thinking, just put it on the river right next to the border
Matt turns into an architect when he films these myth busting episodes.
exactly
No. It's funnier that way
I guess we now know why in Timberborners, the poo water was spawning in the mountains...
timberborners lore?? after humanity died out and the beavers rise, the poofall and badtide from the moutains washes down
3:56 i always though the water came out of the bottom of the dam cos that's where the highest pressure is. water coming over the top was the spillway to control the excess build up of water.
The fact that the line border went up is incredible

Build a tire factory that specializes in extra durable left hand tires for the cars and you'll become a millionaire in a week.
My mind goes back to that video of a Japanese racing bike which was purpose built to just go left in a circular flat race track and the special tires they have. This bike with a 400cc engine just handily defeats everything else being 1000 cc MotoGP bikes.
Matt: Urm... -50'C is too cold to snow :)
Alright now I want a full video of you trying to replace the whole sea with poo. I didn't want one before, but now I do.

Tell that to Thames Water, please.

I think it's 3 weeks this time...
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming RIP, really throws off my daily lunch and RCE video schedule 😂
A suggestion for your next cities skylines video: A City that is only run by trains
Everytime I see poop in my suggestions, it's gotta be RCE.

I’d love to see him play the create mod in Minecraft.
Ah yes. The Create Mod. Perfect for Engineers.
6:53 surroundabouted
7:32 swidon used to have two magic roundabouts, search for auto shenanigans
Those mountains were the kind of thing HP Lovecraft would write about.

Hi, you forgot how air pressure works for the air pollution. By making the mountain, you made a low pressure zone that sucks in the high pressure fast moving air from around the sides of the mountain.
You need to wrap it completely in order to test it without this problem.
Granted I'm a bit colorblind and so my color perception is occasionally odd, but that poo water is distressingly red.
I want you to go overboard with the poop myth. Build a huge city and put 2000+ poo outlets along the entire edge of the map.
(edit) To make it better, go to the top of a mountain and fill the entire top with poo outlets. Fill the whole land!
12:44 giving us insight into how the Dutch came to reclaim so much land from the North Sea! Without using windmills though.
Actually you CAN discharge your poop out of the map by just dumping it near the edge of the map in a river that flow out of the map.... 🙂
6:38 I did that in the first game, I also did it with hexigons.
Myth: Wind can extinguish forest fires (using tall walls to make the wind flow faster through a man made valley)
Another myth: The smoke from forest fires follows the actual wind direction
9:30 you CAN stop air pollution with a mountain, use the airpollution overlay to see how it is reduced, mind you it takes time.
For replacing the sea with poo you could have started the way you did but every time the poo level goes down just a little add more outlets and increase population
Not sure I'd live in Milton Keynes, but I love that it exists as an experiment. But I can totally understand that you'd 100% need GPS to get around because everything looks the same lol
finally you’re not playing that beaver game

wooo, recognition for Milton Keynes!

With the last myth you should make multiple of those starting holes 😉 the trick isn't perfect but it would work a lot faster with the level of poop 😂
you made a Poo-Sea
i noticed a while ago when i post a video with poop in the title i get thousands of views too lol it works though
If you notice, it looked to me like the water didn't go over the dam itself, it went over the sides of the dam, spilling back to the middle after.

The person that submitted "a functioning all roundabout city isn't possible" has clearly never been to Milton Keynes
you should make a dam to the highest point and make it a line from one side of the map to the other because water cant go "out of bounds" and it woud take a long time for the water to get the the top creating an efficient dam
Navigating the roundabout city would be a nightmare.
For making the poo sea, you could do it with the glitch in batches then just connect them together.
I guess the next obvious step is to check if you can pump poo into the off-map sea tiles.
There;s a really nice water generating mod on the thunderstore. You could have a lot of fun with that
Make a city with the plots shaped like pp
If you redirect rivers they create new river paths on there own
@12:49 it's Steamboat Willy!
Give the editor a 1 dollar raise for his hard work
You can ground ship....
Lower water level and ship will drive like car
We finally got the first couple for roundabouts in my city finished. I was worried at first because of where they were putting them I was not sure if there was enough space but they made them work.
Myth for next time: You can use anikey to build out of city limits!
Here's one for your next myth video: Driving on the right side of the road is more efficient and profitable than driving on the left.
the boat myth, what if its on a big river map let the boats travel up the river to a dock and back, not using the edge that supplies the water for the river. Then if it's blocked or diverted you would have a shipping lane on land since it dries up.
You say Milton Keynes, I think "Red Bull Formula 1 is based there!" 😂
I swear if he actually is an engineer and someone hires him... we are in a lot of trouble
Now we know what happened to humanity and where the poop water comes from in Timberborn.
Try drinking or draining the water from the ship lines by isolating them from the ocean then draining the water already inside the line
Mat i saw once you did the snow there was a water problem, something about the pressure, 6:26, so could like freezing temperature affect the water pipes pressure
I went to milton keynes this week
Great vid!
always a good day when RCE posts CS2
Important question. Can you make an underground sewage storage? Like what if that poop volcano had a lid on top with no exits. Is that possible and if so, what would happen when it gets full?
i would love to see if the poop and sea beyond the map border stay seperated
Can you let the poo flow off the end of the map through the sea/river?
Oh yea'~ My fav type of RCE video-
Finally.. I've waited for this video.
I'm not entierly concinced that the poo off the edge of the map was tested properly here? RCE casually using nuclear waste repository "monuments" to control air pollution.
Matt you gotta try Frostpunk.
I have a request. Could you try modeling a city after a well known one from different countries please?
It seems Matt loves causing Pooroblems

Can you make waterfalls in City Skylines 2? Or even poopfalls?
You could make multiple poo holes since the one hole only extends so far.

Hi Matt. Love the vids mate keep it up!!
18:08 no you can! ☹️
